Lucifer
I walked over to the cashier and handed her the stuff, pulling out my card and placing it there as well.
She glanced up at me and immediately looked back down, making me roll my eyes.
Blair's sweet scent hit my nose and I felt her stand next to me.
Unlike Melissa, who clinged onto my arm. I hated that.
I glanced over at Blair who was looking down at her phone. Her eyebrows were furrowed and I knew she was upset about something.
I just wanted to hold her. Tell her that whatever it was, it'll be okay in the end.
But I couldn't do that. For obvious reasons. So instead, it grabbed her hand and squeezed it gently.
She looked up and gave me a grateful smile before looking back down at her phone.
It took me a while to actually let go of her hand and when I did, I immediately missed the feeling I got from it.
Sighing, I took my things back from the cashier and walked out of the store.
I held the door open for the girls, well mostly Blair. But I'd be an asshole to close it on Melissa.
I regretted inviting her. Things could've gone alot differently, had I just left her alone.
I could've been with Blair. Alone. We'd have so much fucking time to talk.
But instead, my ears were stuck bleeding everytime Melissa spoke.
I opened the car door for Blair, waiting for her to get in before placing her stuff on her lap.
I gave her a small smile before closing the door and was about to walk away.
But then a throat cleared from by the passenger side and I looked up,
Realizing that an impatient looking Melissa stood there, probably waiting for me to open the door for her too.
I rolled my eyes and walked away, getting in on my side and starting the car.
"Don't be so mean, Lucifer. You invited her." I heard Blair say from behind me.
And as if I was under some sort of mind control, I sighed and nodded.
I'd listen to her every command. Without asking questions.
The control she has over me is honestly fucked up. Like I can't say no.
Melissa got in and looked at me slightly. I had to stop myself from rolling my eyes again.
I started the car and pulled out of the parking lot, speeding down the road.
The Amusement park wasn't far from here, it's approximately fifteen minutes away.
Sighing, I massaged my jaw with one of my hands and drove with the other.
I sank in my seat and tried to relax, wanting to get my mind off of things.
Glancing in the mirror, I saw that Blair was passed out with an oreo in her hand.
An amused smile came to my face, but it went away just as fast as it came.
I adored the fuck out of her. In an ungodly way.
Looking back at he road, I looked over and realized that Melissa was looking at me.
"It's her, isn't it?" She asked and I raised an eyebrow at her.
"What?" I asked emotionlessly, really not interested in conversing with her.
"Her. The way you look at her. It's obvious." She said, huffing and crossing her arms over her chest.
I rolled my eyes. Some females just don't know when to stop.
"I hate her." She said and I chuckled humorlessly. But she didn't seem to catch my tone and continued.
"It's either her or-"
"Her." I cut her off immediately. Not taking my eyes off of the road.
Her eyes widened as she looked at me. Pure shock was written all over her face.
I didn't care. The truth fucking hurts sometimes.
"Okay." She said quietly and turned in her seat, facing away from me.
The rest of the ride was filled with silence. My favourite sound.
I soon pulled up at the Amusement Park and the parking lot was filled with vehicles.
But I instantly spotted an empty space and drove there, parking and turning off the car.
Melissa immediately got out of the car after spotting Aiden and I leaned back in my seat and sighed.
"That was mean." I heard her silky voice say from behind me and I smirked.
"Am I a nice person?" I asked, looking at her from in the mirror.
She leaned forward until her lips brushed against my ear. I couldn't deny how much I enjoyed this feeling.
"Aren't you nice to me?" She asked and my smirk widened.
"Give me a kiss and I'll let you know." I told her and I felt a sly smile form against my skin.
"Never kiss and tell, Lucy." She said, flicking her tongue on the skin of my neck and hopping out of the car.
I smirked at the dangerous game she was playing with me. I always win in the end.
She knows that. But that never stops her.
Shaking my head, I got out of the car and pressed the lock before making my way over to them.
When Melissa saw me approaching, she immediately latched onto my arm.
She batted her eyelashes up at me flirtatiously and I felt my breakfast coming back up.
I walked closer to Blair, who was talking to Aiden before he hugged her tightly.
She laughed and he kissed her cheek before pulling away and smiling down at her.
That struck a nerve in my heart. Seeing her with someone else was almost like a wake up call for me.
I need to get my shit together. And most importantly,
I needed to get her.
Her eyes then switched to mine and they were so full of energy that her happiness felt contagious. Until they switched to Melissa,
Who was visibly glaring at her. Blair glanced back at me and this time her eyes weren't as happy.
The smile on her face no longer reached her eyes and at that point I knew,
I fucked up.
But just like a puzzle, I'd find and put together all of the missing pieces until I got the picture that I wanted.
That I needed.
