Like a child getting a new toy, that's what happened to Luana on her bed that night.

Following Rey's orders to clean up first, she jumped up onto the bed and immediately grabbed her newly acquired cell phone.

Although she had never owned a cell phone before, Luana quickly understood how to operate the sophisticated communication device.

She even added Valerie's cell phone number to her contacts and sent her a message with a happy heart.

Luana Casavia: Valerie, it's Luana. Sorry to send you a message late at night, I hope you saved my cell phone number. Thank you and have a good rest.

The message she typed to Valerie was sent with a smile on her face, especially since Valerie replied to her message not long after.

Valerie Genneth: Hi, Luana. Of course I'll keep it {smile} By the way, I'll add you to our group later. Have a good rest too!

It felt like a dream, because now Luana was actually exchanging messages with one of her friends. The thing she had often imagined since long ago, finally became a reality with one swipe of Rey's card.

Luana didn't think she would be this happy, just because of an object called 'cellphone'.

So engrossed in playing and fiddling with the flat object until it was quite late at night, Luana finally woke up a little late the next day.

Rising and cleaning herself up quickly, the woman planned to approach Mare who must have been busy with her activities down there.

Pulling open the door that separated her room from the nobleman's, Luana's eyes involuntarily glanced at her husband's large bed.

And her steps came to an abrupt halt, as she took a few seconds to realize what the situation was.

'Shouldn't that man have gone to the office already?' Luana whispered to herself, filled with question marks and curiosity. 'Why is he still asleep?'

Confirming once again that the person lying on the magnificent bed was Rey, Luana decided to take a few steps forward. Her beady eyes widened when she realized that it was indeed Rey, who seemed to be still asleep with the blanket wrapped around his chest.

"He's really sleeping," Luana muttered in a low voice. "Is he off today?"

The woman knew she couldn't get an answer right away. Because Rey seemed to be sleeping very soundly, and probably did not realize Luana was there. Thinking for a moment, Mrs. Lueic finally stepped slowly out of their large room.

It was best if she didn't interrupt, because surely Rey had a reason why he was still snuggled under the covers when the sun was already well and truly up.

Descending the stairs with firm steps, Luana realized her stomach was already starting to rumble. For whatever reason, she had been holding back her hunger ever since her eyes had opened a few tens of minutes ago.

Approaching Mare who seemed to be busy in the kitchen, Luana approached and returned the warm greetings of the servants in the mansion.

"What would you like for breakfast, Luana?" whispered Mare when she realized Luana was standing right behind her. "Salad? Or jam bread?"

Luana glared slowly, subconsciously muttering uncertainly. "Do you have meat, Mare?"

Unusually for Luana to ask for meat for breakfast, Mare had turned her head to exchange glances with their great mistress. The mistress who was so kind as to consider a lowly servant like her as a friend.

"Meat?" Mare checked to see if she hadn't heard wrong. "I don't have that on the table. But I can make it for you right now. What kind of meat do you want? Bacon?"

Luana smiled happily at Mare's kind response, as she could now feel her mouth watering at the mere thought of the meat on her plate.

"That's fine too," Luana said happily. "Add mayonnaise with ketchup, and some lettuce and cucumber on top. Can you do it?"

Of course Mare could. Even if she couldn't, she would do everything for their great mistress.

"Wait in the front room," Mare said softly. "I'll deliver it for you."

Luana nodded in agreement and turned to leave. The hunger was begging to be satisfied, but it was okay that she waited a while for her morning craving.

Luana was enjoying her time watching television, when soon Mare arrived with two plates that she brought on a bright white tray.

One of them contained the slices of bacon that Luana had requested earlier, while the other plate contained fresh fruit slices that the young waitress had both placed on the table.

Smiling, Luana looked forward to tasting the meat that looked so tempting with its distinctive fragrance.

"Thank you, Mare!" exclaimed Luana, unable to hide her excitement, and wasted no time in scooping the tender meat into her mouth.

Enjoying the way the red-brown morsel almost exploded inside, Luana involuntarily jumped for joy on her chair.

"Mare is the best," she praised between bites. "Why is this meat so good, anyway?"

Eating the meat until it was gone, Luana followed up her morning meal with a piece of fruit that also looked fresh and colorful.

Just as a piece of red watermelon entered her mouth, the presence of the other two people in the room caught Luana's attention. Her beady eyes were fixed on Jovi who that morning seemed to be wearing casual clothes, unlike his usual behavior when he often wore formal suits.

When their gazes collided, Jovi reflexively slowed his pace to stop for a moment. The same went for the man trailing behind, who looked dapper in a bright salem-colored striped shirt.

"Good morning, ma'am," Jovi greeted with his body standing straight at the threshold of the stairs.

"Morning, Jovi. Do you want to go up?" Not realizing that her fingers were reaching for another piece of melon, Luana munched away, ignoring the two pairs of eyes on her. "By the way, is Rey off today? Or did he wake up late?"

Jovi almost smiled, but quickly held back so as not to cause other perceptions. Because in all the time he had worked with Rey, the man had never really been a late riser. So, Luana's guess was a little intriguing.

"Right, ma'am, we'll be upstairs," Jovi replied politely. "But Mr. Rey is not on vacation, but something happened to him this morning."

It seemed like Luana was too busy with the cut fruit that was now almost gone, as she said very casually.

"Ah, I see. Alright, just go up. Your master is still curled up in the blanket."

This time Jovi tugged at the corners of his lips to form a smile, before turning to the middle-aged man who had been behind him.

"Come on, Doctor. Sir must be feeling uncomfortable already."

Hearing the word 'doctor' in the air of the large room, Luana blinked twice. The piece of fruit had been consumed without a trace, as she now held back Jovi's steps up the stairs.

"Wait, Jovi!" cried Luana from down below.

Jovi again halted his steps, turning his head as he and the doctor reached the middle of the stairs.

"Yes, ma'am?"

Rising from her chair, Luana shuffled her steps until she was clinging to the banister.

"You brought the doctor? Is Rey sick?"

Now Luana regretted a little why she had not checked on the man earlier, thinking Rey had deliberately slept for a long time because he was enjoying his time off.

But the presence of a doctor in their mansion was enough to make Luana panic, especially since she had no idea what her husband was experiencing.

What kind of wife is she, when her husband is sick and she's eating bacon? Seriously, Luana!

"It's nothing serious, ma'am," Jovi said soothingly. "It's just an old ailment that has suddenly returned, and the doctor is here to do a checkup."

Luana was still gaping, speechless as Jovi and the doctor made their way back upstairs. After a few moments of waiting, Luana finally climbed the stairs with slow steps.

Finding Jovi at the door of their room when the doctor was no longer in sight, Luana approached with her fingers linked hesitantly.

"What ails your master, Jovi?" she asked in a low tone. "Does he hurt badly?"

Jovi, who had been checking tickets for his flight to Sydney tonight, immediately turned his attention and smiled faintly at Luana.

There was an obvious look of concern on the young woman's face, and somehow that made Jovi all the more determined to keep Beatric from returning.

"It's not bad, ma'am, and it will get better soon," Jovi replied. "The master is suffering from allergies, as his entire body is now swollen with an itchy reaction that is quite uncomfortable."

Luana frowned, feeling even worse when she heard Jovi's explanation. This was Rey's first time being sick, and even though the allergy was not dangerous, Luana was still worried.

"Ah, I see," Luana muttered softly. "It must be uncomfortable, I really feel sorry for him. I hope he gets better soon."

Luana really meant what she said, as she now found Jovi nodding slowly. "By the way, what triggered her allergy? The air, is it? Or maybe dust?"

Luana was just asking a question, and she must have regretted it after seeing Jovi's answer.

"Not that, ma'am," Rey's secretary replied again. "Mr. Rey is allergic to some types of seafood, such as crabs and shrimps."

Luana froze, with her mouth now gaping. What? Crab?!

You're finished, Luana!
