Luana was completely stunned.

What Rey had just said seemed to turn off her brain function suddenly, causing the woman to not even be able to think clearly now.

The fact that Rey had just revealed as the man's secret, successfully took Luana and her memories flying through the sky in a very complex mind.

Was Rey just talking about that night?

The night where Luana felt like the dirtiest girl in the world, because every touch and event that happened to her and the nobleman really could not be categorized as something romantic. As Luana remembered it, all that remained of that night was tears and despair, which even led her to almost lose her mind when she decided to enter the ocean.

Of course, it is still vividly imprinted in the reader's mind, about how desperate Luana was after losing the only treasure that was most precious to her. Her position as a servant in Madam Collins' mansion meant that she had never known love before, and she didn't even know what it was like to be thrilled by a man.

But that night, everything was taken away by Rey in an unorthodox way. Although there were rights involved in his status as a husband, what he did was unforgivable.

Opening her lips after being stunned for a while, Luana still blinked softly.

"You mean... the incident at the gazebo... in Heidelberg that time?" she asked haltingly. Half unsure, but which other beach might Rey be referring to?

Rey's face turned slightly serious, just as the man squeezed Luana's fingers that he was still holding tightly.

"I know it must be hard for you, Luana," the man replied in a low tone. His gaze was directed straight at his wife, although he still felt uncertain whether discussing the events of that night was the right choice.

But if he thought about it again, maybe Luana should and had the right to know what happened that night.

"No," Luana replied with a shake. It was strange to feel how the fear of that night's events was slowly fading away. "Just tell me, I'll listen to whatever secrets you tell me."

Rey seemed to paint a smile, just before she started to reveal the secret she had been keeping to herself.

"Ready to listen?"

Mrs. Lueic nodded firmly. "Ready!"

"So here it is... in ancient times...."

Only three words had left the handsome man's lips, but Luana was already reflexively patting the man's arm. Putting on a fierce face that was made up despite being a hundred percent failure, Luana chuckled sarcastically.

"That's the story!" the expectant mother grumbled in annoyance, which made Rey burst out laughing with great satisfaction.

"Yeah, yeah... so, like I said earlier, I wasn't actually completely drunk that night." Rey actually started his story. "I did drink a lot of alcohol when I chose to join my friends at the bar. We played silly games, and for some reason I repeatedly lost that night."

Luana inwardly agreed with her husband's statement, as she still remembered how strong the smell of liquor was in her nose when Rey forced their first kiss.

"You must have felt the taste of alcohol left on my lips, when I stole your kiss that night," Rey said with a twinkle in his eye, which somehow looked even more charming under the darkness of the night. "But you know what, Luana? I also felt how your lips trembled when I kissed you."

Luana looked confused whether she should blush at that statement, or instead slap Rey on the head. Right on the head.

"You know I was shocked at the time!" snapped Luana quickly. "After all, who wouldn't be shocked by such a situation! Every girl who experiences it must be in shock, you know!"

Luana's passionate reply now made Rey take a deep breath. Looking at how his wife still had lingering emotions, now the nobleman truly knew that he had made a mistake.

Whatever the reason, such harsh actions were never justified. Especially, to an innocent girl like Luana.

"You ruined my first experience, Rey," Luana said again, this time deliberately narrowing her bead at the man. "But thankfully you were able to make up for it afterward."

Luana didn't know why, but she just blushed. She was still embarrassed to talk about it with Rey, even though it had now been repeated between them many times.

Mornings, afternoons, evenings, days, no matter the time. Just remember that both of them are overwhelmed with youthful passion.

"You're blushing, darling," Rey teased closer. Poking his wife's cheek, he smiled happily. "Now you're enjoying it, aren't you? Yes, aren't you? Just admit it."

And sure enough, a pinch landed on Rey Lueic's flat stomach.

"Hey!" Luana interrupted, hiding her all too obvious embarrassment. "Let's not talk about that! Come on, continue with your story."

Rey laughed while grimacing softly. His wife's pinch was not a tin can.

"Alright. So, the point is that I drank a lot," Rey returned to the topic, his eyes slowly widening. "Then, I suddenly lost consciousness and got high for a while."

Luana's eyes widened.

"You passed out?"

"I don't know, but it seemed like something similar because I felt like I fell asleep for a while," Rey replied with a shrug of his shoulders.

His brow furrowed as if he was trying to recall a memory, as he had planned to reveal everything that happened without any cover-ups.

"And then?"

"Then, I had a dream." Rey changed his sitting position to face Luana more, because this was the core of the story he was about to tell.

"Dreamed?"

"I dreamt of someone back then, sweetheart," Rey half mumbled. "A woman at the end of the street, with a child standing right next to her."

Luana waited with a curious expression on her face, as Rey took a pause to seem thoughtful for a moment. Recounting a dream was not as easy as it seemed, especially when it had happened months ago.

"The woman was in front of me, and it made me feel very far away from her even though we were very close," Rey continued. "I tried to move my arms to at least reach her shoulders, but it was very difficult because I was also having trouble breathing."

Luana shuddered softly, inwardly grumbling why dreams could be that dramatic. Now she even noticed Rey's eyes changing slowly, as the story went deeper.

Apparently, the noble was also feeling very emotional in the dream.

"But I did not choose to give up," Rey said again. "I don't know why, but there was an urge in my heart to keep reaching for it. I tried to scream as loud as I could with all the energy I had left, but it was all in vain."

Luana sighed for a moment, before she gently patted the back of her husband's hand.

"You can stop if it's hard for you, Rey," she offered.

It wasn't that she didn't want to hear the whole story, but rather that she didn't want to see that look in Rey's eyes. Because now the man sounded like he was digging up an old story that was quite painful.

"No, no," Rey disagreed. "I'll continue, Luana. So, I tried to call out to the woman, but she didn't turn her head at all. Then, the boy who was holding her hand turned to me."

This is very interesting, Luana thought.

"Did you see his face?" she asked. "Did you recognize him?"

Rey smiled between shakes of his head.

"No, I don't remember his face at all. He was just so luminous, yet I clearly heard him speak to me. Just three words, just three words, Luana."

Luana's heart jumped, as if she was listening to a suspenseful thriller right now.

"You're a good storyteller, Rey," Luana couldn't help but praise. "You managed to keep me tense and curious!"

Rey chuckled happily, really enjoying how they were now sharing stories and each other's company.

"Come on, continue!" The expectant mother was impatient.

"He said it very clearly, Luana," Rey said, entering the heart of the story. "Three words, listen to me carefully."

"Yes, yes. Say it fast!"

"Do it tonight."

"Huh?"

"Do it tonight."

Luana's brow furrowed again, not understanding what her husband was saying.
