"So, what do you think of Leipzig?"

Rey's first question forced Luana to turn her head, followed by a quiet chuckle later. She had been paying attention to the rows of shops out there, skimming over every sign that appeared.

Having finished their visit at the Leipzig Grande Hall a few twelve minutes ago, the couple was now back in the car with Rey still holding the steering wheel.

"I love it," Luana replied matter-of-factly. "Not only was the Leipzig air noticeably cooler than Munich, but the noble society was filled with really nice people."

There was a smile that curved Mrs. Lueic's face, as she said her sentence just now. A smile that was neither contrived nor an act, for she had thoroughly enjoyed everything that had been presented in the Grande Hall.

Not only was there a performance of Leipzig dances and songs, but Rouletta had also given her some souvenirs.

"Your friend Rouletta is also very nice," Luana continued enthusiastically. "She showed me around, introduced me to the other guests, and it seems she has a desire to visit Munich in the near future. I said she could drop by the next time she's in Munich. You don't mind that, do you?"

Rey slowed down the car as the traffic light ahead turned red. Stopping the car right behind a bright white medium truck, Rey turned his head to return Luana's gaze.

"Of course you can. She was also one of the smartest students in our school back then," the man said. "Rouletta should have become a landlady last year, but she chose to continue her studies to the graduate level. She was an independent person, self-reliant in many ways."

Luana listened carefully to Rey's words, punctuated by a reflexive nod of her head.

It seemed like that was Rouletta's character, because Luana also felt how the beautiful woman behaved and spoke.

"Ah right, I heard you don't have an association yet," Rey said this time. "Is that so?"

Luana seemed to improve her sitting position, briefly squeezing the intertwined fingers on her lap. She did not know whether she should be honest or not, but her identity as a servant in the Collins family had not been revealed until this moment.

Not immediately giving an answer, Luana was saved because the traffic light had changed from yellow to green now.

Which also made Rey seem distracted, now refocused on stepping on the gas and running the car that had stopped.

Taking a moment, Luana is trying to decide.

'Just a little while longer, Luana,' she thought to herself. 'Just one more lie.

"Luana?"

Apparently Rey was not a question that had not yet found an answer, as the man now glanced back at Luana who was sitting right beside him.

"Yes, it is," Luana said finally. The woman's tone slowed, followed by a slow biting of her lips. "I haven't decided which society I want to go to yet."

Rey seemed to shrug, a little confused as to why Luana didn't have a society like she should.

"Didn't you join the same society as Beatrice?"

Rey did not realize that he was the one who again brought Beatrice's name into the middle of his conversation with Luana, until he regretted it later.

He should not have brought up his ex-fiancée's name, because now it was Luana who was asking about the woman's news.

"Ah, right," Luana responded as if she had gotten a breath of fresh air.

This was her golden opportunity to distract herself and ask Rey about Beatrice's whereabouts.

The woman leaned toward the noble, this time asking questions in turn.

"What about Beatrice?" she asked to the point. "Did you manage to find her?"

Luana did not look away, keeping her eyes fixed straight on Rey. Noting how the man seemed a little awkward now, characterized by the man's perfectly rolled eyeballs.

It seemed like Rey was thinking, before he answered with a loud dejection.

"Not yet," he said firmly and briefly.

Luana could be heard exhaling, then sagging her shoulders as she leaned back into the chair. Turning her gaze to stare ahead now, Luana's one hand tightly gripped the safety belt that held her body.

What kind of feelings were arising in her heart, she really did not know. Because she could not identify clearly, for the feeling that was suddenly present.

Was it disappointment? Or was it a sense of relief that she was trying to hide deeply?

There was a moment of silence between the two, until Rey was the first to speak up.

"Do you really want Beatrice back, Luana?" the man asked in a quite serious tone.

Rey did not slow down the car, but kept it at a moderate speed. He was actually eager to ask and stop the car for a moment, but he was worried that it would make Luana uncomfortable.

Luana seemed to be breathing deeply, as if thinking before she responded.

"Don't you want her back?" Luana asked back now.

She also didn't know what made her ask back like that, but it was a question that just popped into her head.

Did Rey not want Beatrice back? How badly did he want to find his ex-fiancée?

Rey was momentarily stunned, then actually slammed the steering wheel to reverse the car this time.

Luana looked surprised, because she reflexively turned her head to check what was happening.

"Why did you stop suddenly?" The woman asked for an explanation.

Rey seemed to be having trouble managing the sudden rush of breath, as the man blinked several times.

"Can you repeat your question, Luana?"

Luana frowned, not really understanding what Rey meant at the moment.

Did the man really not hear what she asked last time, or was there actually something Rey wanted to confirm without Luana knowing.

"I asked, do you not want Beatric back?" Luana repeated.

She really didn't mean anything by it, she was just curious.

Rey stared at Luana intently, while regulating his heartbeat that was already beating faster than he could control.

The pair of eyeballs met, before Mr. Lueic's voice broke the silence again.

"If I don't want her back, then what are you going to do, Luana?"

The question came out with a loud enough volume, and Luana could catch every word clearly. Having blinked her eyes several times, Luana tried to guess where Rey was going with this conversation.

Luana was still composing words to answer this (quite) difficult question, but again Rey had already opened his lips again.

"If I don't want her anymore, will you still be my wife?"
