"What did you talk about with Lucien?"

Arabella asked Rowan as he came into the house. Rowan walked towards her and kissed her forehead with a smile before shaking his head. He didn't want to tell her about the things that he talked about with Lucien. Then Arabella watched his face for a while before letting out a deep sigh.


"What's wrong with him? So suddenly? Telling me that he's my mate?" wrapping her hands around Rowan's neck, she asked him. Rowan placed his hands on the lower back of Arabella and caressed her waist before kissing her lips. He kissed her for a while and let go of her as he watched her face. After hearing Lucien's, he was somewhat upset.

Just like Lucien mentioned, what if Arabella again fell in love with him? Since she had loved him for years, there is little possibility of that. And most importantly, his heart ached with the thought that he was going to leave soon. Once he left, she would be alone and at that time, he had no idea what would happen. Maybe she will fall for Lucien again. But he had to leave, no matter what, he needed to save his people so he knew that there would always be a sacrifice.

"Rowan?"


He came back to his senses hearing Arabella's voice. He sighed and smiled at her before caressing her face. He shouldn't think about her like that. She's not someone who is selfish. She will not leave him like that. He thought while caressing her face. Then Rowan moved away from Arabella and walked towards the upstairs but he couldn't do it because he was stopped by Arabella.

"What's wrong? What happened between you two?" she grabbed him from his arm and made him look at her. Then she asked him. Rowan stared at the way her eyes traveled through his face and he sighed. Rubbing his forehead, thinking if he should tell it to her or not, he let out a complicated sigh.


"Nothing happened Bella, he just told me that you're his mate. That's all. He's trying to take you from me" he uttered looking at her face. Arabella stared at him for a while as he said that, then she sighed and shook her head before hugging him tightly. As she hugged him, Rowan smiled and hugged her back against his chest.

"I'm not going to him again Rowan… please don't worry.. There's no feelings inside of me for him anymore. Trust me" Arabella muttered while hugging him. Then she raised her head and looked at him with an innocent smile making his heart beat go wild. Rowan nodded at her, then kissed her forehead.

"I trust you," he whispered.

Arabella nodded at him with a happy expression and kissed his cheek as she broke the hug between them. Then she looked at him and sighed before checking his temperature. Rowan groaned as she did that, she was trying to make him stay in the bed.

"You should rest now. Just go!" she pushed him towards upstairs and said. Rowan didn't feel any pain or uncomfortable feelings in his body but he nodded at Arabella and walked upstairs knowing that he would not be able to take a breath freely if he didn't listen to her. Entering the room, he sighed and laid on the bed as he stared at the ceiling above him.

While staring at the ceiling above him, he couldn't help but think about the cruel reality. He was going to leave her soon and he had no idea what would happen once she was alone in this house. His eyes turned red as she thought about it. And at the same time his heart ached remembering that he will not be able to return so soon. Rowan raised his arm and rubbed his forehead with his fingertips helplessly.

While he was thinking, suddenly he felt a pain against his chest. He sat up on the bed immediately and placed his hand against his chest. The pain increased unknown. He got up from the bed and walked into the washroom but as soon as he entered the washroom, he coughed a mouth full of blood. He covered his mouth and walked stopped in front of the mirror of the washroom before looking at himself through it.

His neck was covered with the same blue patterns and blood dripping down through the corners of his mouth. He watched himself for a while and lowered his head. Maybe this will lead him to death but he didn't want to… he had more to do and he just had to save his people. Most importantly, he just wanted to see the child that Arabella would give birth to.

His eyes turned red and tears filled in them. Rowan clenched his jaws and looked at the mirror. He couldn't let him die, he needed to finish those things before his death. He would not be scared to die if Arabella was not together with him. But now she's living with him and he had marked her as his mate and his woman so it was impossible for him to leave. If he had to die, it would be such a huge shock and pain to Arabella.

Thinking about everything, Rowan lowered his head and turned on the tap of the sink before washing his mouth. He couldn't let her know anything about what was happening with him. Cleaning the floor of the washroom which was filled with blood drops where he stood, he took off his shirt too. The shirt was also covered with blood. Then he washed the blood off of his shirt and placed it on the rack.

Then he grabbed a towel and wrapped it around his neck and shoulders covering all the blue patterns of his body as he walked out of the washroom. He did it because if Arabella accidentally came into the room and saw him, it would be a mess. He knew that she was cooking lunch but he had to be careful.

Walking inside of the dressing room, he grabbed a t-shirt with a turtle neck before changing into it. Then he sighed and walked towards the bed as he laid on it. He closed his eyes and decided to take a rest but he couldn't do it. His mind recalled the past. How his parents died and what happened to his kingdom. Remembering his kingdom, he couldn't help but want to go there as soon as possible.

He opened his eyes and sighed. Getting up from the bed, he walked out of the room as he went downstairs. Stepping towards the kitchen, he saw Arabella was cooking. He watched her for a while and slowly walked out of the house as Edwin came to him. Looking at Edwin, Rowan parted his lips to speak.

"I need to finish everything soon. I thought I could be with her for a few more months but it seems like it's impossible. In two weeks.. I'll be going back to the kingdom. You should stay here and take care of her." Rowan uttered looking at Edwin. Then Edwin clenched his jaws and nodded at Rowan with a hurt filled expression. Rowan knew that Edwin also wanted to leave with him but at the same time, he was just sad for Rowan because he had to leave his woman.

"Are you doing things soon because of the parasite? My lord?" Edwin asked Rowan. Rowan took a deep breath and nodded at Edwin. There's no point of lying to Edwin because even if he didn't tell the truth, Edwin will always find the truth. As he nodded, Edwin's eyes turned red and he lowered his head.

"I will take care of the princess with my life. I can feel she's going to give birth to a little prince soon"

Rowan smiled hearing Edwin. Edwin always had the ability to predict everything correctly and now he's telling this. Rowan clenched his jaws and took a deep breath. It's really good. Even if he left, then Arabella would have the child. So she won't feel lonely.

"How lucky I am to be a father soon!"

Rowan smiled and muttered looking at Edwin. He just felt that he was blessed to have a child with the woman he loved for years. He never thought that Arabella would be with him. To him, it was always a dream but now his dream had come true but he was just unlucky as he had to leave her.

Maybe his fate was just so fucking bad, and he was unlucky. Moon goddess has given him the things he loved but she had limited his time. Rowan thought as he shook his head and walked into the house as Edwin disappeared from his sight. He will just try so hard to be alive and come back to her.
