Talia's POV
I was scared to my bones.
I didn't like the look in Vance's eyes. I wasn't ready, and could not ever be ready for that.
If I hadn't met Ken yet, it would have been a very different story, but I had. I was already growing to love him and our daughter.
Next, Vance tore off his shirt, revealing a very toned and sweaty body. I lost control of my thoughts and let my gaze wonder a bit, as I truthfully guessed, he had an erection.
Vance was so hard, it felt like his pants would rip.
I couldn't ease that, but I knee he was too far gone on his head to understand that.
'Wouldn't this just be playing Nadia's game with her?" I asked him. I was getting paranoid and decided to talk before I lacked more things to say.
'Shut up your smelling mouth!" He bellowed. He cast a very disgusting look at me and tore of his belt away. Nobody told you to call my Luna by her name." Vance said.
I was shocked at the turn of events. Just a few days before that, in the ride, I could swear I heard him say he was going to kill her for fucking around with Landon.
I apologised quickly and told him that I could have sex with him.
He looked at me and paused to contemplate.
I began to thank my stars for being there for me, just before he slapped me square across my face.
I felt like I saw stars. My head started to spin uncontrollably while I kept kicking and tossing and turning on the floor where I crashed so he wouldn't carry me off into the bedroom.
I seriously underestimated both Vance's strength and his list.
He lifted me up like I was some dry piece of paper and slung me across his shoulders.
I kept kicking as much as I could considering I was very weak, it didn't make an impact.
We got to the bedroom soon and he threw me on the bed.
I clutched my arms around myself, to prevent him from further having his way with me.
But something about it seemed to Vance to be a sport. He stood arms akimbo and watched I I cried loudly for him to stop what he was doing.
'Give me a second." He said.
I didn't know what to expect. I tried to gather my thoughts.
All that could count as a weapon was what I had carried out when I initially heard the knock.
But I wasn't going to go down without a fight. Vance was crazy if he thought he locked me up to be having his way with me as he pleased.
He walked back in, stark naked.
I looked away and closed my eyes, having tightened the clothes I had on around my body.
He had his belt with a lion shaped buckle in the other hand. The lion looked even more scary as it seemed to be descending on me.
I closed my eyes, ready to bear whatever came with it.
As predicted, it hit my face. Once, twice, three times, I decided not to break even as much as a yelp.
Vance wasn't pleased. As predicted, he wanted me to cry. He wanted to feel strong. He wanted me to cry, to break my spirit.
'You crazy bitch." He said, while kicking me. I could see the pain I was causing him.
'Why are you doing this to me?" I asked him. I wanted an explanation for the inhumane way he was treating me.
I had done nothing to deserve the way he was treating me.
'Don't ask me anymore stupid questions."He thundered. 'Now do you want to take them off or you'd rather have them in rags?" He asked me.
'Please, please don't do this." I kept begging him. All my pleading went to deaf ear as he tore the clothes off me with utmost ferocity.
The last time I saw that kind of fire in Vance's eyes was the same day I died.
I had PTSD from being so proximal to him. It didn't end very well the last time we had a confrontation like this.
The afternoon of the day I died. We had the wildest confrontation ever. I had hoped it would lead to me telling him that I saw Nadia bleed his child away, but he shoved me, wet into his room, and bolted it.
The next time we saw was the last time.
At that pint, he was already dripping, and wetting the floor.
I didn't know what had made Vance become a man like that.
I wished I didn't have to see him like that.
I had always thought of his choice of punishing me after Nadia's false claim as a mistake.
But with each passing day, he seemed to be more of that man. More like Nadia, and I didn't like it.
He held my neck up and I could taste blood in my mouth.
I was already beginning to feel light-headed and out of the room. The next serious bang to my head, and I'd have been gone for good, freeing Ken to be with someone who didn't have so much baggage, as I did.
'Open your mouth!" He commanded.
There was no freaking way Vance was going to get a piece of my pie before Ken did. I would rather have died than let it happen.
I made it a soIemn promise withingl me.
Ken was too sweet a man to have remnants that Vance had left over.
I but Vance hand as hard as I could, not withdrawing until I tasted blood.
He slapped me, but that only served to increase the force with which my teeth was latched to his hand.
He delivered two blows to my head, miraculously, it didn't knock me out.
I took it as a sign that the moon Goddess was on my side and decided to bite harder.
I was so engrossed in in that I didn't see Vance lift the bedside lamp with his free hand.
The last I saw was the lamp coming down on me.
After that, it was all black, totally black.
