The journey to the island did not take long. It was only about 1-1.5 hours at sea, and the ship had begun to dock at one of the smaller ports than the one in Heidelberg.

Luana enjoyed how the ship slowed down, as she did not move from her seat in the main cabin.

Rey did not join her for the entire journey. But through the corner of her eye, she could see the silhouettes of two men who chose to stay in another room. The two men were Rey and Jovi, who were apparently still busy with work.

Just as the ship came to a complete stop, Rey got up from his seat and walked over to Luana.

"Come on down, we're here," he told her.

Luana was still looking around, seeing how the white sand from the shoreline spread out to welcome them.

From her current position, she could see several gazebos with umbrellas wide open. Some girls and boys had also arrived on the island earlier, probably preparing for the evening fireworks.

Nodding her head, Luana got up to follow behind.

Walking slowly to walk along the side of the ship, Rey had already jumped first to change places. The man turned around, unceremoniously extending a hand towards Luana.

"Take my hand," the noble said. "This distance is long enough. If you fall, then it will only cause me trouble later."

Luana squinted, but she did not make a sound. Welcoming Rey's proffered hand, the young girl grasped Rey's firm hand tightly as she leapt to her feet down there.

Luana landed so well that she noticed how the sand was now on the flat shoes she was wearing.

Their hands were still clasped together, when now someone's voice greeted them.

"Hey, newlyweds!"

Suddenly Rey and Luana looked over, followed by Jovi who was also not far from their position.

"Have you arrived yet? How was your voyage?"

A man with long hair approached Rey, throwing a smile on his slightly fierce-looking face. The man's eyeballs were bluish in color, contrasting with the haughty look on his face.

Rey stepped closer, letting the man give him a pat on the shoulder.

"Everything went well, Jack," Rey replied now. "Have the others arrived yet?"

The tall man named Jack nodded his head, now glancing at Luana who was standing right next to Rey.

His bluish eyeballs seemed to scan the girl from toe to toe, followed by a smile as he noticed how Rey gripped Luana's hand tightly.

"So this is Mrs. Lueic?" asked Jack trying to be familiar.

Luana grimaced softly, casting a quick glance at Rey who was now turning his head towards her.

The woman's left hand was still in Rey's grasp, and it seemed that the nobleman had no intention of untying it.

"Meet my wife, Luana Lueic," Rey said to his friend Jack, who was also the person in charge of the fireworks tonight.

Jack flashed a smile, offering a hand to greet Mrs. Lueic this time.

Luana got Rey to nod his head slowly, as if giving her permission to return Jack's greeting.

"I'm Jack Miller," the blue-eyed man said. "Nice to meet you Luana, and I hope you enjoy the party tonight."

Luana tugged at the corners of her lips to form a smile, letting Jack greet her with a handshake now. Jack was already addressing Luana with a casual nickname, just like how the man was addressing Rey.

"Thank you, Jack."

Rey still hadn't let go of his handshake with Luana earlier, at the moment the man seemed to be planning to pass from there.

"My wife might be tired," Rey said pleasantly. "Did you prepare a room for us?"

Jack laughed for a few moments, when now the man seemed to wink at Rey.

"Of course, Brother!" he exclaimed happily. "You're the center of attention tonight, so get ready before our party starts later. Come on, I'll take you to your bridal suite!"

Luana briefly glanced at Rey, meeting his gaze as his eyes bored into her. Jovi kept his distance from the pair, standing just behind Rey and Luana in a watchful manner.

Luana brought her face closer to Rey, planning to whisper softly to the man.

"You have no plans to let go of my hand?" she asked in a low tone of voice. She had been trying to loosen the hold, but Rey's hand had only gotten tighter.

Jack had already sped up, when Rey turned her head back to him, causing their faces to be very close together.

"Nothing," Rey replied indifferently. "Just act like you're my wife, because there will be a lot of eyes on you later."

Luana still did not look away, this time squinting as she waited for further explanation from the nobleman.

Rey pulled Luana to start walking, following where the trail left by Jack ahead.

At least they had time to prepare and relax before the fireworks started, and Rey was already planning to do some exercise after this.

"You'll probably be accosted by a lot of people, and you won't be able to run away like you did at the dinner," Rey said again. "Make sure you stay under my or Jovi's watch, and don't drink too much."

The handshake strengthened as the two walked along the sand toward the island's interior.

The gentle breeze flowed coolly, making the towering trees seem to wave with their leaves moving in symphony.

Rey and Luana were still moving at the same time, when Jovi now watched the two masters from behind.

Murmuring when he noticed how his master was holding the girl's hand tightly, Jovi seemed to be lost in his own thoughts.

'Mistress Luana is the woman the master is holding onto besides Miss Beatrice,' Jovi muttered to himself.

Rey's confidante certainly knew what happened at the wedding ceremony, and he was the only one who knew that Luana was not the woman who was supposed to be their mistress.

Beatrice's absence must have left a gaping wound in his master's heart, and Jovi could more or less understand why Rey was still guarding himself from the surrogate woman.

A few steps away, Jovi gasped when the device in his pants pocket beeped.

Stopping the footsteps for a moment, Jovi took out the phone and swiped the screen with a swipe.

"Speak up," he said into the phone.

"Jov, I managed to track down your master's lover," said a man's voice on the other end.

Jovi's body immediately stiffened, but his eyes were fixed straight on the silhouettes of Rey and Luana's bodies that were getting farther away.

"Tell me more clearly!"

"One of my men spotted a woman similar to Miss Beatrice, just off the northern coast of Perth. I'm still confirming her identity. But if it is her, shouldn't you be preparing to pick her up?"

Jovi listened carefully to his friend's words. His mind was racing, wondering whether he should tell Rey this info or not.

"Confirm her identity first," Jovi pleaded. "And don't tell the others, I don't want this news to leak anywhere."

Jovi's interlocutor answered firmly, before ending the phone call.

Still holding his cell phone in his hand, Jovi's gaze did not move from Rey and Luana who were now starting to turn to the right.

Squeezing the phone, Jovi went back to his own thoughts.

"Do I have to tell you this news, Mr. Rey?" the man asked quietly.

Only the breeze swirled around him, and Jovi knew it brought no answers.

"Or should I let Miss Beatrice disappear, when you seem to be taking an interest in Lady Luana now?"
