The surprised expressions on everyone's faces confused me. I'll ask Xander later, for now, Grey was tired. It was very obvious but his effort in hiding it was applaudable.


I also didn't miss the look between him and Damien that I walked in on.

'Alright. I'm satisfied with Grey's alive state. Let's give him chance to rest. Hera apply whatever you need to and Damien watch over him till he falls asleep."

‘Meddler,' Lea accused.


‘Like you aren't curious about the relationship between them.'

‘I admit nothing.'


Xander smirked, 'you did good today Damien. Don't forget to also get some rest."

'Yes Alpha."

'The concoction isn't ready yet, give it an hour or two," Hera said. 'I'll check your bandages then."

'Thank the Goddess," Grey murmured, his voice loud enough for everyone to hear.

Xander and I laughed.

'You little shit," teased Hera with a smile on her face.

'Don't insult the recovering patient," Grey pouted. 'Didn't your master teach you that?"

'My master also taught me a lot of repulsing things that cures pain."

'You must have been a prodigy then," Grey sniffed, instantly switching to flattery.

I laughed hard, 'recover quickly Grey. I'm already missing you."

'Thanks Luna."

I pushed the others out of the room and sent Damien a wink.

'I'm glad to see you both back in one piece," Hera said once I shut the door, it's not like Damien and Grey won't hear.

'I can't die knowing how miserable you will become without me," I teased.

'Grey isn't a good influence around here," Hera mumbled in reply.

Xander spoke while I giggled.

'You've deemed Sonia trustworthy then."

'Not entirely. I left the pack in Ash hands. He's the young man that was helping her and also part volana."

'There was a volana wolf in our pack?!" I asked, shocked. Xander had a thoughtful look on his face.

Sonia was not a good person but she wasn't bad exactly. She was just Sonia. I just didn't understand how a young man would move into a pack and chose to hang around with Sonia. Maybe he was helping her with ulterior motives, like becoming the Alpha. On the other hand, was I really that cut off from my wolf side that I didn't recognize a different specie of wolf in the pack I lived most of my life in?

'Yes, but he joined the pack recently and started helping Sonia manage it almost immediately. He assisted in the lifting of the mind hold, he has a pure heart."

'I owe him my gratitude then," said Xander.

I guess I was wrong about him.

'Me too…"

We made our way outside to see that people were gathering in front of the house.

'Most of the pack members are awake," I heard Regan say behind me.

'Regan!!" I turned and jumped into his open arms.

'I'm happy to see you too Leila." I felt him nod over my shoulder, probably at Xander.

'What's the gathering about?"

'I'm guessing they have received words about…"

'Liam!!" Hera shouted as she ran pass me. The crowd parted for her, revealing my twin brother that was flocked by children of all ages and had two sleeping children in his arms.

Hera somehow managed to press herself to his body and not wake the kids. The amount of things that woman could do was amazing.

'Well, that says what I wanted to and explained their relationship to me," Regan said.

Xander chuckled while I watched in amazement as my twin brother shared a sweet kiss with my teacher. How did that happen?

Lea laughed gleefully.

I groaned, stretching my sore body. I wasn't leaving the comfort that this soft bed was offering for anything.

'Today felt like ten years," I moaned as I heard the door open.

Xander, Regan and I had returned to the pack with some of the soldiers leaving Hera and Liam in charge of getting Antonio's pack in order. We stayed for a bit, helping parents and family reunite with their children, healing those that were injured.

Tomorrow, we will all regroup here and everyone will talk about what happened.

Xander chuckled, 'yeah?"

'Uh huh, it felt like it would never finish."

I hummed at the feeling of his warm hand on my ankle.

'How do you feel? About Antonio's death and everything."

I turned my head to stare at him above my shoulder. Everything happened so fast and with Lea in control during Antonio's death, I had not processed my emotions.

'Honestly, I don't know."

'What are you thinking?"

A pleased groan left my lips when he rubbed my ankles in a certain way. They have been aching for a while.

'I'm happy that Antonio is gone at the same time, I feel like he's still there. Like everything was too easy you know?"

He hummed in response, his massaging hands moved to my calf.

'It's almost like I will wake up and this was all a dream. That Antonio is still out there terrorizing people and hunting my mind. I'm also grateful that Grey is okay and sorta annoyed that I didn't get to kill him myself."

This time Xander chuckled.

'You could have shifted and finished him off."

'I wanted you to kill him." I definitely had a pout on my face as I said that.

'Hmm."

The cool feeling of his lips on me sent tingles down my spine in addition to the warmth coming from his body.

'You did good today baby. You were brave and handled your emotions properly today in spite of your fears. I'm proud of you love, the Goddess answered my prayers by pairing us."

My cheeks were beginning to ache from the force I was using to smile, I hid my glowing face in my arms.

'Flatterer."

'I will be happy to give you something else if you don't want words."

Finally, his fingers reached my silently aching core but he only gave it a light caress and groped my ass. His grip was firm and possessive.

'I'll like that."
