"This is quite interesting! If my powers can actually hypnotize you to hear your damned thoughts and know what's going on in that dark mind of yours, then I love it" I yelled as I stared at them unable to believe what I had just heard.


"You fucking hypnotized us, bitch!!" Amelia yelled and I just stuck my tongue out in mockery.

"So what you really want to do is harm Alpha Xander huh?" I asked as tears brimmed at the base of my eyes threatening to fall.

The danger Alpha Xander must be in currently.


"Leila, girl I think Lucian's pack really polished you but it failed to teach you the basics." Antonio said as he began chuckling like a maniac, a fucking psychopath that's what he is.

"What the hell do you mean by that?" I yelled. No matter how hurt I felt that I had trusted someone like Antonio, I really wanted him to explain and the more he laughed like he had no care in the world, the more annoyed I grew.


"Did you really think you could hypnotize me? Of all people, Leila I thought you knew more and honestly, I thought spending some time with your mate would really awaken your senses." Antonio stated as he trailed invisible lines on the table right in front him.

"What do you mean by that?" I asked but this time my voice was milder and the tears didn't cease to fall because I really wanted to hear what he was saying and understand it because I don't understand what is going on here.

"Look at you crying and throwing a fit because you think you've been betrayed. Do you think we would be a betrayer like you?" Amelia asked peering me in the eye and I twitched my eyebrows staring hard at her.

"What do you mean by 'betrayer like me'? What is that supposed to entail?" I asked but this time it was not because I wanted to yelp or cry or scream at the top of my voice but because I was asking out of curiosity.

"Can someone give me an answer because the last time I checked, I never betrayed anyone." I said with a firm voice staring at them with a rigid face.

If someone doesn't give an explanation as to what is going on here, I might literally go crazy at any moment right now.

"Let me break it down to you because your head including your memory seems jogged. You ran away from our pack with your mate. Our pack that has housed, clothed, fed and showed you love only because you met your soulmate. Its not like anyone is actually stopping you from going to your soulmate but doing it behind our back? Wow, that must have took some audacity." Amelia reiterated eyeing me with disdain and I felt my tongue cleave to the roof of my tongue.

"Is that how you say thank you to my father? Running away?" She questioned with a judgemental look on her face and I felt guilt flow right down my veins.

"Everyone should please back up and hold back a little. If I ran away with him then I most certainly wouldn't have willingly accepted to come back with Damien."

"Or didn't he tell you that I made that decision willingly? Did you all have to act like you're hypnotized so that would lure me back? Is that it?" I questioned staring at them in disbelief and Amelia nodded before rolling her eyes.

"Of course that is it. What else did you expect us to do when we didn't know if you would tell your mate to send an army after us just after maybe you must have acted like you actually willingly followed us?" Amelia shot back and I saw that same judgemental look plastered on Antonio's eyes and my heart broke.

They really thought I betrayed them and did all they could to get me back and I immediately rushed into Antonio's arm to his utmost surprise.

"What's the meaning of this?" He questioned before finally wrapping his arms around me. I knew that his look would be a confused and bewildered one.

"I didn't betray you uncle. That snake, Lucian staged the war and drugged me whisking me away to his pack. Trust me, I tried all I could there to get back here but their security was very tight." I said sniffing back the tears that flowed out of my eyes.

"Yeah right! You expect us to believe that crap? As much as I think that I know you, I think at this point, you shouldn't be trusted. Who knows? You might be calling Lucian the snake when in truth, you're a serpent." She hissed and I disengaged from the hug and used the back of my palm to clear out the droplets of tears that hazed my view before staring at her

"Why do you like picking on me so much? I don't get it. Does it give you so much satisfaction or it makes you sleep better at night?" I asked trying to understand what would be the cause of all the bitterness in her dark, evil and bitter soul.

Trust me when I say , her heart is dark, evil and bitter.

All definitions and shades of wickedness, god damn it!

"Do you—" Amelia tried countering when Antonio abruptly shut her up with a raise of his hands and a hard glare accompanying it that made her swallow her bucket of bile and evil harmful words.

"Amelia, even a demon with red haunting eyes would know that Leila just told us the absolute truth. Why can't you see it?" He yelled and she just rolled her eyes with a slight bend in her lips like she was mocking him.

"But dad—" She tried replying but yet again he raised his hands so firmly and so strong that even I placed my hands on my lips to make sure that my lips were properly closed.

"No more word from you!!" He ordered and she just bent her head in shame.

"Let's go in, my dear." He stated and placed his hands on my back while he led me inside.

I'm going to lay low for a while! Though they claimed that I didn't hypnotize them, there's something real about what they had said and for that I plan to keep that a secret for now.

I also plan to keep my brother a secret until I'm able to meet him again and explain all these to him.
