Arabella was standing in the same place looking at the door Lucien closed. Her heart was suffocating and her wolf was howling with agony after seeing her mate's cruelty towards her. She lowered her head and looked at her arm which was injured by him.

Her lips slowly curled upwards to a painful smile, then she walked out of his office room. She wanted to be alone for some time, she wanted to release the pain in her heart. So she walked into the forest without even shifting into her wolf.


She was walking as if she had no energy in her body, she really had no energy with her wolf suffering from a disease. She was getting weak and weak, her wolf's blood becoming low because of the parasite living inside of her wolf's body.

She knew there was no way for her to survive this strange disease, but she wanted to be loved by her mate before she died. She arrived at the river and sat on a huge rock, she watched the river and smiled.

"I love this place, Lucien.. Don't you like it?"


She was resting her head on his shoulder while he was wrapping his arm around her waist full of love. She was happy to have him beside her, and he was always there for her.

"I love everything you love." Kissing her hair, he answered.


She immediately looked at him and giggled. Her heart was beating fast and there were no words to describe her happiness. She loved him so much and he also loved her as much as she loved him.

"We will come here every time we can, okay?" she asked him

"Yes, let's come here together."

He answered with a beautiful smile on his face, she watched his face and smiled. He was handsome, his eyes were blue and perfectly matched with his dark brown hair. She had never seen a handsome man like him.

"You look so handsome Lucien, I fear someone cruel will snatch you from me."

She said while touching his face, he looked at her with a confused look and then laughed. Shaking his head, he pecked on her lips.

"Who dares to snatch me from my Luna? I will just kill them."

Standing up from the rock they were sitting on, he winked at her playfully as he walked towards the river and took off his shirt before jumping into it.

"I'm coming too."

With a happy smile on her face, she took off her dress and wore his shirt as she jumped into the river as he caught her and cuddled her in a cute way. Their laughter was echoing everywhere inside of the forest, they were happy and lovely.

She was pulled back to reality from her memories. She wished she could live in the past, without growing up. She was still the same, she was still sitting on the same rock they used to sit on but he wasn't there next to her.

The promises he made were just words. The things he said were just empty. He had let Milena snatch him from her easily. He didn't kill as he said, he just fell in love with her, throwing his real mate away from his life.

He just ignored the love they developed for years just for a woman who he had seen for the first time. She could endure everything if she wasn't his mate but things were not working as she wanted.

Even after finding she was his mate, she experienced the most painful thing a werewolf could feel and it was her mate calling another woman mate. He had a smile on his face looking at that woman which made Arabella's heart go numb.

She couldn't understand why he could not feel her, she was his mate and she can swear that but he just acknowledged Milena as his mate.

"Arabella, here you are."

Her thoughts stopped hearing a familiar voice, she turned and looked at the man who was smiling at her. She wiped her tears and smiled at him.

"What are you doing alone? It's getting dark, you should go home," he said.

She nodded at him and got up. Then with a small smile, she watched him for a while before speaking.

"Why are you here Rowan?" she asked him.

"I was just walking around and then I saw a beauty sitting here."

She smiled hearing his answer, then she nodded at him and walked towards the forest wanting to leave. Suddenly, her hand was caught by him. She looked back at him with a questioning gaze.

"Were you crying because of Lucien?"

She lowered her head and took a deep breath, then she again looked into Rowan's eyes and smiled, ignoring the pain she was suffering from.

"What can I do other than crying? Can I just prove to him that I'm his mate while his mind was only with her?"

Stepping towards the forest she asked, Rowan was following her but she didn't look back at him because she knew his feelings towards her. Even if she pretended that she didn't know his feelings, she clearly knew he had a crush on her ever since she was with Lucien.

"He will know it one day."

Arabella stopped walking, she waited for a while and looked back at Rowan. Then she smiled at him for the encouragement he gave her.

"I hope it won't be too late," she replied and smiled.

He nodded at her and walked out of the forest, as they came out of the forest, Arabella went home.

"I'm home, mom." She said in a low voice and then walked upstairs.

As she entered the house, she felt unbearable pain through her lower body and she knew what it was. Walking into the washroom she looked at herself through the mirror.

Her wolf was crying from pain, her body was numb. Her lips were trembling, while her heart was suffocating. She closed her eyes and endured her pain. Then opening her eyes she looked at her face which was turning blue with the venom of the parasite living inside of her wolf.

She noticed one thing, this happens to her because of one reason.

Lucien was with Milena intimately.

Every time he was having sex with his fake mate, the parasite in her body released venom which made her weak.

"If I die, I hope I will never meet you in my next life."

"I will stop everything with my death... And never look back at you."

She muttered with a painful smile.
