Jane's POV

My palm clenched into a fist and I grinded my teeth beholding what Francis sent in as a message. ‘He sure knows how to get on my nerves… pathetic.'

While being angered by that message, I laid my phone aside. My eyes fixed on the gift box in front of me. Inside the box were wads of dollars and my eyes suddenly caught a sight of a paper.

I put my hand inside the box and removed the paper he attached with the wads of dollars. I opened the paper to read…

‘This box contains fifty million dollars in cash. Thank you for severing your bond with Grande's company and humiliating Hades publicly. I hope this is the beginning of a long term relationship and cheers to more of our business deals. Best regards, Jane the saint.' After reading through, I raised my head and squeezed the paper between my palms.

Francis hated Hades and Grande's cooperation because the company was a big threat to his illegal trade. He had wanted me to humiliate Hades just to teach him a lesson and cut ties with Grande so that he can easily take the company off the chart.

Francis didn't know that what happened was actually a coincidence with his demands. He thought the illegal trade that I once abhor was what I have approved as those were his criteria.

‘I can't accept this gift.' I muttered underneath my breath and raised my head to look at my secretary who was consciously watching my reaction to what was before me.

'Is there a problem?" She asked with suspicion on her face.

'I can't accept this gift. I will package it and you must send it back to Mr Francis, because this gift is from him. Write a note expressing that he misunderstood every of my actions. Let him know that I am not in agreement with any of his trade." I detailed her understanding and also had Francis' illegal trade coded.

'Okay, I will do just that." She replied to me and left my presence.

I grunted silently, relaxing on the chair I sat on. ‘I hope he gets my message very soon.' Mumbling within me, my phone beeped and when i checked, I saw i had a meeting with the Grande Cooperation.

I stood on my feet and walked to the meeting room. My father, Mr Grande and his secretary were seated while his eyes ran across my body fiercely.

I wasn't scared to behold or face him. I sat down and the meeting started.

'Good morning. We have cut ties with Grande's cooperation and I do not expect to see you in my company. What do you want?" My face gleaned cold while I asked that question.

'There should be a proper meeting between Grande Cooperation and your company before a decision can be taken. My company has been a reputable part of your company and shouldn't be tossed out just like that." He spoke politely.

'What do you want me to do? I have sent back all the investments from your company and you do not have a share in my company anymore." I spoke frankly, gazing at my father's face.

Grande cleared his throat. 'I want my company to be merged again with yours. This won't only help your company soar higher. It will also be of great help to my company." He explained. Trying his best for me to reason with him.

'I am sorry, that won't be possible. You should have appealed this decision earlier, maybe I would have changed my mind. Thanks for your time anyway. I declare this meeting closed." I said, standing up and taking my leave from his presence without considering who he was to me.

Grande grunted with displeasure. Regret was obvious on his face and he hoped things would have gone just like he wished.

I returned back to my office and heaved out a heavy breath. Remembering the appealing facial gaze of my father. I thought he said I wouldn't succeed without his company and now that he saw I was excelling, he was eager to reinstate himself which would be solely impossible.

I rose to my feet and stepped out of the company. I walked outside only to see my driver performing a routine on the car.

'What's wrong with the car?" I asked abruptly. He wasn't expecting my presence and he was shocked even to his bones at my voice.

'Why aren't you aware of your environment? I warned you about getting out of mind." I spoke with a cold voice.

He trembled and tried to get back his stance. 'I am sorry. I was just engrossed in what I was doing. Are you going out?" I asked him.

'Yes, I am. And is the car in good condition?" I asked him.

'Yes." He replied almost immediately.

'Good. I am going to a restaurant." I said.

He closed the bonnet of the car and he opened the door for me to step my feet inside the car.

I relaxed behind the car while the engine started. He drove me to the restaurant in just a few minutes.

Getting to the restaurant, I ordered what I wanted and as I sat back to eat. I flashed back to what happened in the company yesterday.

The intruder that had walked into the company. ‘Gosh. I didn't check if he took anything.' I felt very bad for forgetting that huge amount of information.

I finished up with food in front of me and paid my bills really quickly. I walked elegantly out of the restaurant.

'Miss Jane! Miss Jane!" I heard a loud feminine voice calling onto me as I walked to my car. I halted and looked back just to see who was desperately calling my name.

I wasn't familiar with that face and I wondered how she knew who I was. 'Good morning, I always follow up with news about your company and I am your biggest fan. Can you sign this autograph?" She asked with excitement in her voice.

I grunted silently, 'Sure."
