Aria POV

My life took a sudden change when Aadiv entered my life and that change is the change that I am loving a lot. There is only one week left for our wedding and I was excited and even sad as I will leave my family and go to start a new life with him.


I don't know what to say about the feelings I have for Aadiv, I feel happy when I am near him and I feel complete around him and the care he has for everyone will always make me feels special.

Today is the ritual called PANDIRI RATA which is generally done before we start the shopping or functions of the marriage which means it was the first ritual of the marriage. This ceremony plays every important role as it was the first and most important step in marriage.

I was getting ready in my room when Parv came inside my room along with my idiot.


"Bhai don't you think that Aria was looking like a girl nowadays" came idiot's voice to irritate me more

"Bhai don't you think that Atharv will be dead today," I asked thinking about Priya matter


"Why is it so madam???" He asked me while I gave him a smirk and spoke confidently.

"Because you didn't talk with Priya regarding the matter still" I spoke with a pride look but it was spoiled when I heard laughing sound from Atharv making me shock to the core.

"Seriously Aria do you think we didn't solve it, you are such an idiot it was solved the next moment I went outside your room so stop those idiotic dialogues near me" he spoke while I was shocked how can she forgive him so easily.

"How???" I asked while he became serious for a second

"Aru when you fall in love you will understand that whatever may happen you can't stay angry with the people you love for more time" he spoke making me and Bhai smile. We talked for some more time then later I heard mom calling both my brothers as the guests started to arrive.

I too came down later and saw amma and nanna performing Ganesh Pooja and it was the start of the ritual. They did Pooja for some time. Later even I was also asked to sit in the Pooja along with them. We three performed the Pooja, we are asked to do many things like priest tied a thread to my hand and my father poured some milk on it making it more sacred. This thread symbolizes that I am the bride and it also shows the well-being of my future family. This thread should not be removed till the wedding is over. Later the Pooja was completed and we three were blessed by all the guests there

After the blessing's session, we went outside the house where a hole was made in the ground. We three stood there and then amma and nanna added some ingredients like tamarind, rice and even added milk in it. Later they kept a stick in it and planted it inside the soil they built with all these ingredients. This is called RATA as it is very nutritional and promotes the growth of plants. So, they added a plum plant in it as it symbolizes that the married life of the couple should also be like this only i.e. a new life was germinating in their lives and it should be filled with all the happy moments. This was done on both sides of our house entrance.

When it is completed, priests came near me and my parents blessed us along with all the people again. The priest left after blessing us. Now it was the time to construct the PANDIRI for marriage which shows to the world that the house is going to have its happy moments and you are welcomed wholeheartedly for sharing these happy moments.

They constructed a roof with help of bamboo sticks and the roof was covered with mango leaves to protect the house from all the evil eyes falling on the house to ruin their happy moments. The main role in this PANDIRI RATA is played by the parents of the bride or groom as they must plant the rata for the first time.

This brings the end of the PANDIRI RATA which ended well without the idiotic dialogues of my brother. You may be confused that how I know this much about Telugu marriage. It's because I already told you that I attended a wedding and I participated in every ritual. Guests were leaving as we arranged for their stay in a nearby farmhouse.

Now only my family was left when entered my Bhai along with Bhabhi and my Rockstar I.e. Rahul.

"Finally, you all got the time to attend the function" I spoke while pouting to them to which they smiled at me

"No, we would have come before only but there was a surprise for you so got late" they spoke in unison making me confused what are they speaking.

"What is it Bhai," I asked him, but he didn't speak anything and went outside but when he entered there is a couple with him. I remembered that aunty as the one who explained to me all the rituals when I was in Andhra Pradesh but what is she doing here and how does Bhai know about her.

"How are you, aunty??" I spoke to her while hugging her to which she too responded happily.

"I am fine" she spoke to me lovingly make me smile at her love and care for me. I turned to introduce her to my family members and when I turned, I saw my dad looking at the aunty shocked making me confused

"Akka (sister)" I heard my father calling the aunty

"What is this Vishu you kept your daughter marriage and didn't wait for my arrival you did PANDIRI RATA also and when I came you are not even hugging me go I won't talk to you" I heard aunt sorry my attaya say to my father and in the next second I found nanna in attaya arms making me smile at both of them.

They broke the hug and attaya went to my mother and even they hugged each other. I was very close to my attaya due to the camp which made me meet her, but I didn't know at that time that she was my attaya.

Mom and Dad said us about their story that when they came to Mumbai, they used to be in touch with attaya as she is the only one in my parent's families who agreed for their marriage. I so wished to have attaya because in the rituals of the marriage attaya has the major role as many things are done to the bride by her only.

We all chatted for some time and we left for our rooms to take rest and that's when I realized I left my phone in the room itself. I took it in my hands to see any notifications and saw there were 5 missed calls from the person with whom I what to talk right now. Yes, you all guessed it right it was Aadiv.

He always tries to share his views with me, and I observed the most important thing is he values all the relations in his life and mostly he can do anything for a person if he considers that person as his. My thoughts were disturbed as I felt my phone vibrating in my hand showing the caller ID as Aadiv. I smiled seeing the smiles and received his call

"Hello, Aru why are you not answering the calls are you fine??" Came his worried voice even before I spoke a word making me smile even brighter as he cares for me to full. I think he didn't realize that he called me Aru for the first time. They say in anger or frustrated or tense conditions we call the person with the name which we have in our mind for them.

"Aria are you listening to me or not" my thoughts were broken by his voice again.

"Yes, Aadiv I am here only and stop cribbing like a kid I didn't pick your calls because the phone is in the room and I was down with the ritual" I spoke and I knew he must be smiling to my comment him being a kid.

"I am not a kid" he spoke defensively but I laughed out loud listening to his cute voice now. I just want to see his face now as he must be pouting like a kid now making a super-duper cute face.

"Aadiv say this to another person, not to me and now tell me did you enjoy the ritual," I asked him to divert his mind. I got succeeded in it

"Aria you know what I loved the ritual mainly mom and dad attire I am seeing them like this for the first time and I must say they were awesome and coming to the ritual I just loved it was awesome thanks for this Aria" he spoke excitedly thanking me but little did he knew that I should be the one thanking him as he was the one who made all agree for my wish.

"Aadiv I think I should say thanks to you" I spoke, I heard his chuckle making me confused as what is there to giggle now

"Aadiv why are you laughing," I asked him, but I didn't hear any reply from him for one minute

"Aria what was your attire today," he asked suddenly making me confused

"Half saree" I spoke to him still in a confused state and suddenly, the call was disconnected what the hell was happening why did he cut the call. I redialed again but again it was disconnected, and I was thinking about it when there was a call in FaceTime from him which I received happily.

"Aadiv why did you cut the call??" I asked him as soon as I received the call from him to which I saw that he was looking at me very intensely making me blush

"Beautiful" was all he spoke making me blush again

"Aadiv" was all I spoke in between my blushing which made him realize our position

"I want to meet you" he spoke suddenly making me a shock as there were many people in the house and if he comes now, I will die

"Aadiv no we will meet tomorrow in the shopping mall," I said as a matter of fact as we will meet tomorrow for our attires shopping

"No, I want to see you in this half saree" he spoke stubbornly

"Aadiv don't" I spoke maybe he will listen now I didn't know why he was so stubborn now

"Aria don't change the dress and I will see you by evening" he spoke, and I smiled at him but even terrified

"Aadiv what if anyone sees" I spoke to him maybe he will convince now

"Aria don't worry about that and be ready to meet me" he spoke and gave me a wink which is his famous style before disconnecting the call.

I looked towards the roof of my room and spoke to myself, oh god why he must be so stubborn please save me god today don't know how I will handle this idiot please be with me today so that nobody sees us

I spoke to God and went down to all others.
