Talia's POV

Kaels watches me shriek and change positions in absolute displeasure over the turn out of the story he is telling me.

'Luna was then taken to a cave where she was all alone by herself, with no one else." That must hurt, I thought to myself the many different ways I would freak out if by some unfortunate occurrence I found myself in such circumstance.

'Or so she thought." Kael was done with the story. Apparently my thoughts intruded. She wasn't alone?! Wow! I know this is the freaky part.

'What do you mean?" I asked him, like it's his fault that what happened happened.

'What other language would you prefer me to say it in?" He returns the energy, laughing. Bit by bit, step by step, he actually is seeming like my kind of person, someone I would be cool and comfortable around. But I have a husband, that I remember, in mated to an Alpha, and till I find my fate, and maybe get back my memory, I cannot afford to complicate my destiny.

'Just go on." I prodded him to quit the suspense and get on with what he was saying.

'After some hours, she could not properly estimate as there was no means of telling the hours apart, not even as much as a cell window to know if it was day or night, just her and her dark lonely thoughts." Kael's voice while narrating rises and falls with the varying intensity of the story.

'So there have always been very cruel people?" I say to myself.

'What do you mean?" He asks me, looking confused.

'I mean, I can now trace your lineage." I say to him, laughing.

Kael gets the joke and smiles, throwing an imaginary snowball at me.

'Well, after a while, presumably after about two days, as she begun to fall asleep from tiredness and hunger, she felt a soft hand touch the small of her back." I shuddered from mere imagination. I need to try as much as I can to not put myself in her place otherwise I'd have cried a river by the time the story ends.

'She thought it was her imagination or her state of near unconsciousness as she had not eaten anything for the length of time she had been locked up and hallucinations were becoming her reality." Kael pauses. At this rate he would actually make a good narrator of he was open to doing something else other that being a rogue and lone wolf, or maybe in his next life. 'The hand our affirms itself as reality when it slips down to her buttocks."

'She was very angry at the thought of being defiled by someone - apparently it was a person–she did not know, especially not when she was half dead with lack of everything necessary to live." He continues.

'Luna fought the hand off her lower body, and she did not feel it again. Too smart to assume it was gone, she still lay awake, waiting for what was going to happen next."

'The hand crept up her thighs, her inner thighs, but this time, she did not fight it off."

What?! How does that work? Why didn't she? My face muscles are contracting and relaxing as many different thoughts pass through my head.

'How do you know all this?" I asked him, wanting to confirm the authenticity of this story before I let it spike my feeble emotions too high.

'Well, it's the heritage of everyone with an Alpha blood. You all just worship her knowing she is the Moon Goddess, we know her for what she was before being the God of the lupine world." Well if he says, that explains a lot. At least, it's safe for me to start making assumptions.

'Alright, alright. Go on." I lost this round.

'Well, according to how she put it to her sister, who was the last person with her before she died, she thought to herself, ‘if I am going to die hungry in a dark lonely place, cast away by my father and other titled members of the pack as a propitiatory sacrifice, a ransom to buy back the peace that we once enjoyed, I might as well die happy. If not for the satisfaction from nutrition, I'll die from sexual pleasure'."

'How does that make sense?" I asked him, like, for some reason, he would know all her motives and reasons behind everything she did.

He does not even bother answering this time. He just throws me a funny glance that would probably make me keep my questions to myself when I replay it in my head.

'She actually did give in. On a perverted note, she said to her sister ‘I felt his face, his high cheekbones revealed such fine facial make-up'. Yeah, Luna was just a regular pervert, like you." He ends this note laughing, revealing his fine set of teeth.

'You realize you just shaded both Luna and myself?" I asked him, putting a hand on my chest, feigning hurt at the shade he just threw at us both. 'You dare insult her? Just maybe it's why you find yourself in this unfortunate situation." I don't know how he's gonna take my comeback, but I gave it back anyway.

'You see, to the common wolf, she's above and beyond criticism, a Goddess who deserved unquestionable reverence and fear. But to us, those of us who are above normal, and maybe a handful of other daring wolves, she is just the bravest wolf yet, nothing more." Kael says flippantly. I want to strike his cheeks with the same casualty with which he said what he said.

'Oh, so since you all are the custodians of her history, you can decide to judge her and do whatever?" I asked him bluntly.

'Yeah." He replied to me without even thinking twice. 'So yeah, your imagination can kick on now, with full force."

He gives me a very dirty and flirty smile, if not for the story he was telling, I would have double checked all the routes out of his cottage and made sure in my head that I still have all my fighting skills.
