After returning to the Summers,I finally understood what it was like to live a rich life.When my aunt saw me come home,she prepared a huge walk-in closet for me.I could wear different clothes every day for the next month...When my grandmother saw that I looked so much like my father,she excitedly came forward and took my hand,saying she wanted to give me her ancestral emerald bracelet.I was a bit overwhelmed and didn't know what to do,feeling very awkward.My aunt seemed to see my embarrassment and held my hand,saying,"Elena,we're family.Anythings happens in the future, anything, you can just tell us."
I nodded gratefully,thinking, so this was what family felt like...
When I got back to school,Lily immediately asked me how my problem with the professor was solved.After all,I had applied for a postgraduate program abroad,and if I graduated late because of this,all my efforts would be in vain.I smiled and told her,"It's all sorted out.Everything’s fine."

The next moment,Amanda's voice came again.She snorted coldly and said,"Why does everyone else have to take the class again if they skipped it,but you can just get away with it?"
"Could it be that you're having an affair with your professor!"
Lily was so angry that she stepped forward to scold her,but I stopped her."Amanda,if you continue to tell people things you made up about me,I'll sue you for slandering your classmate."
But Amanda wasn't afraid.She thought that with my mother backing her up,I wouldn't dare."You want to study abroad?I won't let your mother give your the money!"
It was ridiculous.Even if she didn't say that,my mother wouldn't give me money anyway.
"Our Elena has already saved enough money on her own.She can totally support herself.Just get lost!"Lily retorted.

As soon as she heard that I had money to study abroad,Amanda gritted her teeth in anger."Ha,big deal.Just you wait.You won't be able to go!"
Amanda wasn't joking.After she left,she immediately told my mother that I had saved money to study abroad.In a fit of anger,my mother froze my bank account.Since my card was attatched to hers,she directly transferred all the money away,leaving me with no way out.
I went to confront her angrily,but she said,"What's so good about studying abroad?Can't you just drop that thought and live your life here?"
I sneered and said,"It's because Amanda doesn't have the opportunity to study abroad, isn’t it,that’s the reason you don't want me to go either!"

My mother's face turned red with anger, then turned pale when I exposed her.She grimaced and shouted angrily,"So what if it is!"
"Then give me back my money.I earned this money through hard work from my part-time jobs,and it also includes my living expenses."
When she heard me asking the money back,she laughed."I haven't even asked youfor all those moneyyou've spent all these years,and you still have the nerve to ask me for the money back?"
I couldn't understand why,although she was living a comfortable and wealthy life with my father's inheritance and could even support Charles and his daughter,she still acted like I owed her a huge debt.
"If my memory’s correct, my dear sister-in-law,the money you're spending now is my brother's,"said my aunt,who had appeared out of nowhere.She had heard everything that had just happened.
My mother was stunned when she saw my aunt.
"But this was money my brother willingly gave you.The Summers aren't stingy and won't ask you to pay it back.However,from now on,Elena is one of the Summers and has nothing to do with you anymore!"
