It was the night time, Arabella changed into a nightgown after taking a shower. Then she walked out of the room wanting to find Rowan. He said that he had something to do, so he wanted to go out for a while. She didn't know if he came back or not. Thinking that he had come back, she went downstairs and then walked out of the house. As she came out of the house, her heart suddenly started to beat so fast.

She didn't know why but for some unknown reason, she felt weird and scared. Arabella stepped towards the courtyards of the house and looked around. Everywhere was dark. Not wanting to stay outside for so long and knowing that Rowan was not back yet, she decided to go into the house again because Rowan had asked her not to go out of the house. He just simply warned her.


As Arabella decided to go into the house and turned to leave, she heard a sound of a creature grunting. She was shocked, she immediately looked at the direction where the sound came from. Her heart hammered against her chest and she immediately hurried her steps towards the house with fear. She cursed herself for coming out of the house even after Rowan asked her not to.

Hearing footsteps, she stopped in front of the house and looked back as her heart suddenly stopped with fear. It was a huge creature. Watching that disgusting creature for a while, she felt that she wanted to vomit. The creature just simply looked as if he had just been born, just not from its mother's womb. Both blood and saliva like liquid dripping down through the body. Arabella bit her lower lip with disgust and immediately entered the house but before she could close the door, she saw Rowan who was coming.

Her heart tightened, she felt the fear thinking that something would happen to Rowan. Ignoring the creature who was slowly coming towards her, she opened the door and stepped outside wanting to go to Rowan. If she could go to him that means, she's safe but instantly, Rowan disappeared from her sight making her dumbfounded. Arabella was shocked, she looked everywhere but she couldn't see Rowan.


A reflective shudder ran through her body. She didn't know what just happened. She just simply saw Rowan and she was sure about it but now he was nowhere to be seen. She turned and looked at the house as she saw that she was already somewhat far from the house and then at the same time, the disgusting creator was dragging itself towards her. She helplessly looked around wanting to see Rowan but she got nothing.

"Rowan…" she muttered looking everywhere.


Then she waited but gained nothing. Knowing that he was not here, she immediately ran towards the gate of the courtyard wanting to run away from the creature. That creature was slow with the shape of its body so Arabella took that chance to run away.

Suddenly, she heard the same sound of the creature. Without stopping, she looked back as she saw that the creature was running fast towards her. Her heart tightened. Fear took over her and her eyes filled with tears. She didn't know why the hell something like this was happening at this time. Rowan was not at home.. Because of the fear inside of her heart, she started to call his name inside of her mind. She didn't know why Rowan was so late but she was scared not for herself but for himself.

"Fuck!!" she heard a voice and she stopped. Then she looked at Rowan who was coming towards her with blood on his shoulder. She was shocked to see him. She wanted to run towards him but she felt fear with what happened earlier. Then his eyes fell on her and they widened. He was cursing because of the wound he had on his shoulder.

"Bella? What the fuck? Why the hell are you here?" he roared looking at her and then strode towards her before grabbing her from her waist. Looking at his face, she raised her arm and pointed her finger at the creature. But she didn't move her eyes from his face, she was looking at him all the time even if she pointed her hand to the direction.

"What's wrong?" Suddenly Rowan asked. Hearing his question, Arabella was confused. Can't he see the creature? She asked herself before looking at the direction where the creature was. But she was stunned. There was nothing, there was nothing other than the empty road and the darkness. Her heart tightened. She couldn't understand what was happening.

With a confused face, she looked at Rowan and then hugged him so tightly. What did she just see? How can that creature disappear like this? It was impossible. Arabella thought while hugging him so tightly. She even saw Rowan and he also disappeared like that. What the hell is wrong with her? She couldn't understand anything. She didn't have the strength to speak or explain to Rowan what she just saw and what happened.

Instead of talking to him, all she did was hug him so tightly. Arabella heard Rowan's heavy breathings and she sighed and looked at him. His face was pale. Seeing him, her heart tightened, then at the same time, she remembered that he had a wound on his shoulder. Breaking the hug, she looked at him as she saw he was still staring at the place where she pointed before.

"What… What happened Rowan?" her voice was broken and filled with worry. As she spoke, Rowan looked at her and watched her face for a while before moving his eyes through her body. He sighed looking at her, then he took off the jacket he was wearing and covered her with it.

"How can you run out of the house like this?"

He said with a worried tone ignoring the question she asked him completely. One part of his jacket was covered with blood and Arabella felt the wetness of the jacket as he placed it around her. She stared at his face and then shook her head.

"You're hurt… what happened? Where did you go?" she again asked. Then he looked at her and smiled before kissing her forehead. Arabella's heart was aching for him. She knew that he had so many things that he hadn't told her yet but she couldn't see him getting hurt like this.

"It's just a scratch Bella. Let me carry you. You're not wearing your slippers" he said as he carried her but Arabella strictly refused him and asked him to put her down. Then Rowan groaned and put her down. As he put her down, she took his arm and stared at his emerald orbs before speaking.

"What are you hiding from me? How can it be a scratch? It's a deep wound Rowan. Just don't lie to me"

Her eyes filled with tears as she spoke. She wanted to know everything but yet she waited until he told her but now she felt that he had no desire to let her know anything. Those thoughts hurt her feelings so badly. She's already in love with him and she doesn't know what will happen to her if something unexpected happens between them.

And at the same time, she didn't want Roan to get hurt. Looking at him, she couldn't control her tears. Then his eyes suddenly turned red and he immediately hugged her. She knew that he didn't like it when she cried but she couldn't force her tears thinking that he was not telling her anything.

"Bella, I'm sorry if I hurt you." he muttered, kissing her head.

Then she buried her face against his chest and sighed without telling anything. She didn't speak to him. She just didn't want to talk to him because he was still hiding things from her. Feeling that she was angry and upset, Rowan carried her and walked through the path to their house.

Coming to the house, he placed Arabella on the sofa. She raised her head and looked at him as she saw he was looking at him with a small smile. Seeing his innocent and beautiful smile, she wanted to hit him because every time he smiled at her like that, her heart melted and she didn't feel like giving attitude to him.

"I'll take medicine and come" she muttered and got up from the sofa as she walked upstairs. Then taking the medicine pack, she came downstairs as she saw Rowan had already taken off his t-shirt and was leaning against the headboard of the sofa with his eyes closed. Seeing the serious expression of his face, Arabella sighed and walked towards him.
