Jane's POV
We arrived at O2 port 12 after a long drive. My heart accelerated against my chest slowly when I stepped down from my car. My eyes gently rolled, getting a concise view of the environment that I was in.
In front of me was a big restaurant named 02 Port… I walked into the restaurant. My eyes got a glimpse of how luxurious the restaurant was.
The table was made of pure glass and the chairs were classic. The design was stunning and my heartbeat chirped slowly as I walked up to a empty space.
The restaurant had customers seated while they munch on the food before them. I sat in an empty space and I waited for General Gaza to arrive
‘Is this restaurant meant for only couples?' I thought in my head while I gazed at each chair and it was only couples seated throughout.
I checked my time and wondered when General Gaza was going to arrive. And as I gave that a thought, General Gaza's feet hit the restaurant.
My eyes squirmed and defended in his body. He walked in like a commoner even though his clothes were hinting at luxury. He scanned through the restaurant with his eyes until he spotted me where I was seated.
He stepped elegantly forward and as he moved, someone had his leg stuck outside his table. Eager General Gaze hit his leg and almost tripped.
'Why won't you watch where you are going?" The civilian spoke in such a manner.
But General Gaza was a nice man. He didn't respond and he just walked to sit down before me.
'I am sorry for that." I spoke with a saggy countenance.
But he half-smiled. 'It's nothing. Let us get to why we are here." He said and extended the document he had on his hand forward.
'I believe you've watched that video." He indicated, arching his left eyebrows.
I nodded my head positively. 'Yes and it was horrible." I replied to him.
'Check those images and see who your cousin did business with." He said and that curiosity held my heart.
I quickly opened the document and I started checking. The first image I saw, my jaw dropped and my eyes widened with an undeniable shock.
‘How did Ray come in contact with these people?" I finally asked after checking through it all.
'I don't know either. But he made connections with the deadliest gang and it is certain they are the ones that killed him when they realized he was arrested just to protect their secret. So, what do you intend to do?" He asked me after explaining in detail.
'Since you already found out their hideouts. I want them to face justice." I explained.
'I will call my tactical team for an attack tonight. We are going to arrest whoever makes it alive." He explained furthermore.
'Thank you." I appreciated him.
'But I will advise you to let us kill them all. If one gets to the police station, he will be a big threat to you." He explained based on the previous experience he had.
But what I wanted was far different from his opinion. I want their leader to suffer in prison before getting killed. 'I want their leader to at least suffer just to pay a heavy price for killing my cousin." I spoke with desperation and vengeance.
'Okay. But be aware that he might as well escape from prison." After those words from him, I wasn't moved one bit.
'There is no problem. Just do it, please." After I pleaded with him. He could see the desperation in my eyes.
'Okay." He agreed with me.
A gentle footsteps from the waiter was audible and both of us turned to face him at once.
'Let me see your menu." General Gaza expressed with a simple tone.
'Okay, sir." As he responded, he extended the menu. He collected it and selected the food he wanted to go with.
'Take." He extended the menu to me. I collected it and checked what I would eat.
'Just give me salad." I expressed this while I returned the menu to him. He collected it respectfully and he left our presence.
I was silent just as I stared at the table. 'So, tell me about your company? My sister said you've been pulling a lot of great feats." He seemed very interested in my company.
'My company….I don't really have much to say about it. But it's a promising company and we are going to a greater height." I replied to him.
'You are such a humble person. I had expected that you were going to brag about it." He shot a glare at my face.
'I don't need to. My company will brag by itself." After my response, I silently watched the moment and it only took after many minutes before the silence was disturbed by the waiter.
'These are your food." He laid them on the table before us. Right there, I ate the salad I was given slowly and after eating, Gaza paid for the food. Both of us stepped out of the restaurant.
'Miss Jane, tonight will be hot. Pray for me and my team." I spoke softly and moved forward slowly.
I got to the car and the stare in my driver's eyes was overwhelming. 'Is there anything wrong?" I asked him.
'There is nothing, ma'am. Just that the man is handsome." My driver remarked and I was taken aback by his statement.
I think he thought I was seeing the man. 'Don't think too far. He is just a business partner like others." After saying that to him, I sat down in the already opened car.
I returned home that day. Instead that I should go inside the house, I sat outside to reminisce about what was going to happen tonight and how that was going to bring justice.
I remained there until it was dusk. My phone started ringing aloud and when I checked, the call was from General Gaza.
'General Gaza." My heart echoed after it was distracted from the long thought. I gazed around only to realize that it was dark already.
I picked up the call. 'Hello." My voice lit with tension while I waited earnestly for his golden reply.
'Hello, we are charging now." He informed me.
'Okay." I ended the call with the tension that made me gasp for air. My heat kept racing hard against my chest while I prayed earnestly for the mission to be successful.
For the first time in my life I was very scared.
'Ma'am. You need to go inside." The voice of the driver peered into my ear and that called my attention.
'What do you want?" I asked him with a sharp glare even though it was dark.
'I am sorry to bother you, but it's very dark and I think you should go inside." He emphasized with concern on his face.
'I would like to remain here and you are welcomed to join me if you wish." I said and continued to stare at the sky hoping to receive their call very soon.
My driver sat beside me and the both of us stared at the stars. 'I loved stars when I was younger." He informed, dispelling the silence with that information.
'The stars are beautiful and I love to watch them to calm my mind." I spoke softly while we continued to stare at it.
'Do you think your company could stand alone before now?" He asked that question.
I grunted inaudibly because it was an intelligent question. 'No." I replied sharply.
That response took him aback. He lowered his gaze at the stars and he stared at me instead.
'But why did you take the risk?" He was curious and his tone was desperate as if he had a plan.
'I was just fed up with my father's manipulative scept that I didn't think of anything else other than to give myself freedom." I explained to him.
'Let us say that the success you are seeing now is solely from God." He made a conclusion.
*You are right about that. The future supported me." After my response, both of us went silent. I puffed out some breath from my mouth while I continued to view the structure of the stars.
As the night deepens, it starts getting freezing. But I do not care at the moment I am. Even if I froze to death it doesn't matter at all.
'Ma'am, What's wrong? This is unlike you." My driver asked a question. His eyes were fixed on the stars.
'I am not willing to discuss it. Just focus on the stars." After my words, we were silent for a while before my phone started ringing.
My heart raced against my chest when I thought it was General Gaza. I held my phone and quickly checked only to see it wasn't him.
‘Francis?! Why is he calling?' My head was blank and I couldn't place the reason he is calling me.
