"Oh my goodness Luna, that was such a hard joke and I couldn't even believe that I bought it for a second." Amaya stated as she busted out in laughter making me twitch my left eyebrow looking at her in disdain.

"Tenila, did you hear me or you want me to repeat myself?" I asked placing my hands on my waist standing at akimbo.

"Luna, but I can't. She's a superior and raising my hands on her would only result in making the Alpha throw me into the dungeon which I must tell you, isn't the nicest place to be." Tenila answered with visible fright edged on her face as she shuddered a beat at the mention of the dungeon.


"It's good that your brain is still functioning very well, else one word from me and you'll be back in the dungeon if it's your favorite place to be. Now would you take your first aid kit and get out of this place right now before I change my mind of handling justice with mercy?" Amaya yelled and Tenila nodded vigorously running back to the bed as she wrapped the first aid kit and ran out the door.

"Well I guess I'll have to do this myself." I stated and like a flash of lightning, I sent a slap across her face as hard as I could and when I retrieved my hand, I was sure it would leave some imprints.


"How dare you? You might be the Luna but I have to tell you that there are ways and procedures that things run around here and I promise you that this slap wouldn't go unpunished." She groveled holding the side of her face I had slapped as she winced in pain.

"You're right. I am the Luna and that gives me authority over here," I stated and for a moment i couldn't believe that i had accepted that cringe title from them."

"Now would you mind getting out of my room? I have a kind of allergy to people who can't control their hand as much as they can't control their mouth." I fired and she glared at me almost in a way to tell me that she was surely going to have her revenge as she stomped out of the room.

I allowed the first aid that Tenila had applied on my wounds to sink in for some hours and then I decided to wash up.

I was already getting bored from staying inside the house too long so after washing up and changing my clothing into something more decent, i decided to take a stroll around the pack.

If not anything, I needed to get acquainted with my surroundings if I was going to be able to escape this place.

Walking out of the room, I just took the hall way leading to the right. Having no idea where that would lead me until I came to a dead end.

"Hello. You must be the new Luna? Are you going somewhere because you seem to be lost?" He commented and I smiled weakly approaching the guard.

"I'm looking for my way outside." I said on getting to him and he nodded before leading the way towards the front porch.

"I'd advise you don't wander too far, the Alpha would be back anytime soon." He said in a low and soft voice and I flashed him a smile before walking off.

With hurried steps to walk down the porch aisle, I missed a few steps and tripped.

I was about hitting the ground when a firm hand grasped my waist saving me from falling and as I turned, I saw the guard that had just showed me my way.

He was the one that saved me but that wasn't the thing that kept my eyes glued on him as I stared at him in shock.

Taking my line of sight to his eyes, he was also staring at his arm and back to my arm in horror.

We had the exact same, crown with a moon diagram at the top birthmark and we had it in the exact same place.

"What's going on here?" Lucian's baritone voice came and I turned to see Lucian staring at him with anger in his eyes.

He immediately withdrew his hand as i gained balance and rolled down his sleeves immediately so Lucian wouldn't see the mark while I also straightened the sleeves of my cloth.

"I asked a question right?" He bellowed and the guard bent his face before attempting to explain while I cut him off.

"You know you can't get all the answers you want when you bark at people like that all the time? Anyways, I tripped on my way and he saved me else I would have had my face in the mud." I said, clearing my throat and Lucian eyed him one more time before coming closer to me and while grabbing my wrist he walked off with me.

"I don't want to see you mingling with these commoners." He commanded as we went back in and that puts me on edge.

I forcefully withdrew my hand from his grip as I folded my hands across my chest, standing and giving him a challenging look.

"What would happen if I don't listen to you?" I queried and he stopped, swerving to look at me resignedly before he walked back to me and picked me off the floor; pitching me on his shoulders as he walked towards my room.

We were almost at my room door when one of the maids who looked like a kitchen maid Because of the apron she put on and the additional faint scent of fried eggs on her came running towards us.

"Alpha, Amaya has been locked up all day in her room and she is a devastating sight to behold. She said there's something you need to see hurriedly." The maid informed and almost immediately, Lucian dropped me on the spot and ran off to Amaya's.

And something within me kept telling me that this was the first step to accomplishing her revenge.
