Hade's POV

My bodyguards stood beside me rigidly as Jane slammed the door in my face. My eyes winked slowly, and I looked at the faces of the bodyguards beside me.


They concentrated on their job and were not bothered with what Jane did to me. I licked my lower lip and puffed out some breath while I felt embarrassed.

‘Jane has got to be kidding…' I sucked my tongue and decided to take my leave.

'Pack the gift boxes in the car!" I spoke with an imposing aura. My voice was harsh while I adjusted my shirt.


'Yes, sir." The bodyguards replied to me, and they carried all the boxes. I turned and stared deeply into the air.

‘This is just the beginning, Jane.' I echoed within myself and was not ready to give up. Because there was something about Jane that I can't let go of.


I walked briskly to my car, and I sat down. My driver started the car engine while my bodyguard took the other car they had followed me with.

In the car, I was relaxing on the chair when my phone started ringing. I glanced at the screen of my phone to see if it was an important call.

To my surprise, it was a call from Mr Benny, the CEO of Heaven's cooperation. 'Hello." I answered my phone.

'Hello, Mr Hades. Have you been able to get in contact with Miss Jane as we discussed in our previous meeting?" Benny asked in a simple but hopeful tone.

'Miss Jane is more difficult than I thought. You've to give more time." I spoke with a soft demeanour.

'I thought you said it would be way easier to get close to her since both of you were on good terms." Benny's face shrank as he sought to get an answer from his confusion.

I grunted with displeasure. 'Mr Benny, women are pretty difficult to understand. Why don't you calm your nerves and let me do my work as required?" I arched my right eyebrow.

'Okay. It's alright. Just be fast with whatever you are doing." Benny spoke with disappointment in his tone before he finally ended the call.

‘Gosh!' I echoed with dissatisfaction. ‘If it was that easy, he should have done it by himself.' I toned down my voice even though it was a mumble.

Mr Benny, the CEO of Heaven's cooperation, was actually losing his company to bankruptcy. Benny in the past had some issues with Jane, and going to meet her directly for help looked unpalatable. He needed Hades to help him penetrate Jane.

The car finally came to a halt in front of my company. I stepped down from the car, and I walked slowly into the building.

'Welcome, sir." My company errand boy, Mark, rushed up to meet me. I call him the trash of the company because he had no important use other than to help me carry any luggage in my hand.

'I have no baggage in my hand today. Come some other time." I spoke with pride, and my gaze all over his body was highly condescending. The reason he was so virtuous at his work was that each piece of baggage he collects from me has its price tag.

For a whole month, if he doesn't get to collect my baggage from me. It means he won't be paid.

'Okay, sir." He walked away with his unattractive clothing. I do not care about his personal life, and I just walked to my office.

After a few minutes, I pressed the office bell to call my secretary. It took only a few minutes before my secretary finally arrived. My eyes trailed through her well-ironed clothes and her natural long hair.

'Why didn't you immediately walk into my office?" I shot a deadly glare at her because I've warned her about this over and over again.

'I am sorry, sir. I wasn't aware you were in the office." She apologised.

But I was pissed. Because she apologises every blessed day and never changes.

'I don't need your damn apology. Do something right, just for once." I shrank my face while I lashed her fiercely.

She lowered her head. 'I am sorry." She apologised again.

I hissed inaudibly… ‘The hell!' I muttered in a low tone. She pisses me off all the time. Sometimes I wonder why I didn't name her Trash instead of Mark. At this point, Mark was way better than her.

'What do I have for the day?" I lowered my tone and refocused my attention on the files on my table when I asked that question.

My secretary blinked her eyes…

‘Oh no! Not again!' I echoed in frustration because I knew that look on her face.

'Don't tell me you forgot my schedule list in your office again?" I spoke with frustration in my tone.

My secretary swallowed the saliva in her mouth as tension entered the atmosphere. 'I am sorry. But that was what happened." She apologised and approved my suspicion.

'What the fuck? You've got to be kidding me. I will have to reconsider your employment with your behaviour." My voice throbbed with intensity.

'I am sorry, sir. Let me go get it." My secretary rushed out of my presence.

I heaved out a heavy breath and wiggled my head in disappointment. ‘I wonder where Jane got her strength from. Why is she different?' A mix of confusion was on my face, and I could get myself an answer.

My secretary rushed back into my office. 'You have a meeting with the C and H group of companies." She expressed it with intense breathing and lots of vibrations.

'Do you think you can work with me?" I asked her. Because of this energy I was getting from her, I didn't quite understand it.

'Of course." She replied in a snap, and I gazed directly into her eyes….

'You've been saying this for some time now, and I don't know what to believe anymore. Your actions are absurd." My voice throbbed harshly.

She sighed. 'I am sorry for disappointing you, sir. But I promise to make you proud." She said with a frank voice.

And I glanced at her from head to toe. 'You are a very pretty lady, and I don't understand the reason you are not composed. What's the problem?"
