Fanny woke up with a terrible headache.

She briefly wondered if this was a dream, but the pain in her body was proof enough for her to know that she wasn't dreaming.

Bringing her palm to her mouth, she could even feel her lips swell slightly, most likely from sucking and impatient kisses.

When she remembered what had only happened the night before, her tears began to flow again as she curled up into herself, wishing she could disappear.

How could he do this to her?

She almost felt betrayed thinking about last night.

All his actions, his touches, and his caresses were the reason she uttered those words.

However, his actions don't seem to reflect his feelings.

Michel doesn't love her back.

He touched her but he didn't love her back.

Twisting in bed, Fanny glanced toward the window and noticed that it seemed to be a beautiful day outside, sunlight illuminating her entire room as if mocking her depressed energy.

It must have been past breakfast time, which didn't even surprise her in the slightest.

She wasn't planning on showing her face anywhere outside the room anyway, nor was she hungry.

No, Fanny will stay until Andy shows up to finally take her home.

That's at least what Michel promised on the note he'd left by his bed.

He explained that he would make arrangements and let Andy fill her in once they were completed so she wouldn't have to deal with him.

She doesn't know exactly what he means, but she's pretty sure he'll most likely move her and her father to live somewhere else so any enemies of the Black Roses can't come knocking on her door.

Sliding slowly from under the sheets, Fanny got up and picked up the handwritten note, tracking the dent Michel had left by pressing down on the pen too hard.

After reading it a few more times, she dropped it back on the bedside table and went to the bathroom.

Gwen took a deep breath, knocked, and waited.

She knew exactly what she was going to do and now is as good a time as any.

However, when she didn't get an immediate response, she knocked again and then heard a faint 'Come in'.

And she didn't hesitate.

Entering the nurse's room for the first time, she found Fanny sitting on the bed, wearing black pants and a T-shirt with her hair still wet, appearing to have just showered.

Fanny looked at Gwen in surprise, clearly not expecting to see her again.

It's not like Gwen and Fanny have been close for the past four months as she lives with her family.

She'd rather spend time with Andy and Audrey, while with Gwen, she just exchanged polite cheerful words over dinner.

"Hello." Gwen confidently walked in and sat down on the couch across from her.

Fanny cleared her throat and quickly ran her fingers through her hair, trying to smooth out the knots for a more polished look.

"Hello," Fanny spoke softly, her voice a little hoarse.

Gwen had to restrain herself from giggling when she noticed the girl's red-rimmed eyes and plump face, no doubt the result of a sleepless night.

Fanny looks terrible, it makes her feel almost regretful thinking about what she's planned.

"Everything's OK?" Fanny asked, looking curiously at the visitor.

Gwen crossed her legs and tossed her hair over her shoulders.

She tries to look and act normal so that Fanny doesn't suspect anything.

But she feels very confident in her plan anyway, so she doesn't find it difficult to continue with what she came to do.

"Audrey and I were supposed to shop online, but the pregnancy made her tired. She's sleeping now, so I thought I might come to see you to see if you're ready." Gwen shrugged.

Fanny stared at her in silence for a moment, blinking a few times and looking a little confused.

During all this time, Gwen has never expressed a desire to spend time with her.

Fanny never even bothered to include Gwen in any of the dinner table conversations she was having with Audrey.

And now, after four months of actually ignoring Gwen, Fanny suddenly remembers that she's in the house too?

At that moment, Fanny tried to suppress her discomfort.

She tries to reason with herself that she's probably more frustrated with Michel's situation than with Carlos' brazen wife, so she just decides to be frank with the woman.

"Honestly, I don't see the point," Fanny said bluntly.

Gwen frowned at her, tilting her head.

"Why so?"

Fanny licked her lips and took a deep breath.

"I'm not going to spend much time here anyway. I'm going home."

"Home?"

Fanny nodded.

Gwen feigned ignorance and stood up and took a few steps closer to sit on the bed across from the nurse.

"Did they let you go home? Just like that? Did something happen?" She continued to pretend to be surprised, asking question after question.

While Fanny isn't interested in telling Gwen she's not in the mood for frivolous online shopping and spending time with Gwen, she really doesn't want to say the real reason why she needs to leave.

Instead, she chose to just offer some other explanation that sounded reasonable.

"I miss my father... and he's not well... so..."

She saw Gwen nod in understanding, but Fanny still felt strange that Gwen continued to look at her strangely.

That made her uncomfortable.

"So when are you leaving?"

Fanny sighed.

"I don't know yet. I guess they'll need to make arrangements before I can go home. If it's up to me, I'll go now." She confessed, speaking her mind.

Gwen shrugged.

"Uhm, why don't you?"

Fanny's head snapped toward the girl in front of her with a deep frown on her face.

"Yes, I'm not sure. I guess it's not safe to go like this. I really don't know."

But Gwen could only roll her eyes.

"It's all about technique anyway. Honestly, you're not the real target of this family. There are bigger fish to catch out there. If you want to go home then go home." Gwen shrugged again, making it sound easy.

Fanny was confused, surprised by the information Gwen had just given her.
