  Blair

I walked through the hallway with my hoodie over my head.

Music blasted in my ears as I walked past staring people.

  They were whispering.

More or less about me, of course.

  But I didn't care.

After what happened between Zayn and I three months ago, I stopped caring.

Rumor has it that he moved to another state because the police were on to him.

But others say he was shipped to a different country because he caught a deadly disease.

  Sounds believable.

After that night, I stopped caring. Well, after a few weeks of crying and being a sad sap.

Walking over to my locker, I was about to reach for it when somebody bumped into me.

Looking up, I was met by electric blue eyes.

The guy was tall, brown skin and had curly hair.

He smiled apologetically at me, saying something that I couldn't hear.

Sighing, I pulled the earplugs out of my ears to hear what he had to say.

"I'm so sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going." He said, shaking his head.

"It's okay." I said in a monotone voice.

I turned away from him, opening my locker to try and block him out.

  But guys being guys,

  He didn't get the hint.

"I'm Brandon." He said, outstretching his hand for me to shake.

I looked at it and slowly took it, shaking his hand.

"Blair." I replied, shutting my locker and about to walk away.

"Well will I see you at lunch, Blair?" He asked, leaning against my locker.

I just shrugged carelessly and walked away to my class.

As I sat in class, I didn't look out of the window.

I was too afraid that I'd seen his face again. That would stir emotions that I successfully shut down.

After class was finished, I made my way to the Cafeteria and to my dismay,

  Brandon approached me.

"Hey." He said, giving me a smile.

  "Hello." I replied blankly.

"What has you so down?" He asked, leaning on the lunch counter.

  "Life." I answered honestly.

He nodded and got his tray back before turning to face me.

"Let's eat together?" He asked hopefully and I sighed before agreeing.

I laughed loudly as Brandon stared at me in disgust, gagging purposely.

"It was one time!" I said, trying to control my laughter.

"Who thinks a dead squirrel is a baby?" He asked, obviously horrified at the thought.

"A drunk person!" I replied defensively, my laugh turning into chuckles.

"You had to have done drugs." He said, shaking his head as he bit into his sandwich.

The bell rang, signaling the end of lunch and we both got up, throwing our trash in the bin.

"Can I take you home?" Brandon asked as we walked down the hall.

"Sure," I said, giving him a smile.

Brandon was suprisingly funny. Plus he's a good listener.

We both shared some hilarious memories as we ate, occasionally bursting into fits of laughter.

  That reminded me of Jordan.

I haven't seen him in weeks. The last time I saw him he didn't look too good.

He had bags under his eyes and he walked funny.

I broke myself out of my thoughts and tried to pay attention in class.

But that went out the window when Brandon passed outside of the classroom.

He walked back when he spotted me and started doing and weird dance when the teacher wasn't looking.

I covered my mouth with my hand as I laughed, choking in the process,

The teacher looked at me quizzically, raising a grey eyebrow at me.

I shook my head, giving him a smile before looking back outside at Brandon who was laughing.

The teacher then turned around to see what I was looking at and Brandon dashed down the hall.

"Hey!" The teacher shouted and everyone laughed.

When school was finished, I waited by my locker for Brandon, who showed up shortly.

"Hey! You ready?" He asked, tightening his bag on his his shoulder.

"Yeah." I replied, walking with him outside of the school.

He led me to his car and got in, not opening the door for me like Zay-

  Wow, wow, wow.

  Calm your panties.

We don't speak of that person anymore.

Nodding to myself, I got into Brandon's car and he started it.

It took a while before starting, considering how old it looked, before he started driving.

The car made some questionable noises on the way, making me become alert.

"So where do you live?" He asked, looking over at me.

"Pine Street." I said, leaning against the rusty door.

"Where's that?" He asked, furrowing his eyebrows.

"It's no-" I started before he cut me off.

"Wait! I have a GPS." He said, taking his eyes off of the road and leaning over.

He opened the glove compartment and started digging around.

My eyes were as wide as saucers at this point, thinking about the great possibility of us crashing right now.

"Got it!" He exclaimed proudly, leaning back up after he shut it.

I let out a sigh of relief, knowing his eyes were back on the road.

But then he dropped the old, dusty machine near his legs and as the car drove, it slid under his seat.

  "Wait! Dammit." He cussed.

At this point I felt like screaming for help.

"Forget about that. I think I know where it is." He stated.

"Alright." I said, letting out a shaky breath.

We drove for a while and I hesitantly spoke.

"This isn't the way." I stated, looking at him.

"It has to be." He said, shaking his head.

"I'm positive it isn't." I repeated, looking back at the road.

He stayed silent and soon, there was a loud bang from in the back of the car.

The car slowly came to a stop, a few meters away from a large crowd.

  A brawl.

Men were fighting mercilessly. There has to be at least seventy men in that one alleyway.

At this point my eyes widened at all of the scary, shirtless, buff men that stood before us.

Brandon tried starting the car but it was to no avail.

Then he did something God would probably face-palm for.

He honked his horn, getting the attention of the entire crowd of men.

They all turned around and everyone stopped fighting and looked up.

My heart dropped as silver eyes locked onto mine
