The nobleman's painting was chosen as the best painting of the day.

Of course, with his skillful brushwork and color combinations, the painting of a child playing with an easel was beautiful and charming.

Rey was constantly receiving praise from the members of the association, and it was true what the man thought about his image that had just formed.

"Rey Lueic has a hidden talent."

"Rey Lueic turned out to be good at painting, which is unexpected."

"I thought he was just a successful businessman, but it turns out he's good at art too."

And various other comments from the members of the association, which are indeed worthy of being pinned and expressed for Rey's paintings.

Even the tutor who taught that day clearly said to Rey, that he could become an artist someday if he was tired of taking care of the company.

And Rey, could only laugh while hiding his pride.

Luana approached her husband with two drinks in hand, because now they had entered the coffee break schedule. Some members chose to go straight home, but most stayed in the large building to enjoy the meal.

"Hey, did you finish your interview?" Luana thrust the hand holding the fruit punch towards Rey, which he accepted.

Between chuckles, Rey pulled Luana closer.

"Close to me, sweetheart," he said before taking a sip of his drink. "Thank you for this drink."

Luana smiled, glancing once again at the painting of her husband that was now placed right in front of their meeting room.

"Do you like it?" asked Rey, who now turned his head in the same direction as his wife. "How about giving the painting a name?"

What a great suggestion. Of course Luana agreed to that without having to ask questions.

"How about 'our baby'?" she suggested with a twinkle in her eye. "Our baby?"

Rey didn't need to argue, because he would definitely agree to what Luana wanted.

"Sure, sweetheart." The nobleman agreed. "Valerie asked for the painting to be displayed here."

Luana hurriedly turned her head.

"And you gave it to her?"

"No way, honey," Rey replied with a small shake of his head. "I wouldn't leave a painting of our baby here alone, would I? He'll be lonely for sure."

The way Rey spoke just now made Luana reflexively laugh, feeling truly amused by her husband's now more understanding sensibilities.

"Let's take it home," Luana suggested, to which Rey nodded in agreement. "We can hang it in our room."

Rey finished the slightly sour drink, before offering to put back Luana's empty glass.

They intended to take their leave of the club after this, as they would rather enjoy their time alone than in a crowd.

Until Valerie hurried over to Luana, who had now changed her clothes. No longer wearing her mauve-colored overalls, she was now wearing a casual T-shirt with jeans wrapped around her slender legs.

"Are you leaving?" Luana asked first, before Valerie greeted them.

"I'm going to Heidelberg tonight, Luana," Valerie replied with a bright smile. Her greenish eyeballs rolled slowly, and somehow it seemed so charming.

"Ah, really?"

"You're going?" Rey chimed in, because it seemed like Valerie's plan was sort of know-it-all--impromptu.

Rubbing Luana's arm, Valerie could be heard taking a breath.

"Actually, I have something to tell you," said the woman.

Valerie's words caught the attention of Rey and Luana, who were now both looking at the young woman.

"So, I seem to be accepting the arranged marriage arranged by my extended family," Valerie said slowly.

Luana's expression turned happy, because that meant Valerie would soon be letting go of her bachelorhood. Even though she was just friends and acquaintances with Valerie, Luana already considered her as best friend.

The youngest daughter of the Genneth family did indeed represent a high-class noble lady, with the beauty of her speech and manners.

"That's why I have to go back to Heidelberg," Valerie continued. "Pedro is probably waiting for me there, and we can't help but meet soon."

Luana frowned, trying to digest what Valerie was explaining to her. Meanwhile, Rey only smiled faintly, because from the beginning he had known the plan of the two big families Viscout and Genneth to match their sons and daughters.

Hadn't Jovi told him this, when they stepped into Heidelberg for the first time the other day?

"Pedro?" Luana said faintly. "Wait, are you...."

Luana was still trying to find the right words to finish her sentence, but Valerie's voice had settled Rey's wife's curiosity first.

"Yes, Luana," Valerie laughed. "I'll marry Pedro, maybe."

Luana couldn't help but be surprised, but that didn't diminish her happiness for Valerie.

"Oh my God, you guys!" Luana exclaimed under her breath. "I never thought that you and Pedro...."

"We've been friends since childhood," Valerie said between Luana's sentences. "And so, both families kept insisting that we get married. Pedro has been stalling for time, but the deal doesn't seem to be changing."

Rey cleared his throat softly, choosing not to interrupt the conversation between the two women taking place in front of him.

"And I just decided, Luana," Valerie continued. "Maybe marrying someone I've known for a long time will be easier, than having to marry a stranger who I don't know how he lives."

Luana silently agreed with what Valerie had just said. Because deep in the corner of her heart, she also wished the best for Valerie and Pedro.

Grabbing Valerie's hand, Luana gently patted the back of the woman's hand. As if she was giving her best support.

"I wish you and Pedro all the best, Valerie," Luana prayed in the air. "May your marriage go smoothly and everything be for the best."

Now it was Valerie's turn to agree silently, then returned Luana's gentle pat on her hand.

"My best wishes to you too, Luana," Valerie said back. "I hope you will always be healthy, and that your pregnancy goes smoothly until the day of delivery. I can't wait to see what your baby looks like."

Valerie's smile was echoed by Rey and Luana.

"Danke, Valerie."

Between nods, Valerie glanced at her watch, which showed it was almost six in the afternoon.

"I have to hurry, Luana," she said goodbye. "Take care of yourself, okay?"

Now turning to Rey, Valerie smiled. "Take good care of your wife, Rey."

Rey winked, a sign that he understood and would do his best for his wife, of course.

Waving at Luana and Rey who escorted her to the car park, Valerie finally got into an online taxi that she had ordered a few minutes ago.

Luana and Rey were still standing right beside their car, until the taxi carrying Valerie turned the corner and disappeared from sight.

Hugging Luana with one arm, Rey whispered softly.

"Don't we now have a reason to speed up our trip to Heidelberg?"

Luana turned her head, blinking a few times.

"You're right," she said happily. "One more story may have just begun, Rey. As we reach the end of the story, it seems that Valerie and Pedro are just about to begin their path."

And rightly so, for that is exactly what will happen.

Let's pray that Valerie and Pedro have their own story, which is no less interesting than the Luana-Rey story.
