  Lucifer

I stared at her, amazed that she would even think about running my shit.

I couldn't help the smirk that crept onto my face and I licked my lips before pushing myself off of the wall.

"Deal with me?" I asked lowly, approaching her.

Her body was barely covered by what she was wearing.

  So fucking tempting.

She shivered as I looked at her, affected by my gaze.

Reaching her, I pulled her toward me. Her chest pressed against mine and I groaned.

I wrapped my arms around her waist and she placed her hands on my bare chest.

"If he looks at you," I started, burying my nose in the crook of her neck.

"I'll drown him." I finished, pulling away and walking out of the back door.

Everyone was already in the lake.

There was a small pier on the water, where a few of them sat.

I heard her footsteps behind me and I didn't turn around.

If I turned around now, the temptation I keep trying to hold back will be set free.

But her arms slowly wrapped around my waist from behind.

Her chest pressed against my back and she leaned her head there.

"Coming, Santiago?" She asked and I chuckled deeply.

The slight challenge in her voice was alarming to my mind. She knew exactly what buttons to press.

"Lead the way, Miller." I told her, folding my arms over my chest.

She removed her arms and walked infront of me. She walked toward everyone and I couldn't help but notice the way her hips swayed when she walked.

I licked my lips and shook my thoughts away before walking after her.

She walked over and greeted everyone, while I just nodded at them, not wanting to socialize.

I was never a people person.

  Unless they were dead,

  Or they were her.

She laughed at something one of them said, the sound was angelic as it escaped her lips.

Then her eyes looked to me and something switched in my heart.

I was starting to get fed up with that. The constant pain and oddity was aggravating.

If she only knew, she'd probably kill me. And I'd let her.

She signaled for me to come closer and I stared at her blankly for a while.

Giving me her best angry look, she placed her hands on her hips.

I smirked, the amusement I received everytime she tried to control me never seems to falter.

I walked over to her and she smiled at me in appreciation.

"Lucifer, can I get you a drink?" The guy, Connor I presume, asked.

I thought about it, long and hard. I don't take well to people preparing stuff for me.

People tend to add substances to my food and drinks.

"Yes." I told him blankly and he nodded, smiling at me slightly.

"Can you help me bring out the cooler?" He asked and I shrugged carelessly.

He walked toward the house, clearly wanting me to follow him.

Sighing internally, I squeezed Blair's hip slightly before walking away.

When I got inside, he went over to the fridge and started loading up the cooler.

"You don't talk much, do you?" He asked, glancing at me briefly.

  "No." I answered emotionlessly.

"Ah, I see." He said, adding a few more drinks. "You're in love with her, aren't you?" He asked and my eyes snapped to his.

  Another idiotic human being.

But that had me thinking. I was never to type to show emotions or develop feelings for anyone.

  Falling in love? Fuck that.

But anything could change when it comes to he-

Fuck. I can't get her out of my mind.

I massage my temple and leave his question unanswered.

"I'm guessing you don't know." He stated nodding to himself.

It was silent for a while. The only sound heard was the beer cans hitting the hard plastic of the cooler.

"Anika." I said blankly, watching his cheeks go up in flames.

"What about her?" He asked, closing the cooler and looking me.

"Nothing." I shrugged, smirking inwardly with an emotionless face.

"Let's take this outside." He said, obviously trying to dodge the subject.

I rolled my eyes, walking over and lifting the cooler with one hand and placing it on top of my shoulder.

Signaling for him to follow, I carried it outside and placed it at the edge of the lake.

I opened it and grabbed a beer, before closing it and walking over to the empty pier.

Sitting at the edge, I opened my beer and chugged it down before I placed the half empty can next to me.

I sighed, getting lost in thought as I looked at everyone swimming around and laughing.

  Having fun.

But one person was missing. I instantly scanned the water.

"Boo!" She said from behind me, jumping on my back.

I grabbed her legs to keep her from falling backwards and she slapped my back.

"You're supposed to be frightened!" She exclaimed, hopping off and sitting next to me.

"Oh?" I asked, smirking and sipping my beer.

"Yes." She answered, taking the can from my hands and sipping my beer.

"That's rude, Miller." I said blankly, leaning back and looking at her.

"I'll get you another one." She told me. I shook my head, not wanting to drink anymore.

"I'm good." I stated, looking back at the water.

"Your loss, Lucifer." She said and I sighed.

"Come here." I looked at her and signaled with my finger.

She didn't bother to ask why. Instead she just leaned forward.

I smirked slightly, pulling her closer to me and kissing her lips.

She wrapped her arms around my neck but I removed them, holding them at her side.

I bit her lip slightly and before she could do anything else,

I pushed her backward into the water.

She shrieked as she fell, hitting the water with a big splash.

I chuckled as I sat there, waiting for her to resurface.

But I quickly remembered that she couldn't swim.

I dove in, swimming under and scanning the water. I quickly spotted her sinking to the bottom.

Something switched in my heart again as she appeared to not be conscious.

  Fuck.
