**ANTONIO**
"Release the girl and bring her to me." I ordered. The time was nigh and I had to start putting things in order for the sacrifice. Getting every other thing that was needed for the sacrifice was quite easy but the only thing that wasn't easy was the girl.
Her powers were heightening by the day and each day I had to live through it with a shaky heart. I wondered how high and mighty her powers would have grown if I hadn't ordered that wolfsbane be released into her cell to tame her wolf within.
I couldn't let anything go below my nose.
Few minutes later the guard I had ordered to bring Leila was moving towards me but without the girl and a sullen yet worried expression on his face.
I've seen that look so many times to know that it was only on a person's face when they had failed in a task given but this was no task. He was only to bring the girl from her cell.
Or had she suddenly grew violent again?
"Where is the girl?" I was already questioning before he would get close to me and he went down on one knee.
"My Lord, the girl isn't in her cell." The world stopped and time paused as I stared at him and bursted into laughter.
"I'm sure guards have a certain fear for their life that they don't try to make a joke." I grimaced, twisting my head to a side as I studied his face. His knees were still on the floor and his head bent. He wasn't joking, she was really gone.
I stood up abruptly and raced to her cell only to meet the shackles of the iron that was used to tie her down on the floor. There was no sign of any explosion or force used, rather it seemed like someone had freed her.
"Where is Amelia?" I grunted and the sound of my voice shook the entire floor of the palace. That was the only person I could think of, perhaps Amelia had freed Leila just to kill her and suit her ego.
"Calm down dad. what's the fuss about?" I heard her voice behind me as her footsteps thudded across the room while she walked towards me.
"Where is she?" I bared my fangs to her as it was almost like I was losing control. My eyes had darkened and at this point I knew that my inner wolf had peaked.
"Where is who? What are you talking about exactly?" She questioned staring around in confusion or rather I would say she was feigning ignorance.
"Amelia you know me better than to pull stunts on me. Where is Leila?" My voice echoed across the room as I grabbed her neck, my already visible claws digging into her flesh.
"Isn't she supposed to be in her cell? So why in the world would you be asking me such question?" She squinted her eyes and looked past me to Leila's cell and her eyes widened.
"Hold up a bit, she's gone?" Amelia questioned, her voice filled with surprise and sounding a little bit croaky due to the effect of my claws choking life out of her.
I stared into her eyes and I found the answer I least expected.
She wasn't the one that took Leila.
"Tell Damien to round up the armies, Leila is gone and we need to find her as soon as possible." I ordered as I matched off to the front of the palace, the guards were letting out their howls for an impromptu meeting.
"Round up the remaining pack members that aren't part of us, I mean the ones that were held captive as we conquered this place. Anyone and I mean literally anyone is a suspect now." I dished out orders to Amelia and she ran off immediately to do as I ordered.
My precious little lamb.
"My Lord, can the orders of rounding up the armies be given to another general?, General Damien isn't anywhere to be found." One of the guards came announcing and I felt my head click in realization.
"Damien isn't in the pack?" I asked just to be sure before I jumped into conclusion though the conclusion was already clear and staring at me right hard in the face.
"We aren't exactly sure that he isn't in the pack but we haven't found him yet." They picked their words carefully, perhaps because they didn't want to put him in trouble for something that he may or may not be guilty of.
"He isn't in the pack if he isn't in his station. Tell Lane to round up the soldiers." I stated and fell into a seat as a smile coiled up on my lips.
Cute stupid and foolish boy must have found out that I had killed off his sister who was bait in a fit of rage.
But that didn't give him the right to snitch on me or anything, the only thing he would be meeting for daring to snitch on me is his death. He must have helped Leila escape but escaping wasn't the end of it. They didn't know the woods as much as I knew so I was sure that I would catch up with them in no time.
They should have known that the main deal wasn't in escaping, did they have any plan in mind?
But still, before two people brazen up that they would want to escape, they must have been plotting it out for a while.
Under my nose?
"Fetch me the people on patrol last night." I ordered to no one in particular though I knew that anyone nearby who heard my request would scurry off to heed my request unless they wanted their heads given to the rouges as food.
"My Lord." Someone called few minutes later and I looked up to see some set of guards.
"You were on patrol last night so how was someone able to leave the pack and none of you were aware?"
