Lucifer
She kissed me. Before I could even blink, her lips were on mine.
She tip toed and wrapped her arms around my neck.
I wrapped mine around her waist and pulled her closer, kissing her back.
Fucking feelings. I didn't even know that I loved her.
But what else could explain my need to protect her?
I'd kill for her. I'd die for her.
I would live, for her.
Pulling away, I placed my forehead against hers and sighed.
I felt my mind going numb again and eventually, all of my emotions dispersed into thin air.
Staring into her eyes emotionlessly, I watched as she struggled to catch her breath.
Her eyes twinkled under the night sky. Then I became aware that the sun had hidden itself under the horizon.
It was night.
Pulling away further, I placed my hands in my pockets and took a step back.
When she finally caught her breath, she spoke.
"Where's Melissa?" She asked, looking around.
"Dead." I replied blankly, rolling my eyes.
She froze. Her eyes snapped to mine and slowly, she gave me her best angry look.
"Lucifer Zayn S-"
I cut her off by leaning forward and stared at her darkly.
The silence let her know that this wasn't a matter to be discussed.
"This isn't over." She said, pointing to me and I smirked.
"It is." I said and she huffed, crossing her arms over her chest.
Behind us I heard a noise and realized that the Ferris Wheel had stopped, so that more occupants could enter.
Fuck. I'm a pussy.
I took her hand in mine and dragged her over to it. I got in the carriage and patted the seat next to me.
She sat down, glancing at me briefly before looking away.
My face was blank. Emotion would never show unless I allowed it.
I took her hand and pulled her closer as the ride started.
Kissing the ring on her pinky finger, a secret reminder of my never ending promise to protect her.
I wrapped my arm around her shoulder and she leaned her head on mine.
The moment was silent, yet comfortable. Her hair blew in the chilly wind as the ride continued.
It was calming. Being away from people,
Having her all to myself. That's the way it should be.
I felt something cold rest on my leg and looked down to see a penny.
"Penny for your thoughts?" Her smooth voice asked from next to me and I looked at her.
"You'll need a lot more than that." I told her blankly and she laughed.
"Well, I tried." She finished.
A slight smile was left on her face. Something I could never get tired of seeing.
Then she looked up at me and her eyes twinkled under the stars.
She was beautiful.
"Mine?" I asked her and she laughed.
"No." She said and I smirked slightly,
Remembering the night I first asked her.
"What do I have to do this time?" I asked her, massaging my temple.
"Feed me." She said and I looked at her blankly.
"Always hungry." I mumbled and she punched my shoulder playfully.
"Hey! There are times that I'm not hungry." She said and I rolled my eyes.
"Sure, Baby." I said sarcastically and she grinned.
The ride soon came to an end and when we got off, I took her hand and started leading her to the exit.
"Can we get McDonald's?" She asked, skipping next to me.
I just nodded, too lost in thought to even answer.
When we got to my car, I sat on the hood and brought her closer to me.
She shivered, rubbing her arms due to the cold air outside.
I took off my jacket and gave it to her, watching as she slid it on.
She gave me a smile and I just nodded, wrapping my arms around her waist and kissing her.
When I pulled away, I realized that there was someone standing behind her.
Not making it obvious to her, I got up, pecking her lips again before I walked her over to her side.
Before she got in she gripped my face and brought it closer to hers.
She stared at me for a while, then kissed my cheek and slid into the car.
I sighed and shut her door before grabbing my gun just as the person stepped out of the shadows.
Angelo Rivaldo.
I knew him. He was the son of a bitch. His father had been trying to overthrow my Mafia for quite some time now.
And I wouldn't be suprised if that was the reason he was here.
I pressed the child lock setting on my keys, trapping her inside off the car.
"Isn't this a fucking pity case. Your father still sends his only son out to do his dirty work?" I said darkly,
Running my fingers along the engraved patterns of my gun.
"Shut the fuck up! My father loves me!" He screeched and I chuckled darkly.
"Sure, Kid." I spoke blankly. "What do you want, Rivaldo?" I asked, bored already.
"Oh, nothing. Nothing more than to kill you." He said, lunging at me with a knife in his hands.
Chuckling, I stepped aside and watched as he crashed into the hood of my car.
I grabbed him and his knife, making him stand back up.
Once he did I smiled blankly in satisfaction.
"Your father will learn his lesson after this, now won't he?" I asked and he looked at me with a confused expression etched out onto his face.
Shaking my head, I plunged the knife into his neck slowly.
I watched as more inches of the knife entered into his neck, piercing his flesh with a sickening tearing sound.
Music to my ears.
His eyes widened, as though he had just realized what was happening.
But he was too late.
Blood was already spraying uncontrollably out of his fresh wound.
He clutched onto my hand that held him up. He started gasping for air rapidly.
But I twisted the knife, cutting off all of his intake.
Then I let go of him and watched as he collapsed onto the floor.
There was no way he was going to survive this.
Rolling my eyes, I turned around walked over to my car, dropping the knife as I got closer.
I got in and glanced over at Blair to find her fast asleep in her seat.
Internally, I felt content with the way life was working out for me.
Because after all,
The Devil always gets his way.
