Hades' POV
The feat that used to make Jane thrive had been a lot of competition to me. I had watched her multiple times just to get the strategy, but it was all to no avail.
Earlier, I met with the marketing team and planning team… We developed an idea from scratch which was very certain would work effectively.
The strategy would need a lot of funding, and when I checked the proceedings from the company… it won't do the trick.
So, I reached out to the C and H corporations for help. After I tabled the strategy to them, they told me they would get back to me.
Today would be my second time meeting with the C and H company, and they were ready to invest in the strategy.
'What's the condition attached?" I asked Tom.
Tom had a smile wrapped all over his face while tension held me by the chest.
Tom reached out for a file, and he removed a document from it. He handed the document over to my secretary.
My secretary took it and presented it to me.
'In that paper are all the conditions the company wanted." Tom said boldly.
I lowered my gaze and focused on the piece of paper before me. I carefully skimmed through each sentence.
The condition was looking very good until I reached the last line of the piece of paper. My eyes enlarged, and it almost popped out from its eye socket.
'What? A whopping eighty per cent goes to your company?! That's outrageous." My eyes gleamed thin, and I spoke with a fierce voice.
Tom shot a deadly glare at me. 'The CEO emphasised that they would invest sixty per cent of money into the strategy. He is entitled to the percentage amount he demanded for." Tom detailed further.
My face shrank, and I was angry about that. C and H company wasted my time the whole time. If I had known it would come to this, I wouldn't have waited for their company anyway.
'That's bullshit. This condition is wild, and I won't agree to it." I tossed the paper back at him fiercely.
'I am sorry that we can't come to an agreement, Mr Hades. My work is done here, and I would like to take my leave. If the company change their mind, they will reach out to you." He explained, and he stood on his feet.
I hissed in anger. Without waiting any further, I walked out of the meeting room to my office. ‘The C and H company are a bunch of idiots.' I grumbled within myself and slammed my hand on the table aggressively.
To think that I have trusted the C and H company to be an investor got me heartbroken. I wished I never trusted them.
There was a loud knock on my door. I raised my eyes and fixed my gaze on the door until it made a noise.
My secretary walked into my office elegantly.
'What is it?" My voice was harsh, and I looked at her eyes.
'I am sorry to disturb you. I know you are angry with the C and H company, but I have a company that I think will invest in this strategy." She explained slowly.
I was taken aback by her statement. I thought she was useless, but telling me that was starting to erase the idea.
'A company?! Which company is that?" I asked her with a curious glare.
'RK company". My secretary indicated.
I shot a deadly glare at her, and I hissed. 'RK company? My major competition… Are you daft?" I yelled at her angrily. Her folly pissed me off…
'I am not talking about the one in this country. RK Global Ventures is located in the southern Arab regions." She explained in a more detailed tone.
'Oh…" my eyes were opened by her words. And I realised I reacted too early.
The Rk Global Ventures is the biggest thriving business in the Arabian country. They have successfully secured the first place in the world market.
In reality, they will help me if I ask. 'But how do I get to meet up with them?" I asked my secretary who was very mad at me.
'My brother works in the company. I can easily connect both of you." My secretary explained in a harsh and dismissive tone.
'Okay. Give me the number of your brother." I said.
And she shot a deadly glare at me. 'I am sorry. But I won't." She replied sharply. Her eyes dissolved in pain.
I grunted with displeasure. 'Okay, I am sorry about earlier. Can I get it now?" I asked her.
But she scoffed. 'I don't need an apology. I need a written statement that you will not sack me. It must contain your passport photograph and your signature." She detailed what she wanted.
My eyes gleaned thin, and I was taken aback with surprise. I never thought she would go to this extent just to secure her place in my company.
'You must be joking right now." I spoke with disbelief. But she maintained a straight face.
'If you need my brother's number, you will know where to meet me. I don't want a phone call." My secretary stood her ground, and before I could flinch …. She walked out of my office.
I slammed my hand against my head softly. Because her reaction was all my fault. I flashed back to how I spoke without letting her conclude on whatever was on her mind.
She doesn't deserve that, actually. At the same time, giving her an approved note that she won't be sacked…. ‘I don't think that would be possible.' She would only use that as an excuse to be lazier.
‘Would I even be able to control her?' I can't go with that option. But I needed the connection.
‘How do I go about it?' It was hard for me to conclude anything. But my phone beeped, and it distracted me from my thoughts. It was another message from Jane.
‘What's this all about? She keeps sending messages, but she won't answer my call?' I was furious.
