The longer Rey looked into his wife's bead, the more Mrs. Lueic blushed.
Every word she heard this last time made her feel like an angel about to fly with artificial wings, because Rey's every word sounded so sweet and soothing. Truly, this night wind meant nothing, because now Luana's heart was warm.
Likewise with the swish in her heart that now spreads throughout the veins.
"Is that so?" Luana asked after clenching her lips for almost a minute. Her beady eyes moved slowly as if searching for honesty in Rey's blue irises, and indeed that was what she found there. "So me and the boy appeared in your dream, so you did that?"
Rey was heard taking a breath to release all the burden that had been choking him. The fact that his actions were wrong was indefensible, and it was the only thing he could think of to make sure Luana didn't abuse his brutal actions that night.
Because he wanted to tie her up, because he wanted Luana to be the one carrying his child. Still, the choice and the method were wrong.
"I want you to carry my child, Luana." Rey's voice was melodious, carrying a cold, snowy chill that felt reassuring. "My actions at the time were wrong, but believe me I intended for you to stay."
Rey seemed to think for a moment, before continuing his explanation.
"That felt so stupid," the man muttered. "After the dream, I woke up probably half-drunk. Can drunk people remember dreams so clearly? I think so, because I experienced it myself, Luana. I even remember your face clearly in my dream."
A two-second pause.
"That's why I looked for you in your room, but didn't find you there. I heard what you were talking about with Jovi that night."
Luana frowned again, even she could barely remember what she and Jovi had talked about that night. Not as clear as the memory of her decision to walk into the cold ocean water.
"So you were there?" asked Luana incredulously. "Did you hear us talking?"
"You said you weren't supposed to be there," Rey repeated what he had heard Luana say that night. "You told Jovi that it wasn't your place, and for some reason that made my anger suddenly rise."
Luana looked at her husband intently, who did not show the slightest hint of a lie there. Now hearing Rey speak, Luana remembered that she had said that to Jovi.
At that time, all she could think about was how to escape the trap of their fake marriage. She repeatedly told herself that her position was not there, and she should be prepared to leave when Beatrice returned.
And apparently, Rey heard it all.
"Maybe the devil told me to do that," Rey said again. "And, it just happened, honey. Between the effects of the alcohol still lingering in my head, I was just thinking about how I could sleep with you that night."
It really doesn't make sense, does it? But that's the story.
Luana sighed. "Jesus, Rey...."
"I don't know, maybe alcohol ordered my brain to take absurd actions, but believe me I didn't see you as Beatrice at all that night."
Another sentence that made Luana's heart almost burst out of her chest. I swear to God! All this time she thought she was replacing Beatrice that night! She kept thinking that Rey was fucking Beatrice!
"Not once have I seen you as her, Luana," Rey explained again, repeating himself and hoping that Luana would truly believe him. It may have come too late, but isn't the truth the truth no matter how late it comes to the surface?
Luana's body shook slowly, as if her heart was being forced to beat fifty times faster now. The woman's feelings were mixed, indescribable now.
"If I wanted to, I could have gotten her pregnant before our wedding day." Rey shrugged. "But you'll be even more incredulous if I continue."
Rey looked at Luana with a dangling smile, and it succeeded in making Luana's curiosity soar.
"Say it, come on. Say it, continue your sentence."
Rey smiled a smirk, then gently stroked his wife's hair.
"I never slept with Beatrice," Rey said. It sounded joking, but that was the man's true identity. While other men lose their virginity at the age of 13, he was able to not even do that until he met Luana.
So, Luana was the first woman for him.
"How is that possible!" snapped Luana in complete disbelief. "Rey, you!" The woman straightened up, shaking her head with bulging eyes. "Don't lie to me!"
Rey chuckled, because that was exactly the reaction he had expected from Luana.
"Another one of my secrets has been exposed, darling," Rey replied lightly. "Trust me, you're the first. I don't fuck women who aren't my wife. Because I don't do it for fun."
Luana's eyes were perfectly rounded. This night had been a very long night.
"So, how did you endure it?" Luana asked, leaning closer. "You did it yourself, huh?"
(I'd love to type that out, but Rey has told me to keep it a secret.)
"Okay, okay," Luana said with a bright smile. "Oh my god, Rey. This is all really secret."
Luana was still shaking her head when Rey brought his face closer to hers, hands clasped together.
"I'm sorry for that night, honey," Rey said sincerely. The glint in his eyes could not lie. "I didn't plan to hurt you, but I couldn't think of any other way. That's how I was at the time-like a demon that scared you and forced everything. I may have been half drunk, but I knew what I was doing."
Luana blinked softly. Pulling the corners of her lips to curve a smile now. A part of her had been wondering if she would tell Rey about the events between her and Jovi that night. But now that their conversation was warming up with the sweet truth, Luana didn't even want to think about it anymore.
Assume it's also her fault for responding with such a short-sighted, narrow-minded response. If Rey is at fault, then assume she's also at fault for not giving the man a chance to explain.
After all, they were happy now.
"So, that little boy in your dream is the child I'm carrying right now? You think so?" Luana leaned her head back against Rey's chest. Rubbing the touched skin between the three open shirt buttons.
"It's possible, isn't it?" greeted Rey enthusiastically. "I believe in dreams, Luana."
Luana smiled, releasing all the feelings in her heart to fly into the sky. Now, they seemed ready to forget the bad things that remained that night, and agreed to accept the fact that it was there that their love blossomed.
"Then I believe it too," Luana said happily. "Whatever happened that night, I don't regret it now, Rey. Because I'm with you now, waiting for our child."
Rey agreed with what his wife said, signaled by a gentle peck that landed on the top of Luana's head.
"Come here." Rey released the embrace slowly, bringing Luana back to face him now. "I promise to take care of you, Luana. Take care of our child, and I'll make sure you're happy with me. Okay?"
It felt like Luana had heard the same thing from her husband many times, but it still made her skin crawl. Rey's extremely handsome face made it difficult to take her eyes off him, especially when he came forward to land his lips right on top of hers.
Luana closed her eyes when Rey initiated their kiss after three long chapters, savoring how he gave her a deep squeeze and suck there. Moving quickly to embrace his wife's waist, Rey did not let the kiss end easily.
After all, he had ordered Markus to do something earlier.
Just when Luana was gasping for air and almost out of breath, Rey gently moved his lips away from Mrs. Lueic's lips. Their foreheads were intertwined, and Rey simply slipped his hand into the long dress his wife was wearing.
The touch of Rey's fingers always felt like an electric shock, which then made Luana sigh softly without even realizing it. Rey was really able to make Luana relax even just through touch.
The nobleman's lips had traced Luana's slender neck which was deliberately looking up, as if giving her man access to explore her further. The stars above were probably watching, when Luana realized something before it was too late.
"Re-rey." The woman's voice was weak, as she was about to fall into the arms of her playful husband from earlier.
"What, honey? Do you like it?" Rey's skillful hand movements did not stop.
"We have to move, don't we?" Luana whispered, half-hugging her husband. The cardigan she wore was still draped but not properly anymore, as her dress had been ripped either at the top or bottom. "We can't continue here. There are cameras, hey!"
But Rey only smiled happily, not at all stopping what he was starting.
"I already asked Markus to sterilize the garden, honey. The camera stopped working earlier." Rey pecked the crook of his wife's neck playfully. "Let's do it here, I want you right now."
And Luana, really had no choice but to pull her dress up even more. Looking at Rey with a seductive gaze, the woman was getting smarter and smarter.
Pulling Rey closer to her, the pregnant woman whispered in an artificially resigned tone.
"Come in. I'm ready for you, My Lord."
