-Seven months later-

"No… I can't… it hurts"


Lucien's heart ached as he looked at Arabella who was on the bed while screaming. He didn't know what to do, it's been a month since she started to stay in bed without going anywhere. She cannot walk and she cannot do anything alone. Watching Arabella's face for a while, Lucien sighed and rubbed his forehead not knowing what to do to help her. He can't do anything and he cannot take the pain from her.

Rowan should be the one who can take her pain. But he's not here for Arabella and that's why she was in pain like this. Staring at her huge belly, Lucien clenched his jaws helplessly. He wanted some times to go and fucking find Rowan because he would be the only one to help Arabella. Without him, no one can do anything for her.

"Lucien…. Can you.. Give me water?" Arabella asked suddenly, nodding at her immediately Lucien ran out of the room and took a glass of water for her. Then he came into the room. Helping Arabella to sit up on the bed, he let her drink the water. As he did that, She drank the whole glass and looked at him with a smile. She looked pale, her eyes were red and her lips were dry. Lucien smiled back at her forcefully and slowly helped her to lay on the bed again.


"How's Liliyah?" Arabella asked him.

Then he sighed and smiled at her. Caressing her sweat filled forehead, Lucien waited for a while looking at her. Is she still asking how Liliyah was while she was not in a good state? He thought about looking at her. Arabella was always kind and innocent so it was no wonder for her to ask about Liliyah like that.


"Everything is good. Tyler is with her. You should rest now Bella. Tomorrow is the date. You should be strong" he said, looking at her. Hearing him, Arabella nodded at him and smiled. But Lucien could clearly see the loneliness and pain of hers. He knew she was thinking about one man and it was Rowan. In her heart, Rowan was the only man. Lucien didn't have the place in her heart anymore.

But he was not angry or he was not forcing her to be with him. He just simply helped her with everything, he didn't want her to be in pain so he always stayed there for her even if he knew that he would not be able to rake Rowan's place and give the comfort that Arabella was looking to have from Rowan. Watching her for a while, Lucien sighed and looked around the room. Then he looked at Arabella.

"Sleep now. Call me if you need anything." he said. Arabella nodded at him and closed her eyes to sleep. After she closed her eyes, Lucien walked out of the room and then walked out the house. Arabella was staying in Rowan's house and no matter how he and his mother asked her to come to them, she didn't come because she wanted to stay here because this was the place she stayed together with Rowan.

Walking out of the house, he stepped towards the forest. He walked through the forest thinking about everything that happened. Did he ever expect or think that the girl he loved would give birth to another man's child? He never thought, he just simply didn't even imagine something like that. Just because of Milena's spell, he forgot about his and Arabella's past but now he remembered everything.

He remembered the way he and Arabella used to walk through this forest and spend time with each other. Arriving at the river, Lucien looked at the familiar rock. His heart ached and his eyes turned red. He stepped towards the rock and slowly sat on it. Then he stared at the calm and beautiful river as his mind was suppressed by so many thoughts and so many beautiful memories.

He used to come here with Arabella and spend time. He remembered the way she smiled at him every time he looked into her eyes. She looked so fucking gorgeous and she was so happy with him. She didn't let go of his hand once she caught it. Tears filled in his eyes as he remembered everything. The situation was complicated. She was still here and still there but the thing is that she was not looking at him in the same way she used to look.

She was looking at him as if he was only a friend to her. But that was the truth, to her, he's only a friend and nothing more. After hurting her for so long without a hit of gentleness, Lucien cannot expect her to love him still. He was the one who caused all the things and he was the one who pushed her away from his life. And now, there is no going back and she would not come to him anymore.

She's going to become a mother tomorrow. And the father of the child was not him. It was Rowan. Lucien remembered that Rowan always came after Arabella, he liked Arabella since the first day he laid his eyes on her. In the forest, that day, Arabella was the one who found Rowan lying on the ground unconscious. And she was the one who took Rowan to the pack and asked everyone to help him.

So Rowan wanted nothing but Arabella. He came after Arabella everyday, with so many stupid things when he was a kid. Flowers, fruits and so many things. But Lucien didn't even let Rowan come closer to Arabella as he always chased Rowan away. As he always did, Rowan started to stay away from Arabella but yet Rowan watched her with a smile on his face every time he saw her.

Rowan's love for Arabella was fucking pure and never changed. Rowan got rejected by his mate because he told his mate that he has someone he likes. Lucien still can't understand how strong Rowan's feelings for Arabella are because he even gave up on his mate. Thinking about everything, Lucien felt that Rowan was the man who deserved Arabella. His feelings never changed and he always had one woman in his heart and it was Arabella.

So even if it took so many years, Rowan got what he deserved and he got Arabella as she also fell in love with him. But it was such a pity that Rowan failed to be with her for so long. But Lucien hoped that Rowan would come back alive no matter how many years passed. It's already been seven months and no one knew what Rowan was doing and how he was but Lucien knew with the strength Rowan had, he would not give up or die easily.

Lucien took a deep breath and stopped his thoughts coming into his mind. Then he got up from the rock and looked up at the sky. It was already dark. He didn't even realize the change of nature because he was thinking about so many things. Taking a deep breath, he walked towards Rowan's house again. As he walked, suddenly he heard the sound of footsteps.

His eyes turned sharp and he looked around. Then he saw a man was walking towards the way where Rowan's house was. Clenching his jaws, Lucien followed the man without attacking at first. Then he watched the way the man stopped in front of the door of the house. Staying there for a while, he turned and looked back at Lucien. Seeing the man's face, Lucien's heart tightened and he clenched his jaws before striding towards him.

"How's her?" he asked Lucien. Watching him for a while, Lucien sighed and looked up at the house before answering the question he asked.

"She's in pain. For a month, she stayed on the bed because her legs are weak and she cannot walk" the man nodded at him and clenched his jaws.

Then he smiled at Lucien and patted his shoulder. As he patted Lucien's shoulder, Lucien didn't miss the scars on his arms.

"I can't come here… but yet I came here because she needs strength. Don't let her know that I came here. I need to leave soon. Please check if she's asleep here for me Lucien"

Looking at Rowan's worried filled face, Lucien sighed. He didn't expect Rowan to come here this suddenly after fucking seven months. But Lucien was glad because Rowan came here for her.

"I will.. Stay in" Lucien said.

Rowan nodded at him and entered the house. Lucien immediately went into the room and checked Arabella. Seeing that Arabella was in sleep, Lucien sighed and walked back as he looked at Rowan and asked him to come.

"I need to bite her on her mark, once she wakes up she will ask if I came here. Just keep saying no."

Lucien nodded at Rowan as he entered the room. Watching Rowan for a while, he closed the door and walked away from the room not wanting to wait there. Soon he heard the sound of Arabella whimpering and his heart ached. Clenching his jaws, he walked out of the house and stayed until Rowan came out after finishing what he had to do.
