Luana didn't know how much longer she would be stuck in this conversation with Patricia.

The more the conversation went on, the more confusing it became - because Luana was completely unprepared for the things Patricia had predicted.

There was no need to talk about actual love, because that was simply impossible for Luana Casavia. Born and destined to be a servant as she was, she never thought she would know love.

Because for this woman, love only exists for people who come from different circles. Luana never really expected she would have the chance to feel those vibrations later on.

Patricia's hand on Luana's hand still felt very soft, as the middle-aged woman smiled again now. Radiating sincerity, just like the flowers blooming in the garden.

"Consider it," Patricia said softly. "I know it may not be easy for you, but nothing is impossible in this world, Luana."

Luana remained silent, as she turned her head toward Patricia. Her mother-in-law's eyes looked shady, and Luana just thought it would be nice if Patricia really was her mother.

"All right, Mother," Luana stammered back. "I can't promise anything, because everything is in Rey's hands. But I hope that Rey can find Beatrice and put things back to normal."

Patricia did not realize that there was a heavy feeling that now penetrated into Luana's heart. Isn't that the nature of a woman? Accustomed to one thing in the mouth and another in the heart.

Luana didn't know why it was becoming difficult, especially after the word 'love' had slipped into their conversation.

Patricia gave one more smile, before turning to the dishes served by her two servants earlier.

Inviting Luana to drink the tea that was no longer hot, Patricia was distracted by another voice that sounded not far from their place.

"Mom!"

Suddenly raising their heads together, the two women of different ages looked in the same direction now. Finding Rey who was in front of there, seemed to be walking towards the direction of the gazebo they had been sitting in.

Luana took a deep breath, for some reason there was a sudden sense of tightness that came over her.

Her eyes did not move from the nobleman, who that morning seemed to be wearing a bright white shirt. A pattern of small bluish colored spots became a sweetener, successfully wrapping Rey's firm and sturdy body that was hidden on the contrary.

The man's long legs were tightly covered by a pair of light gray trousers, which somehow made Rey look even more handsome.

"You're here, Luana," the man greeted a few seconds after he approached the gazebo.

"Ah, yes. I've been here with mom since a while ago," Luana replied quietly, one hand holding the cup in front of her.

Luana didn't know where Rey had come from. Because when she opened her eyes some time ago, he was no longer beside her.

"Sit down, Rey." Patricia pointed to an empty chair, motioning for her son to join them. "Where are you from?"

Luana was grateful that Patricia had asked Rey that question, because she was also curious about where Rey had disappeared to in the morning.

"I just got back, Mom," Rey said politely. "Dominic took me to see one of the fields, and it seems to be quite fertile."

Leipzig was indeed known for its fertile and easily cultivated land, even though most of the people there did not make a living as farmers.

"Really?" Patricia sipped her tea slowly. "That's why I said you should come home more often, Rey. Munich is a big, developed city, but you shouldn't forget your hometown."

Rey grimaced softly, reflexively adjusting his hair in a repetitive motion. His mother was always like that, always asking him to come home more often.

"Alright," Rey replied quickly. "Since you seem to like my wife, we'll come home more often. How's that?"

Rey developed a smile, showing off his rows of teeth arranged in pure white. Luana gasped as the nobleman's words hit the air, followed by Patricia's glance straight at her.

The two pairs of eyeballs met again, followed by the smile that spread across Patricia's face now. Rey must have thought his charade was convincing, because he had no idea what had happened between Patricia and Luana a few minutes ago.

"Of course!" replied Patricia happily. It didn't seem contrived, because she really liked Luana. "You should come home more often. Who else is going to make this house so lively, if not you and your children?"

Luana was really surprised when she couldn't help herself and coughed. Covering her lips with one hand, Luana looked alternately at Rey and Patricia.

"Ah, I'm sorry." Luana misbehaved, with a swish in her chest.

"Are you okay, Luana?" Rey swiftly grabbed some tissues, which he thrust in front of Luana now.

Grabbing the tissue without raising her head, Luana tried to regain control of the situation. Deliberately not looking Rey straight in the eye, Luana chose to look down.

"If you're done talking, then I plan to take my wife on a tour of Leipzig, Mother." Rey's crisp voice dominated again, as he was still standing upright from earlier.

"Of course, we're done."

Patricia turned her head towards Luana, still not letting go of the smile that lingered on her lips.

Luana looked up, staring at Rey. "We're leaving?"

Rey nodded, with his arms crossed in front of his chest.

"Since this is your first time visiting Leipzig, then I'll take you to visit some places. You don't mind, do you, my wife?"

The woman's eyeballs widened again, followed by a few gasps. Luana's face wore an overly confused expression, but it seemed Rey and Patricia were enjoying it.

"Gosh, I feel so young again!" exclaimed Patricia happily, moving to pat Rey's outstretched arm. "Where did you get such a warm attitude, Rey?"

The man who was patted just chuckled. Luana's expression was like a consolation to him, as he now extended an open hand to his fake wife.

"Shall we leave now, Mrs. Lueic?"

A question that took Luana's breath away, as she hissed under her breath with her eyes sharpened.

You're putting on a show. If only you knew what I just talked to your mother about, you'd be a lost cause, Mr. Rey.

Amidst the awkward atmosphere surrounding Luana and Rey, Patricia moved slowly to get up from her seat. The big lady even clapped her hands twice with pleasure.

Patricia quickly grabbed Luana's hand, which she then placed right on top of her son's palm.

"Ah, you're so cute!" she exclaimed once more, her eyes sparkling with happiness. "Go, enjoy your time together. Leipzig is also a great honeymoon destination!"

Rey smiled back, now holding tightly to Luana's hand that was already in his. The woman's palm felt smooth and soft, although it was inversely proportional to the look in her eyes that looked at Rey half angry.

Luana shook off her clothes, rising slowly to stand before Patricia and Rey. Nodding her head, Luana excused herself to leave Patricia's presence.

"I'll go first, Mom."

Patricia nodded, not really objecting to letting Rey take Luana from there. Now the woman came closer, whispering softly right next to Luana. "Let love come Luana, you can't resist it one bit. Okay?"

Rey did the same, saying goodbye to his mother as his footsteps began to move. Leading Luana away from the gazebo, Rey briefly glanced at their entangled hands below.

Patricia's wave was still in the air, just as Rey and Luana turned the corner.

"Something's weird right now," Rey said suddenly.

The man turned his head, to look at Luana who was now right beside him.

"What's strange?"

Rey kept a faint smile, before whispering softly again.

"Your hands," the man said. "More and more, it just feels right in my hands."

Luana glared again, almost cursing because Rey seemed to have gone too far.

"Hey--"

But Rey had already looked away, pulling Luana back to walk quickly to his car that was ready in the garage.

Rey really didn't want Luana to see that he was smiling quite widely.
