alerie relaxed her embrace with Luana slowly.

Being among the crowd of people who had packed the airport area that afternoon, the three of them compactly waved at Pedro who had just stepped into the departure gate a few minutes ago.

Neither Luana, Rey nor Valerie had moved from where they were standing, until the silhouette of the fighter's body completely disappeared after taking a turn to the right.

Dragging a medium-sized light gray suitcase, Pedro also wore a backpack on his back. The man's conversation with Rey earlier seemed like a conversation that happened at the right place and the right time, because at least now Pedro could actually move on from the hopes and dreams that could never come true.

At first Pedro thought he would leave Munich with half of his heart left behind, but somehow now his steps felt so light.

There was nothing left in Munich for him, especially after he opened his heart to admit everything right in front of Rey. Proud of the accomplishments he had made for himself, the tattooed man now truly left Luana behind.

His feelings that became insecure because they would never become real he could finally let go, because now Pedro knew Luana had chosen to be with the right person. The glint in Rey's eyes at Luana couldn't lie, and it was enough to make Pedro at least relieved for all this.

One unending story had just ended, and returning to Heidelberg to start his life over was the right choice for him.

"See you soon, Luana." Valerie rubbed Luana's back gently, as the two women faced each other now. "You'll be at our club meeting this weekend, right?"

Luana had planned to leave the group, because she knew she shouldn't be there. Her status being exposed to Rey had been a consideration for her, but now there was a sense of unwillingness when she had to shake her head for Valerie.

After all, Luana liked hanging out and being around the long-haired woman.

"Sure, I'll come," Luana replied finally. "After all, we already bought what we needed for the club yesterday, right?"

Valerie's smile broadened, as her green irises blinked slowly.

"Then we'll part ways here," she said politely. "I need to go somewhere. Are you leaving now too?"

Luana turned to Rey, who had been standing with his arms hanging at his sides.

"Shall we go now?" Luana asked her husband.

Nodding his head in agreement, Rey smiled to return Valerie's nod, who was now actually saying goodbye to the Lueic husband and wife.

"Take care of yourself, Luana."

"You drive carefully too, Val. See you soon."

Valerie took the first step towards her car parked at the right wing of the airport, before moments later Rey draped a sturdy arm around Luana's shoulders. Leading the woman to take the opposite direction to Valerie's, Rey and Luana also planned to leave without wasting any more time.

It was almost evening when Luana sat down in her seat, with Rey who had just started the car engine.

"What do you want to eat, Luana?" Pulling the seat belt for Luana, Rey said softly. "Are you hungry yet?"

Luana still smelled her husband's distinctive perfume, as she smiled with her seatbelt fastened.

"We're not going back to the mansion today?" Luana wasn't just asking, because for some reason she suddenly wanted to eat the bacon that Mare had made for breakfast the other day.

"Do you want us to go home?"

Luana nodded, not wanting to lie.

"Actually, I want to eat bacon," the young woman said. "But bacon that Mare made. Because she cooked bacon for me once, and it was very delicious, Rey. This time, you should try it."

Rey could not help but smile followed by laughter then. How happy the nobleman's heart was to see how Luana seemed comfortable with her pregnancy, although the man had prepared himself in case Luana experienced nausea or vomiting as the man had read on the internet.

But thankfully this morning Luana did not have much trouble dealing with the nausea that came, and Rey was grateful for his wife's appetite which still seemed good.

"Alright then." Rey had already stepped on the gas down there, with his hands turning the steering wheel like a professional driver. "Then we'll just go straight home now."

Luana again nodded in agreement, then smiled happily as the aroma and visualization of the bacon she had been craving flew across her senses of smell and taste.

"Take a break if you feel tired," Rey pleaded between songs playing on the radio. "Are you sleepy?"

Luana was resting her head on the chair, but her eyes were straight ahead as she watched the streetlights flicker.

Just as she was about to open her voice, Rey's cell phone rang first. Activating the hands-free mode, the nobleman took the call from his secretary without wanting to waste any time.

"Yes, Jovi."

"Sir, are you still at the hotel?"

Jovi's distinctive voice flowed fast and firm through Rey's eardrums.

"I'm on the road," Rey replied now. "We're heading to the mansion. Are you at the mansion?"

Luana briefly glanced at her husband who could now be heard talking to Jovi, but then she returned her gaze to the outside.

"Yes, sir. I'm at the mansion, and I have something to tell you."

"Just tell me," Rey replied as the car made a u-turn. "Ah, you might as well tell Mare to prepare some bacon for Luana."

Right after he muttered his sentence, the man stole a glance at Luana who was now looking at him intently.

She thanked him silently, but Rey knew what his wife was saying.

"Yes, sir," Jovi greeted on the other side. "I think you should arrive soon, as the great lord and lady just arrived at the mansion about 15 minutes ago."

Rey was half-surprised when he heard what Jovi said, not expecting his parents to visit Munich unannounced.

Did Patricia and Ryan Lueic intentionally surprise him? Or did they have something to accomplish in Munich?

"They arrived?" Rey tried to confirm. "You mean, my parents are at the mansion now?"

Hearing what Rey said, Luana actually threw a look at the man. If she had not been paying attention to what Rey and Jovi were talking about on the phone, then now Luana turned interested.

"Okay then," Rey said before Luana could ask any questions. "Make sure they're comfortable, Jovi. We'll be here in a few minutes."

Just as Rey disconnected the call, Luana inched closer with her body straightening.

"Did I hear you right?" she asked enthusiastically. "Is Mom here?"

Rey's heart suddenly warmed, especially when he remembered how close his mother was with Luana when they visited Leipzig that time.

"Yes, dear." Rey replied as he rubbed Luana's cheek gently. "Jovi said mom and dad just arrived, and they have business in Munich. Are you excited to see mom?"

Luana really couldn't have asked for anything more than this, as she was already bursting at the thought of Patricia's warm embrace.

"I can't wait," Luana replied without missing a beat. "Did you tell them about my pregnancy?"

Rey shook his head in certainty, because he had not yet done so. Now at the thought of telling his parents that his wife was pregnant, Rey couldn't help but smile widely.

"How about we tell them all?" the man offered. "I'm sure mom will be very happy with this news."

This time it was Luana who took the initiative to grasp one of Rey's hands, as if she was channeling a feeling of happiness that she could not contain.

"I've never been happier, Rey," Luana whispered before landing a quick peck on the back of her husband's hand. "A plate of bacon and your mom's arms, it must be the perfect combination. Don't you think?"

Of course it would. What could be more beautiful than the warmth of a mother's embrace?
