ANTONIO'S POV
How could she still be loyal to someone she was very far apart from? I wondered.
If not anything, it pissed me off.
Not that I cared about anything she did, but it pissed me off.
Guess I was stupid enough to think that a few days of her listening to me would bring her to her knees, well...it was quite clear that she wouldn't succumb to me no matter how hard I tried if she revered Xander that much.
"Damien, please return Leila to her cell." Antonia ordered Damien who had just walked into the room as his eyes darkened in Anger.
Leilla's mouth immediately snapped open as she stared at me wide-eyed.
"Wait, you're my uncle and you promised that I would not be going back to the cell. Did I do something that angered you? Because I'm more than willing to apologize." Leila pleaded in total oblivion of the cause of my anger.
"Damien I would be saying it twice if I repeat myself again." I ordered banging my hand on the table and that immediately set Damian's feet in Motion.
Going behind Leila, he twisted her hands and dragged her back to her cell.
'Why are you doing this? I did nothing wrong. You were totally cool with me a few minutes ago, what changed?" Leila asked as Tears built up in her eyes and she stared at me with a pained expression.
'So much for saying that we didn't need to treat her with torture and Pain. I guess you now see my fear." Amelia's voice echoed from behind my back.
Standing up abruptly, I shot her a glare before dishing out my order.
'Keep some warriors on the lookout so they would be able to ward off Xander's men if they ever get close.* I instructed and Amelia coughed.
'I guess what you want to say is we should prepare for a battle because they are already here." Amelia announced and my eyes widened.
'How did they know that she was here? We did everything without a single Trace so if they know she's here and coming directly at us Then one of you must have leaked out." I said eyeing Amelia suspiciously then it occurred to me that she was behaving weirdly earlier.
Like there was something she was hiding from me.
But coming to think of it there is no actual reason why I should blame my daughter.
She was there through thick and thin and she even helped in planning this whole thing, and if there was anything I knew properly it was my daughter's desire to be Luna.
But then I'd grown up never to trust anyone even your own bloodline so what if she really sold me out?
What if they offered something bigger and better?
'Amelia, I'm talking to you now. How did they know that Leila was here?" I yelled as Damien Came Running Out with a shocked expression on his face.
'Are you seriously asking me that? How was I supposed to know? If I wasn't on the lookout, I wouldn't even have noticed that they are Warriors are coming this way and I wouldn't have warned you. What are you even insinuating?" Amelia asked, finally getting the hint that I might be suspecting her.
'Well, I guess now isn't the time to talk about what I think. it is time to act. Amelia, can't you act like you were kidnapped or something and try to distract the Warriors." I questioned, my brain moving in a complete 360°
'Yeah right. That would have been possible if a wanted warrant wasn't placed over my head immediately she was kidnapped and I wasn't found." Amelia stated and I nodded my head.
'Well then. Tell the guards at the front row to keep their eyes on a lookout and make sure they take down every soldier that is in here searching for Leilla before they even get close. Else, I would not mind feeding their heads to the rogues undergoing tribulation." Antonio growled and immediately Damian left to relieve the messages to the guards at front.
Few minutes later Damien reentered, announcing to us that he had relayed the message to all the guards and they had put up their strongest warhol.
'So I guess, now we wait and see the outcome of everything." Demian suggested and I snapped my head in his direction.
'Do you not know War? We do not wait, we take Leila out of here before they get their hands on her." I stated and the both of them nodded and when I mean the both of them, I'm implying— Antonio and Amelia.
'My lord." One of the guards called as he knelt, bringing his face to the ground.
The way he rushed in like a tornado made me feel like the battle had already started.
'What is it?" I asked stating the obvious.
'It seems the warriors that my lady had seen weren't coming in this Direction. It has reached us that they divided their search party and just searched randomly. They just diverted locations".
The guard announced and I left out a huge sign releasing a deep breath I didn't know I was holding.
'Wait, are you serious?" Amelia asked because she knew she could be in trouble for that.
'Absolutely sure, my lady." The guard answered and I dismissed him.
'Amelia before you bring the news next time to me, I really want you to be sure that you're stating the obvious, do not dare give me what you're thinking, do you understand?" I warned and she nodded. Her expression wasn't quite pleasant but I couldn't care less.
Sitting back down I wondered where the situation would have taken a turn to if truly Xander's men were coming, that would mean stressing out on another war which wouldn't be worth it because there's no way I would ever let them have their hands on Leila.
But almost immediately, I heard a huge bang on the door and the door to the room broke open.
