Lucifer
I pulled up to the supposed 'Lake House', to find a small broken down Cabin.
Sighing, I glanced down at a sleeping Blair when I parked.
Her long eyelashes casted shadows on her cheeks and her head was still tilted up.
Her black hair laid messily over her face and my shoulder.
Fucking beautiful.
She looked so peaceful. That's the only thing that keeps me at ease.
I brushed a few strands out of her face and kissed her head.
I placed her back in the passenger seat carefully and got out of the car just as Dale pulled up.
Absentmindedly, I reached into my pocket for a cigarette.
When I realized that I didn't bring any because of her, I sighed and leaned against my car.
"What the fuck is this!?" Dale shouted angrily, looking at the Cabin.
"Homeless Shelter." I said nonchalantly and through his anger, he laughed.
He shook his head and his boyfriend came out of his car.
"Dale, you paid for this?" He asked, not taking his eyes off of the house.
"Of course I fucking paid for it!" Dale exclaimed loudly, earning a smack.
Sighing, I pulled out my phone and made a call to my staff.
I doubt she'd want to stay here.
I walked away and walked back over when I was finished.
"Follow." I told them, pointing to my car.
They looked at me skeptically and I rolled my eyes, getting back in the car.
Blair's eyes slightly opened and she looked over at me.
Her eyes are one of the things I admire the most about her. The way they light up.
Something inside of me switches everytime I see them.
It feels like I'm being restrained by myself from ever being cruel to her.
"Zayn, where are we going?" She asked tiredly as I pulled out of the driveway.
"Somewhere else." I finished and she nodded slowly.
She sank in her seat and groans came from the backseat, indicating that the others were awake.
"Are we there yet?" I heard the girl ask and I didn't answer.
I hate being questioned. Explaining myself to people is worthless.
I saw Blair look over at me from in the corner of my eyes.
She gave me a look, something that I thought was amusing.
The way she controls me by just looking at me, is priceless to watch.
I looked back at her emotionlessly, not letting her see what I really felt.
How could she see good in a monster like me?
I've killed men, women, children...
My heartless ways will only ruin her.
If she doesn't ruin me first.
I drove for a while longer, knowing the roads like the back of my hand.
Soon, we pulled up to my Safe House.
I always come here in times of isolation.
I called and ordered my men to clear out the house. Making sure that they removed weapons from the naked eye.
Blair looked over at me wide-eyed and I raised an eyebrow at her.
The others got out of the car and walked to the front of the house, staring at it.
"This is yours?" She asked and I nodded.
Excitement was as clear as day on her face, making me relax knowing that she was pleased.
This house was big. Not as big as my personal home, but it was still big.
There was a lake just at the back of it. The lake was huge and the water there was filtered.
"Best trip ever." She said quietly and I smirked.
"It hasn't started yet." I stated and she rolled her eyes.
I internally smiled, eventhough no emotion showed on the outside.
She got out and walked over to the others. I sat back and watched as she walked, admiring her as she skipped gracefully.
Everyone was grinning widely and I felt nothing. Normalcy was something I'd never have.
In my entire seventeen years of existence, I only smiled a handful of times.
My father was a rough man. I remember him teaching me how to kill.
He made me kill an innocent boy. He drove by a group and ordered me to start shooting.
That memory stained my mind like blood on a carpet.
My mother couldn't stand him, so after she ran away from him,
He ordered me to kill her too.
Her brother was not pleased.
Killed my father with a knife to his heart and I stood there and watched emotionlessly.
My father got what was coming to him in the long run.
Now I'm left to deal with these fucking humans on earth while he dances in the fiery pits of hell.
Shaking my head, I snapped back to reality and grabbed my gun from under the seat.
I slid it into my waistband and got out of the car, locking it.
Walking over to the group, I put the key in the door and swung it open.
They looked amazed while I rolled my eyes and walked in.
"Seven bedrooms." I said, looking at Blair and signaling her over.
"Thank you so much, Zayn." She said, hugging me.
I froze. Affection is a disease in a life like mine. Once you get too caught up,
You're dead.
Closing my eyes, I wrapped my arms around her waist and let out a breath.
She shivered, making me aware of the effect I had on her.
"Okay lovebirds, wrap it up. Let's go find our rooms!" One of the guys shouted.
I looked down at Blair to find her grinning up at me.
"Come on!" She said, pulling me with her.
She walked toward the staircase and everyone started rushing for rooms.
When we reached to the top of the stairs, I pointed to a door at the end of the hallway.
It was black, of course. A shade I always took pride in. I held her hand and we walked down the hallway.
I pulled out the key and handed it to her and she unlocked the door.
We walked in and she looked at everything in it silently.
Then she turned to me with a big smile on her face and I crossed my arms over my chest.
"I'll trade you my lunch for this house." She said seriously and I looked at her.
I smirked and pulled her to me, kissing her head and pulling away before I got too attached.
"If you want it, then it's yours." I told her, leaning on the wall.
She laughed, probably assuming that I was joking.
Music to my ears.
I looked at her, observing the way she throws her head back when she laughs.
The way her eyes crinkle at the corner and the way she held her stomach when she laughed for too long.
Never have I ever wanted something so much in life.
But now, I'm craving her.
