Aadiv POV

The next morning, I woke up with a smile on my face. I immediately took my mobile and sent a message to her. I went to get freshen up and when I came back, I saw a reply from her.


"I know it Aadi and don't worry, good morning to you and enjoy the day with a smile"

It was her reply which made me smile because she called me Aadi for the first time. I went down smilingly and saw the whole room decorated with marigold flowers. Then I was made to sit in the arrangement with a small kid with me who is acting as THODI PELLIKODUKU. It was made the groom by applying turmeric paste on me. Then they cleaned it with water.

After the function is completed we the whole fab 5 settled in my room. We are talking with each other when the Vihan voice gave me a mini heart attack.


"So, let's talk with the bride now" this was his dialogue and even before I react he took my mobile and called Aru.

"What is Aru named saved as??" He was searching for the number, but he didn't find it


"Vihan why to search I will tell her number and it is **" Eshana spoke and gave Aru number to him and he called Aru Immediately.

He saw the name and gave me an evil smirk to which I least effected. I was about to snatch the mobile but Mehul stopped me from doing so.

"Mehul leave me and Vihan cut the call" I spoke but both the words went into deaf ears when they both didn't listen to me. He tried again and it was a fail attempt again. He gave me a look and his expressions changed in a second when my phone vibrates with her name I.e. FUTURE.

he immediately picked the call and I heard her voice asking what happened. I was about to speak but Mehul covered my mouth with his hand. Vihan didn't speak anything and she spoke again and her voice was having so much concern. I want to talk to her, so I gave a look to Mehul, but he didn't leave his hand.

She spoke again and now her voice said that she was about to cry so I punched Mehul slightly on his stomach to which he removed his hand and I took the mobile immediately and spoke to her that I will talk later.

I turned towards them and gave them a glare

"Do you have any idea what you did idiots she was about to cry and you Eshana you being her friend did this" I spoke angrily while they all had a sorry expression and left the room after saying sorry to me. Vihan was left there and I gave him a glare to which he smiled.

"Aadiv you have changed now I understood that Aria is very important to you as you have a special place in your heart for her which is more special than you have for fab 5" he spoke and gave me a tap on my shoulder and went away. I smiled listening to his words because indeed she is very special to me.

The day went in a hurry with all the preparations as tomorrow is our marriage. I was so much happy and at night fab 4 called me for a bachelor party to which I denied as I don't want to go. They also didn't force me as they know if I say no it means a no.

I took my mobile and thought of calling Aru, but I thought maybe she is tired, so I messaged her

"Good night Aru sleep well and just 24 hrs. after that u will be mine forever waiting for tomorrow"

I smiled seeing the message I sent her and then freshen, came and slept even without looking at my mobile as I was tired due to all preparations.

I woke up when I felt my mobile was buzzing. I saw it was a call from Aria. I received the call and heard her concerned voice.

"Aadiv you are fine??" She asked at first, I was confused but then I realized that I didn't talk with her yesterday and the only time I talked with her was the time when fab 4 had a prank on me.

"Sorry Aru I am fine completely and don't worry yesterday fab 4 played a prank on me and I was tired so messaged u and slept" I spoke and felt her taking a deep breath

"Thank God and don't repeat this Manu" she spoke, and I smiled my heart full listening to her as she called me Manu with her mouth for the first time.

"No, I won't have a chance to ignore your message from tomorrow" I spoke to her with a smile on my face.

"May I know why??" She asked me to which I had a naughty grin

"Because from tomorrow you will be with me and then how will I get a chance to ignore your message when you will be beside me" I spoke and I know she would blush now and I was proved correct when I heard her voice

"Aadiv mom is calling me to have to get a ready bye to see you in the evening" she spoke, and I can feel her blush. I smiled and said bye to her and we disconnected the call.

I went down in my regular wear but my mother gave me a stern look.

"What??" I asked her to which she gave me a look and went inside and bought cloth and gave me and I asked her what with my eyes

"Wear this and take your father with you for help" she spoke and went away, and I opened the cloth and was shocked as it was only a Pancha I.e. lungi and no shirt.

I searched for dad and went near him and showed him that cloth to which he smiled at me

"Come with me" he spoke and took me to my room and helped me with it. I must say it is very uncomfortable. I understood y girls always feel uncomfortable to carry traditional clothes like sarees.

We both went down and then I was made to sit on a stool with many buckets of water around me. I asked my mother about the ritual and she explained it with me, and this ritual is called Mangala Sanam.

It's done on D-day, and it begins with a Mangala Snaanam at the bride's and groom's houses separately, and it translates as ‘auspicious bath.' This bath is essential before any of the other rituals can be performed.

They took paste of turmeric and oil and applied the whole in my body. First, my bua applied it to me and then all the people came and applied it on me and the point to be noted is I am sitting shirtless in front of all the aunties and only aunties as it was the ritual which girls are only allowed to perform.

Then even my friends applied the paste on me then my bua came and poured a bucket of water on me. Then all came and poured water on me. when Vihan chance came he took the bucket and poured the water forcefully on me which made me move a bit from my place. We all enjoyed it and then I was sent to change my clothes and I was dressed traditionally in a sherwani and came down. They came and tied a thread on my forehead. It was called as basikam. The main reason for this thread is protection from evil eyes. The place where they tie is the place where three nerves meet on the forehead. The joining of these nerves is in the form of a half-moon. So, most of the basikam are made with half-moon shape on the square part of it.

After that one by one, all blessed me with akshintalu I.e. rice mixed in turmeric powder. My bua came again and took a plate in her hand and did arati for me and this is called Mangala arati.

Finally, after all the blessing section is over, I was told to wait till evening as we will go to the venue then only. I made a way to my room and took my mobile then and called Aria.
