Luana had just come out of the bathroom when Rey appeared to be leaning against the headboard of the bed. Wearing a T-shirt that clung to his body, the man occasionally swayed the two legs that were stretched straight forward.

Something the noble man was holding caused Luana to pull the corners of her lips together to form a smile as her footsteps approached the same spot.

Mrs. Lueic's hair had not completely dried, and Rey's glance at her made the woman smile even wider.

"Don't you get tired of looking at him?" Climbing onto their large bed, Luana pulled back the covers and leaned in just as Rey did. "Are you so happy, Rey?"

Rey really could not hide the feeling of excitement that was surrounding him. Moreover, he was unable to take his eyes off the one object he had been holding.

It was actually just a piece of paper, but it meant so much to Rey.

"Come here, Luana."

Stretching out his arms for his wife to come into his embrace, Rey then landed a small peck on her forehead.

"It seems like even if I look at him for 24 hours, I'll never get bored. You know what, honey, this all feels unreal. Look, how can this little dot be a baby?" Rey seemed happy to chatter that night.

Luana chuckled, feeling happy for the atmosphere that now enveloped their room. The couple was indeed filled with unparalleled happiness, especially after both of them had a pregnancy checkup this afternoon.

And the ultrasound results provided by doctor Nalini Prachatery had really stunned Rey. It was first time for Rey seeing such things, and the royal's expression said it all.

"I was very happy when I heard how doctor Nalini said that you and our child are fine." Rey said in a tone of voice full of happiness. "Look, Luana. This is our child."

Pointing at the small square paper, Rey then carved a big smile. "I don't know, but it feels really great to know that we're going to have a child. Our flesh and blood, the proof of our love."

Luana pointed her bead in the same direction, now watching how the small paper swayed gently in her husband's hand.

This was what it felt like, to feel a happiness that words could not express.

Luana's pregnancy check-up that afternoon could be said to have gone very smoothly. The appointment that Rey had arranged with doctor Nalini, successfully made the man and his wife meet their future child for the first time.

Doctor Nalini's friendliness was not just a figment of her imagination, and it was indeed what caused the doctor of Indian-European descent to become one of the doctors with the most patients in Munich.

"I'm grateful for that too, Rey," Luana said as she ran her palm over Rey's chest. "Even though this is my first experience, I'm grateful to our son for not giving me a hard time."

Rey looked happy, who this time moved to change positions to lean more towards Luana. Taking turns placing his firm hands on her belly, he dipped his fingers to wander inside her nightgown.

"You're a good boy, little baby," Rey said as if whispering to his future son. "Grow well in your mother's belly. Don't give your mom a hard time, okay? Daddy can't wait to meet you, even though you're still just a little speck."

Luana's laughter echoed, half embarrassed and half creeped out observing how Rey had just behaved. Don't know where Rey Lueic's cold and authoritative image went, because that night he really talked a lot and acted sweet like he wasn't him.

Rubbing Luana's stomach which still felt flat, Rey smiled again. Bending down to now uncover her blouse, Rey kissed his wife's smooth skin deeply.

"Good night, little baby," he murmured softly.

Something that now stunned Luana, as she had seen how Rey cared for their child even though it was not time to meet eyes.

Leaning his head on Luana's stomach, Rey seemed to be delivering the baby to sleep first. Luana's hand in the man's hair accompanied how Rey seemed to enjoy what he was doing, before then the man sat upright again.

"Honey, you remember you still owe me something?"

Luana raised an eyebrow, kept the smile and now put on a face of feigned ignorance. Innocent, which somehow even looked so beautiful and charming.

"Me? What do I owe you?"

Rey moved quickly to deposit the ultrasound into the nightstand, then repositioned himself to face his wife.

"Your secret," the man reminded. "You remember? We promised to share our secrets. This time, it's your turn to tell, okay?"

Luana's attempt to pretend that she didn't remember failed miserably, because the eyes that Rey cast on her were no longer able to make her evasive.

Because what the nobleman said was true, and the fact that Luana still owed her husband a secret could not be denied. Inevitably, she had to take turns telling the secret about her life before this.

The life she lived alone, long before she met and made love with Rey.

"Ah, that secret...," she muttered softly. "Are you sure you want to listen?"

Rey already looked interested, as he had long wanted to hear how Luana lived before he was with her.

"This time I'll be the listener," Rey said enthusiastically. "Tell me your secret, about how you lived before we met, Luana."

Luana smiled briefly, followed by a long breath to fill her chest cavity. This conversation would probably take a while, but she was ready to reveal what her life had been like.

"I grew up not knowing who my parents were, Rey."

Quite an interesting opening to the story, isn't it?
