Jane's POV

Immediately I got home, I ran to my bathroom and sat on the cold bathroom floor, my back pressed against the tub. The morning light poured in through the wide glass window, too bright for how I feel. My head rang, but it was not from the alcohol anymore. It was from something worse, from the truth and from betrayal.

I wrapped my arms around my knees. My whole body ached and there were small bruises on my thigh and shoulder. I knew they weren't there before.

I remembered every bit and piece, his voice, soft in my ear, my laughter and smile. My hands touched his chest and I moved closer, unaware.

My chest tightened, and bile rose to my throat and I rushed to the sink and vomited.

When I lifted my face, I looked at myself in the mirror and my eyeliner was smudged. My lipstick was gone and my eyes looked empty and I didn't even look like me.

I grabbed my phone and blocked his number and I deleted his contact and then I deleted every single message he ever sent me, photos, voice notes. All of it were gone and I even threw my phone across the room and hit the wall and crashed to the floor, the screen cracked and still it was not enough.

I needed to act fast.

I got dressed and avoided the mirror. I called my lawyer, Ava. I didn't hold back. I told her everything, what happened, how I felt, how I was drugged, how I woke up next to him and I heard the fury in her voice. She said we would move forward immediately.

'File it as rape," I said. 'Don't soften the word."

Then I asked her to hire a private investigator. 'Find Emily," I said and my voice was shaking. 'I don't care what it costs."

I got to the hospital. I asked for a full medical check-up and evidence report. The nurse was gentle. She didn't ask many questions.

When I changed into the hospital gown, I stared at the bruises again and I took pictures too. I wanted every part of this documented. I wanted it all written down, every single mark. But even after the tests, I still felt dirty.

On my way back, I sat in the car and thought about Nathan, about how he betrayed me with another woman. About how I forgave him, then burnt for it and how I swore I would never be used again. Never be taken advantage of. Never lose myself in someone else's power.

And yet, here I am.

When I got home, I called my media director and demanded a total press lockdown. "If anyone leaks this before I'm ready, they're fired. No exceptions."

I hung up and fell on the bed and for the first time in a long time, I cried.

Emily's POV

I sipped champagne from a crystal flute as I stared out the window of a luxury suite. City lights blinked beneath me, it was far away and safe. I turned back toward the king-sized bed covered in shopping bags and new designer dresses.

I was supposed to feel amazing, I was supposed to feel proud, however instead, I kept checking my phone. There were no texts from Hades and no calls from Jane.

I already blocked her because I didn't want the guilt, I didn't want to hear her voice when she found out, when she remembered everything.

The last thing Hades told me was, "She just needs to relax. I will handle the rest."

He wired the money quickly, Half was before the party and the half was after the party.

I told myself it was just business. I needed the money and I deserved it because Jane always acted like she was better than me, like she saved me. Maybe she did, but I was not her pet because I have dreams too.

Still, I couldn't stop thinking about her face when she found out the truth.

I poured another drink and I told myself I would be fine. But then I saw a news alert flash on the TV.

"Anonymous source confirms: A powerful female CEO is preparing legal action against a billionaire businessman."

I froze and I fumbled for my phone. I tried to call Hades but there was answer and I tried again but there was still nothing.

Panic tightened in my chest.

I grabbed my passport and rushed downstairs and I booked the first flight out of the country.

At the airport, I handed my documents to the officer, he scanned them, frowned, and then called for backup.

"Your passport has been flagged. You are not allowed to leave the country."

'What? That's impossible!"

But it was already done. Someone set me up and someone stopped me, someone knew.

I sat down in a corner of the airport and I tried to Hades again, but there was still no answer. I tried logging into my account and my balance showed a freeze. Everything was unraveling fast.

Hades' POV

I leaned back in my office chair, and stretched like a lion after a hunt. I was in a good mood, probably the best mood I have been in for years and I feel alive and satisfied.

I told my assistant to book dinner. 'Somewhere romantic, classy and private."

I sent Jane a text. 'Last night was magic." But there was no response.

I didn't think much of it, she was probably playing hard to get again and that was what women do. But by noon, my security chief walks in. His face looks tense.

'Sir., Jane Grande's lawyer was at the station. She filed charges, serious ones."

I laughed at first. 'She is joking, right?"But no one laughed with me and I tried to call Jane and it was straight to voicemail and I tried again, but it was blocked now.

I rushed out of the office and drove to her company building but the guard at the gate stopped me.

'Ms. Grande placed a legal restraining order this morning. You are not allowed inside."

My hands tightened around the wheel. I called Emily, but her number was disconnected.

I called my lawyer and told him everything and he was quiet for a while.

'If this leaks, you will be finished," he said. 'Publicly privately. This is bigger than you think."

I slammed my hand on the desk. 'She wanted me! she flirted, she laughed. She enjoyed it!"

'That's not what matters now," he said calmly. 'What matters is how it looks."

I thought about the night again and about her skin, and Her smile. How sweet she was and how long I chased her. How good it felt to finally have her.

I didn't regret it. Not even for a second.

But I realized something else, she was fighting back.

That changed everything.

I paced the floor and started planning.

'If she wants war, I will give her one.

I will destroy her, her name, her reputation and her power.

No one walked away from me and won.

Jane's POV

I sat at the edge of my bed, the lawsuit papers opened before me and my hands trembled as I held the pen.

Ava was on speakerphone.

'You are sure?" she asked softly.

'Yes."

I signed the papers and my hand shook but my voice was steady.

'He doesn't get to win."
