Rowan stared at Arabella as she shouted at him. He could feel that she was fucking angry and upset with what he said but he was honest, he really felt the fear about his life so he didn't want to tie up Arabella with a promise. He was not a man who was selfish and he was not thinking that if he dies, Arabella should live alone for her entire life. He was not that selfish. Rowan helplessly lowered his head and clenched his jaws. He didn't know how to face this.

He had a ring with him to give her but he couldn't bring himself to give it to her before leaving, he wanted to give it to her if he ever came back alive. As he lowered his head, he felt Arabella was looking at him. Soon she walked away pushing him aside. Raising his head, he looked at Arabella who was walking away wiping her tears. Watching her, he groaned and rubbed his forehead.


"What did I do?"

He asked himself and looked up at the sky. Waiting there for a while, he looked at the earrings in his hand and then gritted his teeth before walking into the house. As he entered the room, he saw Arabella on the bed. Moving her eyes to him, she stared at him for a while before turning around back facing him.

Rowan's lips slowly curled upwards a smile and he walked towards the bed. Then taking off his shirt, he got into the bed. Turning off the lamp, he moved closer to her and simply hugged her as he pulled her to him. Hugging her, Rowan buried his face against her neck and kissed her shoulders. Arabella didn't push him away, she stayed silently without doing anything.


"Are you angry now?" he asked while kissing her, he wanted her to talk to him. He couldn't sleep knowing that she was angry and not talking to him. No matter how many hours he would have to spend, he would not fall asleep until she talked to him without any anger and upset in her. He couldn't endure when she was angry at him.

"Yes"


Arabella replied as she pinched his arm harder. Rowan chuckled and hugged her even tighter. She sounded angry and upset but yet he found it was so cute of hers. Ignoring her answer, Rowan cuddled Arabella and started to tickle her, making her giggle and laugh. He knew this would be his only trick to make her smile and make her anger go away.

"Okay.. I'm sorry. I was so stupid" he muttered looking at her.

Then she looked into his eyes and bit her lower lip before looking away from her. Rowan stopped tickling her and laid on the bed next to her. Turning his face, he looked at her. Arabella was looking out of the window in the room and she sighed.

"Bella, I'm sorry for that," he said.

Then she turned to him and stared at him. Rowan looked into her hazel eyes and smiled forcefully. Raising his hand, he slowly caressed her face making her eyes fill with tears. He didn't mean to hurt her like this, he regretted telling her what was in his mind. If he didn't say that nothing would happen like this and she would not get angry at him.

"You can't think like that Rowan! Are you telling me to be with another man if I ever lose you? Then what about this child? Isn't it unfair for him?"

Arabella's words stabbed Rowan's heart. He stared at her and clenched his jaws not knowing how to answer her question. Closing his eyes, he took a deep breath and calmed himself down before.

"I don't want you to be with another man Bella but I'm not selfish to tie you up and keep you here if I ever died. I would try my best to come back to you but I can't guarantee that. You can understand me! Which man wants his woman to be with another man Bella? It was such an impossible thing. For me, I would never want you to be with someone else instead of me but what I meant was if I couldn't come back to you and you started to have feelings for someone else, you can be with him….."

As soon as Rowan said that, Arabella raised her hand and slapped him hard across his face making his heart freeze on the spot. Her slap didn't hurt his face but his heart ached because it was the first time she slapped him. Looking at her eyes, he saw the way treats rolled down through her delicate face. Even though the lamp in the room was turned off, he could see Arabella's face thanks to the moon light.

"How can you think about me like this Rowan? Just because I was with Lucien before and then came with you and started to love you, you think that I would go to another man again if you were not with me? I will never and I will never even think about living with someone else! What's wrong with you?"

"If you ever died, I would just live like this. I have a child in my belly and I won't be so alone. I can raise him and be with him. I don't want anyone in my life ever again if I lose you. Please, don't say things like this. Don't think about my future, I would live somehow. I can raise this child alone even if you were not here."

Rowan's eyes reddened with her words, Arabella was crying and he felt that he did something wrong. He really didn't have to say something like that to her. And he never meant that to her. He didn't even think about something like that. Letting out a deep sigh, he looked at her and smiled forcefully.

"I'm sorry, I never meant to hurt you" he whispered.

Then Arabella nodded at him and moved closer to him. Burying her face against his chest, she started to sob. Rowan felt his heart was aching. He didn't want her to make her cry, all he wanted to do was just make her happy and smile. But things went wrong.

"You should give me a ring." Rowan smiled hearing her.

Her voice was broken and filled with pain. Hugging her against his body, he nodded at her and then kissed her head. He was just so upset with what happened. He could feel her pain and he felt that he was wrong about her. He didn't have to say something like that to her and it was his own damn fault.

"I will. Let's get married before leaving" he said.

As soon as he said that, Arabella looked at him with wide eyes. Her eyes were teary but they were glowing with what he said. Rowan smiled at her and kissed her forehead. Soon a beautiful smile appeared on Arabella's face and she nodded at Rowan happily. She looked so fucking gorgeous.

"Okay…." moving even closer to him and kissing his cheek, Arabella uttered happily. Feeling how happy she was, Rowan smiled and then closed his eyes to sleep. Slowly he drifted into the sleep but suddenly, hearing Arabella's voice Rowan's eyes wide opened. He immediately looked at her with horror.

"Rowan…. I… can't see"

She became restless and started to struggle. Rowan shot up from the bed and looked at Arabella as he saw her eyes were bleeding. His heart stopped seeing her, he stared at her for a while and then his fists subconsciously curled upwards with fear and anger.

"My lord, move away!"

Instantly he heard the sound of the woman who came to guard Arabella. Pushing Rowan aside, she walked towards Arabella and touched her face before closing her eyes. Her eyes snapped open and she looked at Rowan with a serious face before speaking.

"My lord, you should run now. Go somewhere you cannot feel her heartbeat. You have to run so far away" he was shocked hearing him. He immediately shook his head. He was not going to leave Arabella. Not when she was in this kind of situation.

"Vampires has taken her vision. You need to stay out of her vision for a few hours until I get rid of this from her! Please…" hearing the guardian, Rowan clenched his jaws and looked at Arabella who was struggling on the bed. His eyes fell on her belly and his heart covered with fear, things are getting harder day by day and he felt that vampires are doing everything to find him.

"Take care of her! Don't let them feel that I have connections with her"

Rowan said and in the next second he shifted into his wolf before running out of the house as fast as he could. He was scared and he was just simply scared to think that vampires were finding about Arabella. If they ever got to know Arabella and she was pregnant with his child. She would have to go through a brutal pain.

He would never want that. With thinking all those things Rowan ran as fast as he could until he couldn't feel Arabella's scent and her heartbeat.
