Luana could only sit sluggishly, with her body leaning against the bathroom wall.

The water flowing right above her head made her whole body wet, with clothes that were still perfectly attached to her slender body.

Successfully escaping from Rey earlier, Luana sped up the steps to return to the room. Because there was nowhere else she could go, hoping that Rey the asshole nobleman would not come tonight.

The sound of cheers from the people who were partying could still be heard clearly, even though all the fireworks specially prepared by Rey had been completely blown up into the sky.

Now as the night darkened, the music in the bar grew louder. Everyone gathered at the bar that was the main venue for tonight's party, forgetting that there was one woman who was lamenting her fate in one of the inn's rooms.

Don't know how long Luana had been there, enjoying the way the cold water flowed over her body.

With her blank eyes gazing at the floor, Luana hugged her legs together with her chin resting on her knees.

Paying no attention to her gnarled fingertips, she was too deep in her own thoughts.

The sigh that escaped Rey's lips earlier was still ringing in Luana's ears, which increasingly made her feel a sharp pain to the bone.

Catching a glimpse of her messy-looking reflection that night, Luana noticed several red patches that were now clearly printed around her slender neck.

"You're done for, Luana," the woman murmured softly, her eyes looking sad.

"What are you going to do now? Your future is gone, you may not even deserve to live anymore."

Luana's lips trembled as she finished her sentence, with pieces of memory still clearly printed in the corners of her eyes.

How Rey pushed her, how Rey crushed her tiny body, and how Rey held her so tightly that she was unable to move at all.

The moans that came from Luana's lips seemed to go unheard, because Rey really did not pay attention to the woman.

"Fucking asshole," Luana whispered again. In between her jumbled thoughts, Luana was not even able to think clearly.

Her body felt so dirty, and she felt she no longer had even a shred of self-respect.

Still not moving from her position, Luana closed her eyes as the rumbling in her chest returned.

Bowing her head, the woman savored how her body felt crushed and cold, but she really had no way back.

What would her life be like? How would she continue living? And would she have a chance to build her own household?

The water flowing from the shower continued to rain down on Luana, and she was completely alone.

Jovi had no idea what was really going on.

But the man had no choice but to obey what Rey had just ordered.

Rey's personal assistant was just about to close his eyes, already too tired from the party that had just ended.

But a resounding knock on his bedroom door made Jovi jump out of bed, stagger towards the door and stumble when he saw his master right in front of him.

Rey looked a little disheveled, with his hair no longer in a neat bun. The smell of alcohol clearly wafted from the man's body, as Rey simply spoke a single command to Jovi.

An order that Jovi received at three in the morning, which inevitably had to be carried out even against the drowsiness that had already set in.

Rey was already sprinting ahead, with Jovi following close behind.

"Make sure she's okay," Rey ordered one last time, before the man jumped onto the boat.

Jovi was still frowning, as Rey had not explained why the man had returned to Heidelberg at this early hour. What's more, their mistress did not come along.

"I don't take questions, Jovi," Rey had already warned, just as Jovi's lips were about to part.

The breeze sent a chill through the air, as the island was now quite deserted. The party was completely over, and the other residents seemed to have returned to their respective places.

"Call me when you arrive tomorrow," Rey ordered again. "Do you understand?"

Jovi again had no choice but to give a nod to indicate that he understood.

Watching Rey who was now jumping onto the boat with a decisive movement, Jovi inhaled and exhaled slowly.

'Something must be wrong,' he thought to himself.

Moments after Rey entered the ship, the ship simply sped up to split the ocean. Creating a distance that began to stretch between Rey and Jovi, the nobleman really no longer looked back.

Jovi was still standing at the edge of the harbor, watching how the ship Rey was on was drifting away by the second.

After making sure the ship was sailing well, Jovi finally decided to turn around and start walking from there.

The chill in the wind made him long for warmth, pulling his jacket closer as he walked with his hands reaching into his pants pockets.

The drowsiness that had plagued him earlier simply disappeared, with the man's eyeballs already fully dilated.

The moon was still shining above, as Jovi unconsciously took a step to walk along the shoreline not far from the small harbor.

Struggling at first to get the fire going, Jovi finally managed to light the cigarette he had tucked between his lips.

"What the hell is going on?" muttered the man in the silence, talking and wondering to himself.

"Does Mr. Rey know about Miss Beatrice's whereabouts?" Jovi tried to guess. "But apparently not, because Mark hasn't even contacted me yet."

The closer the man got to the shore, the more speculations flew through his mind.

Paying attention to his surroundings, Jovi wandered around. Until unconsciously the man was stunned, with eyes that were now squinting slowly.

His pair of bluish eyes caught the figure of someone other than himself, who was not far from the shoreline.

A gust of wind blew the woman's flowing hair, as Jovi couldn't help but notice more.

"Maybe she drank too much," the man muttered again. "But swimming in the early hours of the morning like this isn't really an option."

Pausing, Jovi was still watching. Alternately puffing and exhaling the smoke from his cigarette, the corner of Jovi's eye couldn't escape the woman's silhouette, which was now becoming clearer.

The woman stepped without hesitation along the shoreline. As her feet moved, she went deeper into the sea.

Jovi frowned, trying to guess what the woman might be doing.

The woman's steps did not slacken in the slightest, even though the waves had crashed several times against her body which she seemed to be trying her hardest to hold up.

"This time, it's the woman who seems to have gone wrong," Jovi said again to himself. "Is she planning to kill herself?"
