With his house filled with people practically out of control, and with no good explanation to his friends as to why the party grew so much so quickly, Porter still couldn't bother to care. The best part of his night hasn't- As he's standing there waiting Porter sees Garret walking in with his friends by his side.

"I can't believe I'm in Porter Jackson's house!" Alexis reacts as she looks around gawking, "it's bigger than I thought"

"You're finally here," Porter walks up to them and Garret sees him. "Yeah Reggie's kind of a slow driver," Reggie nudges him.

"Alexis, Reggie I brought you guys some beers" Porter hands them the bottles, "snacks and drinks

are on the counters in the kitchen, the

dance floor is kind of everywhere. You guys make yourselves comfortable and be careful with the pool, I almost drowned in it" he looks at Garret smiling. "Garret, can I see you for a minute?" He nods and Porter takes his hand and they walk away.

Pulling Garret through the crowded house until they're upstairs where it's quieter, Garret says "they're going to trash your house I'm so sorry" making Porter chuckle.

"It's ok, you're worth it"

Looking away so Porter won't see him blush Garret asks "so where are we going?" "My room"

"Why?"

"I want to show you something" when they get to his door Porter opens it, when he switches the lights on both Porter and Garret jumps.

"Elia what the fuck!" They see Porter's ex in nothing but his underwear on Porter's bed "Oh my god" Garret reacts then walks out

"Garret wait" Porter tries to stop him but Garret heads for the stairs, going back in his room Porter

barks "what the fuck are you doing?!"

"What?" Elia grins, "you used to like it when you'd come home to find me in your bed"

"Well, now it's weird so get dressed and get out! This is the last time I'm telling you to leave me alone Elia, we're done!" Leaving Elia in his room, Porter goes back down to the party looking around for Garret hoping he didn't leave.

Going into every room he looks but Garret's nowhere, not by the pool or with his friends. But then Porter remembers Garret has hid in his house before. Heading for the laundry room, Porter opens the folded doors to find Garret on the floor leaned against the drier. Shutting the door behind him, Porter walks closer sitting on the floor in front of Garret, who's just looking down as he fidgets with his fingers.

"Is that what you wanted to show me?" Garret asks breaking the silence

"Of course not Garret I don't know what he was doing in my room, I didn't invite him" Garret doesn't say anything and Porter catches on.

"You don't believe me" moving next to Garret, Porter turns to him "I didn't invite him, ok?"

"You guys should get back together," Garret says staring at the opposite direction, "you're Porter and Elia it'd just make sense."

"I don't want to get back together with him and I don't care about making sense," taking this as the perfect moment Porter continues, "I like you Garret and I know you think that that makes no sense but it's how I feel. I'm sorry it took me so long and I'm sorry I couldn't see it

before but..." reaching over Porter gently turns Garret's head to look at him, "I do now. I see you, Garret Philbin camera nerd and all, and I like it" they stare at each other faces very close. "I don't know how else to convince you, this-"

Not letting Porter finish Garret leans in kissing him, their lips touch and there was no waiting. Pulling Garret close both boys let everything go in this kiss, they aren't reluctant because there's nothing holding them back anymore. This kiss was all the proof needed for confirmation and lack of doubt, it feels too good to lie.

Spending the night in the laundry room kissing and never minding the time, Garret's phone finally rings causing him to pull away.

Answering he clears his throat "ye-yes?"

"Hey, Gar had to take Alexis home she kind of lost her mind and had too much to drink, you'll find another ride?"

"Yeah I'll be fine" he looks at Porter, "get home safe ok" they hang up.

"It's suspiciously quiet out there," Porter says not hearing the music. They stand finally ready to leave the room, walking out they see the house practically empty besides the people passed out on the couches, and the trash everywhere. "Woah" Porter reacts

And Garret covers his mouth, "it's like a bomb of red solo cups went off in here" Porter smiles "honestly it's fine Harper and I will just clean it up."

"Harper's not here," Garret says

"What? Yes she is"

Shaking his head "no she's not, I asked her why she wasn't getting ready when I was leaving and she said she wasn't in the mood."

"Oh my god" Porter reacts, "I didn't even notice." Taking out his phone he calls her and she ignores it "you mind if we go to your house? I

need to talk to her, she's been acting weird all week."

"Yeah sure." Porter drives them to Garret's house and when they get there, they walk in to find Harper at the dining table alone on her phone.

Taking the lead Porter walks to her "hey" he sits in the chair across from her. She ignores him "what's going on with you, Harp?" She continues to ignore him

Walking closer Garret says "don't take it personal Porter she's just upset because she's finally realizing you don't belong to her."

"I'd punch you in the fucking face if I didn't want to hurt my hand"

"Hey no arguing" Porter stops Garret from replying, "we have to talk about this." Sighing Harper gets up "I'm going to my room."

"Sit down Harper," Porter asks and she looks at him and sees the serious look on his face, so she does. "You too Garret" sitting down in the chair in front of him, Garret sits between Harper and Porter. No one says anything so Porter starts "Harp you're my best friend and I love you, but it's no secret how awful you are to your brother. I'm not sure what he did to deserve that but I think he'd really like to know"

Harper doesn't reply, "it wasn't always like this, but when I came out it was like you were the only person who didn't accept it."

"What was the point of you coming out?" Harper turns to her brother "It's what you do when you're sure you're gay Harper"

"You sat here with me, mom, and dad and told us you were gay. Then later on you told me it was for

Porter, how are you gay if it was for one person?"

"The fact that I have feelings for Porter makes me gay Harper, how is that so hard for you to comprehend?"

"Well, I didn't want you to be gay!" She admits "not for my best friend at least" "Why not?" Porter asks

"Because she's in love with you," Garret says and Porter looks at him confused

"I'm not!" She denies "I'm not in love with you Porter, stop saying that Garret!" "Ok, then what is it?!"

"I didn't want you two to get together, ok?! My brother and my best friend being together is weird for me and I didn't want that, so I kept you guys apart."

"You're threatened?" Harper ignores Porter's question, "Harp if Garret and I are together that would mean me being here more not less."

"Yeah but with him, in his room not with me" "Why wasn't this a problem when I was with Elia?"

"It didn't feel like I had to fight for you with Elia, you guys had your time and we had ours." "Then that's how it'll be here,"

"You think that but no it won't" Harper tries to make them understand but they don't, "look I'm sorry for being selfish and I'm sorry I'm a dick sister to you" she looks at Garret, "but I'm right, you'll see I'm right." She gets up walking away.

Porter's about to follow her but Garret stops him, "she needs time" he says as they stand up. Garret walks Porter out to his car, "I'll prove that I can be her friend and be with you at the same

time, there's enough of me to go around" he smiles and they stop next to his car.

"This is just feeding into your ego isn't it?"

"Maybe a little" they laugh moving closer, "even though that was a mess I'm really happy." "Yeah? Why?"

"Garret Philbin believes I like him, and I think he might actually want to be with me" "Maybe a little" Garret replies and they chuckle meeting each other's lips.

After they kiss Porter asks, "you two will be ok?"

"I think so, Harper just needs time to get used to the idea"

"Ok, I can come back tomorrow and we talk about it some more."

"You should probably figure out how you're going to clean your house first"

"Oh god" Porter groans, "don't remind me." He leans in kissing Garret again "I should go" "Good noon, Porter Jackson"

Laughing Porter replies "good noon, Garret Philbin."
