Looking at the way she walked away, for the first time in his life, his wolf whimpered looking at her. Lucien could feel his wolf's feelings and there was the pain of losing someone. He watched her until she entered the house and then he turned to leave.

His mind was filled with her eyes, and the way she looked at him after hearing what he said. Clenching his jaw along with his muscles, he shifted back into his wolf before running towards the pack house.


"Alpha"

Rowan walked towards him as he entered the pack house and put an overcoat on him as he shifted back into his human form. He looked at Rowan for a while and walked away wrapping the coat around him.

"From tomorrow onwards, send a few guards to maize yield!"


He sat on his chair and looked at the male warriors of his pack. Gaining their questioning gazes, he sighed and rubbed his forehead.

"Arabella was about to be attacked by a creature, but that creature was not similar to any other creature we dealt with. He was totally different,"


"As I felt, he made her body weak before the attack" he explained.

Then he looked at Rowan, he didn't miss the way Rowan's body stiffened. His eyes turned cold seeing how restless Rowan became after hearing him. Rowan liked Arabella, and it was not a secret for him. He had warned Rowan too many times when he was dating her, but now he had broken up with her and there was a good chance Rowan would get closer to her.

But his heart didn't want it, he had a possessive feeling towards Arabella even if he didn't want her anymore. He just didn't want to see her with anyone other than him.

"Leave, guard those places I mentioned and tomorrow morning check the maize yield" he dismissed everyone.

"Rowan, stay for a while" he spoke again and stopped Rowan from going. He didn't want Rowan to go to Arabella and comfort her.

"Yes, alpha" Rowan waited while others left the room.

"Do you still have feelings for her?" Lucien asked.

Rowan's eyes turned empty hearing him, he didn't answer Lucien as soon as he heard it. Lucien waited for his answer patiently knowing that it was a hard question to answer.

"You know I love her, Lucien," he replied with a small smile playing on his lips.

Lucien clenched his fists under the table, gazing at Rowan he chuckled. His heart was filled with something strange. He was possessive and somewhat jealous. His wolf let out a possessive growl seeing Rowan expression. His wolf's sudden possessiveness made his heart clumsy with unknown feelings.

"You still love her after knowing that I used her?" getting up from the chair Lucien asked.

"We had this conversation before. You warned me to stay away from her when she was with you but now you two are no longer related so that will always be my own decision if I want her or not"

"And to be honest, everyone in the pack knows what you did to her, Lucien. Everyone knows you just threw her away for a woman who came from nowhere. And you just threw both yours and Arabella's more than fifteen years old relationship"

"I don't wanna talk about this much alpha. I'm leaving"

That's all that Rowan said, he walked away without looking back. Lucien stood there like an ice mountain and watched him leave. Rowan's words had hit across his chest, his every word was contained with the truth.

It was he who pushed Arabella away from him as soon as finding Milena. Memories surged into his mind as he let memories suppress him easily.

"Lucien... We are mates" Arabella ran towards him with a smile and jumped into his arms adorably.

He looked down at her and watched her pretty smile, but his heart clenched, feeling that it was a fake one. He heartlessly pushed her away from his body and looked into her shocked eyes.

"Don't lie, woman. Here is my mate"

He showed Milena who was blushing to Arabella, Arabella's face turned pale as she looked at Milena, a sneer appeared on his face seeing her face ashen. She glanced at Milena for a while and looked back at him.

"Who? Who is she?" Arabella asked.

Lucien curled his lips upwards and walked towards Milena before wrapping his arm around her waist and pulling her into a passionate kiss. Then he stopped kissing her and looked at Arabella's trembling and tear-filled face.

"Lucien?" she spoke.

Her voice was broken and filled with pain. She took a few steps closer to him and looked into his eyes.

"We are mates… what are you doing?" she asked him again.

"Arabella, she's my mate. Stop your lies. You're just nothing but a liar. Look closely, she's my mate and not you"

She shook her head hearing him and looked at Milena again before moving her gaze towards him. Her eyes were red, pink lips had become red.

"How come? My wolf telling me that you're my mate!" she said.

He chuckled and shook his head hearing her. She was a liar and it was Milena who showed it to him. Even though he didn't know when Arabella lied to him, his mind kept telling him that she's a liar and don't believe her.

And he couldn't remember much about the time they spent together, everything felt like fading away. He felt the things she said to him were all lies while he couldn't remember what he said to her.

Everything felt like a mess as a disgusting feeling and hatred appeared on his mind towards the girl he loved the most and towards the girl he had made so many promises to.

Lucien forced his memories back. He didn't like Arabella and that's it. He has Milena now, so why should he have possessive feelings towards a woman who has no relation to him. Just simply annoying.

Tomorrow he's gonna announce his marriage with Milena and then the whole pack will understand that Milena was his everything and not that scheming woman who kept telling that she was his mate.
