"So that's what Cinderella's called?"
Alan tapped Harry's forehead quickly, "It's Gabriella, Harry," he corrected. "How could you change the name of someone else's child?"
"It's a bit different." Harry scowled and then approached Ken's ear, while frowning, the man then said, "From her face, I think that girl doesn't want to be close to you."
Alan did the same, bringing his mouth to the other side of Ken's ear before finally joining in and saying, "I told you, no need to bet. You're stubborn."
Ken waved his hand in the air as if shooing away flies that were swarming over the food on the dining table. Harry and Alan reflexively backed away slowly, while exchanging glances. Ken looked right and left, right where his two best friends were. "Can't you two shut up?" before finally looking back to the front, far away at Gabriella who was still chatting with Glen at lunchtime. "Those two are just friends, the possibility of her liking me is still around ninety-nine percent. You'll see, she'll be hooked like all the girls I've slept with."
The man with the mulatto face folded his arms across his chest. His facial expression seemed to change from one of triumph to one of curiosity. Alan then raised one eyebrow and opened his voice. "Why are you so adamant about sleeping with her? You're not usually this insistent with girls, are you?" Ken looked at Alan. "Maybe ... it's not that Gabriella likes you, but that you like her first? You're in love with Gabriella, right?"
Ken gave a short snort. "Don't be absurd." He then moved on. "Instead of your mind wandering, let's get out of here."
Harry raised his hand, like a student who wanted to ask a question. "Where are you going?"
"Somewhere fun, of course. Come on!" Ken tugged on Harry's hand, making him move from the chair even though the man didn't want to. Alan, on the other hand, didn't want to be left alone, so they left Ken's restaurant and went to have fun at the nightclub.
The first time the three men met was when they were in school, which means that their friendship has been established for more than ten years. The good and the bad of each other's characters have stuck in Ken's head. Similarly, Harry and Alan knew their friend's favorite things about each other.
The best escape for Ken was alcohol and women. Alcohol to make him forget about all his problems, while women to make him feel good. Let's just say that if Ken wanted to be considered superior among beautiful women, Ken wanted to play the role of a dominant alpa who could conquer his prey.
There had been dozens of women he'd dated, most of them on one-night stands, and then the lust-fueled relationships only lasted until the next morning. None were truly recognized by Ken. Even if they were, the relationship lasted only a few weeks. Stefani, however, was a woman who could keep Ken by her side for a month. That was the longest on record for Ken, usually, he couldn't even remember the names of the women who had climbed into his bed.
"Is it pay-as-you-go or are you buying, Ken?" Harry put down the menu book, before finally looking at Ken. "If I pay for it myself, I'll just eat. I'm hungry, I didn't have time to eat before I was told to watch Cinderella, and when I wanted to order food, I was pulled here."
Ken chuckled. "So what do you order, I'll pay for everything, just relax."
"Wow, seriously?" Harry's eyes widened, looking enthusiastic. "Then I'll order food and drinks, okay?"
Alan snorted and raised his fist in the air. "You're bothering Ken!"
"Dih, Ken just relaxed, why are you upset, Al?" Harry handed Alan the menu book and gave him a big smile without any fear. "You might as well order some food now. When else would we order food in a club. Right? Usually we just get drunk, or else we order girls, but now we can order food. It's magical, isn't it?"
Ken snatched the menu book out of Harry's hand and smacked it against the top of the man's head. Harry groaned and then glared sarcastically. "What are you talking about? Here, let's hurry up and order instead of talking too much."
"Yes, yes. What a nag, Ken. Here," said Harry, pulling the menu book back from Ken.
But while looking through the food that could be ordered at the First Club, Harry remembered something. He looked up and saw Ken who was busy with the cell phone in his hand. "Uh I have an idea."
Ken only mumbled briefly without looking at Harry, while Alan immediately turned his face from the cell phone to look at Harry.
"If you want to know whether or not you're really in love with Cinderella, how about you play with a girl now?"
Ken's brow furrowed. He then glanced at the man with a big grin on his lips in surprise, then asked, "What the hell?"
"Now you go downstairs, join the dance, pack one girl. You ask her to sleep, if you feel fine, that means you're not in love with Cinderella. But, if you're still upset because of that Cinderella, it means you really like her. This is with a note, while you're doing it, while you're imagining that Cinderella is with that guy again. How about it?"
"Eh, Harry! You're talking like a train, you know, no comma at all." Alan protested. He lifted his chin, then continued, "Don't be weird about it. I didn't agree with the two of you making such a bet with a girl who really needed it. This is using falling in love. For Ken, love relationships are like farting. It's just Bullshit. Right?"
Ken looked at Alan, then frowned. Before muttering and looking at Harry. "If I could have fun, would you pay me?"
"Ah, I'm too lazy to bet again. I'm paying double," Harry said unhappily. "Yes, this is just to make sure that you don't really have a crush on Cinderella. Isn't it easier to do this bet if you don't use your feelings?"
"I'm not participating anyway," said Alan reluctantly. He then got up and looked at his two friends in turn. "I'm going downstairs to get a drink. I'm dizzy from the behavior of the two of you, all you have is money and crotch. Bye!"
Harry patted Ken's shoulder, who looked lost in thought. "So what do you think, Ken?"
"I'll go down first, I'll pack a girl first."
