The sorcerer who would help me do the ritual paused.

'Someone just left the house."

I stared at the door, there was no need to go after the person. There was nothing they could do right now.


'Leave them, stopping me is impossible right now. I just need to find that girl."

He nodded, 'I'll be on my way. You know how to call me when you find her." He got up and dusted off invisible dirts from his robes.


'You won't stay?" I asked, following him out of the house.

'I have other people to attend to in the meantime."

'I understand. As far as you don't delay when I need you then we're good."

He nodded and walked away, murmuring teleportation spells.

My mind wondered back to the volana wolf in the forest. There was no records on them because they were said to be extinct, that aside, why didn't she kill me. She had the power to.

I sighed, there was no need to think about that now. Once I obtain the powers from Lelia, I can hunt her down. Right now, finding Lelia was priority.

I headed back to the border. Amelia was right earlier, we needed to search deeper and as dangerous as splitting up was, that was the fastest way to cover more ground. We also needed some people to stay behind and guard the pack. I should stay but finding Lelia was more important, with her powers I could get at pack of my choice.

'Get me Amelia." I ordered once I got to the border.

The guard ran off in fear.

'Sir." Another guard said, bowing.

'What is it? Have you found them?"

'No, but Lady Amelia asked for information on surrounding packs. I can't find her so I decided to bring it to you."

I took the papers from him. Amelia was brilliant, her strategic skills and war sense shocked me sometimes. She would have made a great leader but fortunately for me, she'll always answer to me.

'She'll be here soon." I told the guard and focused on the papers.

There were a few packs around but the most suspicious was Lucian's pack. With Xander dead, the bond between them will get stronger and Damien was the one who got her back the last time. Who knows what type of alliance they formed.

'Divide the men into three groups, one to guard the pack, another to continue the search and one to come with me. Let's pay Lucian a visit."

The guard I asked to find Amelia came running. He knelt down with his head on the floor.

'Sir…I…no one knows where Lady Amelia is."

The soldiers around became silent and shifted away quietly.

'What do you mean you can't find her?"

'No one seems to know where she is my Lord."

The guard that gave me the packs information spoke up, 'She said she was coming to see you sir, after asking me to find information."

'Someone just left the house."

So it was her.

I took a deep breath, killing these guards won't achieve anything. All the pieces were beginning to forget that I'm the one in control.

'Group number two find both Lelia and my daughter, bring them back alive or close to death."

'Yes sir!!" They chorused.

'From now on, anyone that acts out of line will loose a head, am I clear?"

'Yes sir!!" The fear in their voice brought a crude smile to my face.

'Now, let's pay Lucian a visit."

'What is the meaning of this? Unhand me this moment. You're on my land and you dare to treat me like this!" I heard Lucian screaming from outside the tent.

'Lucian." I greeted as they dumped him before me.

We had camped just outside their pack but out of view from their patrolling guards. I sent some of them to kidnap Lucian, taking him by surprise.

'What is the meaning of this Antonio?"

'I'll let that slide. I'm the one asking questions, so do your best to answer."

He glared at me but kept his mouth shut.

'Where is Lelia?"

'How the fuck will I know?" He spat.

I sighed and looked at the guard beside him. Lucian grunted as they kicked his stomach twice.

'Stop. Let's try this again. Where is Lelia?"

Lucian's glare turned more venomous and I'm sure I won't be alive if look could kill but it could not.

'I don't know."

'Really? What about Damien?"

'Who?"

More kicks were delivered to his coiled body.

'Damien, the one who came to get her last time."

He spat out blood, 'He isn't here either."

I looked at his pitiable face that was swollen and knew he was telling the truth. If they weren't here, then where did they go.

'Did anything strange happen in your pack recently?"

I watched him think.

'I don't have all day Lucian." The guards inched closer to deliver another beating.

'Wait! Wait…there were some strange rumors."

'Oh?"

'Some people believed that one of my best guards was Lelia's brother. I questioned him and it turned out that he wasn't."

A nephew? Did my sister have a son? There's nothing that says she didn't, after all, she had a daughter. But where was he hiding all along and why didn't they go to Black Pool Pack together?

'Where is this guard? Bring him to me."

Lucian's eyes darted around, 'he's…missing."

'Damn it!!! Give him some more beating."

'What? Why…argh!"

I paced, the sound of Lucian pleading in the background. So this brother must have snuck into my pack and left with Lelia, but where does Damien fit in this?

Or did he join them for revenge?

Too many unknowns!! Fuck!!

'Stop. I didn't get anything useful from you, but as a token of my gratitude for your cooperation, I'll kill only one person in your pack."

'What?? Please, don't do this. I told you everything I know."

'That's why I'm being nice and killing only one."

My guards dragged out his whore and I took pleasure in the look of horror that spread on his face.
