A beautiful field of lavender had grown since the last time I was here. Selen, even in death you still do beautiful things. I sat beside the small red brick that was covered by the flowers and dirt, the only reason I found it was because I placed it there. It served as a headstone for the one that created it.

My lips moved into a small smile as the memory of Selene's stunned then proud face on the day she created it appeared in my mind.

She had burnt her hand in the process but she smiled and said it was worth it.

'Selen. I'm sorry, I've not come to visit for too long. A lot of things have happened, Antonio is dead. Unfortunately, he took some people with him but we were able to save more."

I dusted the dirt off the stone with my fingers, wondering if I should pull out the flowers around it or not.

'The children are all big now. Somehow, Liam is with me. Yes, I didn't talk about it with you beforehand but I know you'll approve. Leila is a mom now, she's got twins and they're a handful. You should have seen her face when I found out she was pregnant." A happy chuckle left my lips. 'They were smart enough to hide it from everyone for months. They'll be very powerful soon. For now, they're just tiny babies that enjoy their parents attention and food."

Cool breeze filled with the scent of lavender and the woods passed through my hair. I knew that she would find it funny.

'Most importantly, they are have found a large family that will kill for them and they are happy. Very happy. Leila practically glows this days. When the kids are bigger, I will bring the whole family here."

I sat for a long time, just enjoying the serenity and quietness of the field that I had dedicated to burying my best friend in the entire universe.

'I really wish I could talk to people on the other side. I would have bullied the others if they're giving you trouble and held evening gist session with you…" I sighed. There were no tears in my eyes but my heart would never heal from this loss.

'... No matter how long it has been, I will always miss you and wish you were here."

In the end, I left the lavender growing around the stone undisturbed.

The End.
