"Now little princess, shall we go?" He asked whilst igniting the engine.

"Yess!" She gave him a toothless smile then looked at me. "Mommy, where are we going?" As expected she asked the question, which made me groan playfully.

Kayish gave me a 'what's going on' look but I shook my head. She is always curious to know where I am taking her whenever we go out.

"Hospital." Kayish replied, his eyes solely on the road. Well his responsibility level has been increased twice.

"Why? Is anyone hurt?" She pouted her lips, her innocent look brought a smile to my weary face. Just two questions and I felt all my energy was washed out.

"No baby, no one gets hurt. We are going to check how far our small baby is doing." I kissed her hair; pregnancy dragged me more closely towards my daughter.

"Ohh." Her mouth formed in an 'O' shape. "I'm so excited!!" She giggled clasping her hands together.

After one fine hour of driving, we reached the hospital at 4:45 pm. Kayish lifted Sweety in his arms and interlinked my finger with him. With that, we walked inside the hospital as a perfect couple.

"I'm going to apply the gel, it feels slightly cold." Dr. Stella Quartz warned me before applying the gel to my abdomen. She is the best doctor in New York that Jack recommended to us.

I held Kayish's hand so tightly when I felt the cold sensation on my abdomen. Though It's not my first it feels new to me.

"You okay?" He asked worriedly. I wanted to laugh at his face. What can I say? Look at him! He is in the uttermost shock, like, his wife is in labour. Oh, God! How he is going to handle the situation when I have my labour pain? Crap! I think Sweety is better than him.

"Yeah! I'm fine." I assured him, hiding my laugh.

"Look, this is your baby." The doctor pointed her finger to the screen where I could see the small bean-shaped figure. It is so tiny, my heart mellowed seeing my peanut.

During my first pregnancy, I took the ultrasound sound when I was in my second trimester and I missed a lot of my babies' growth.

"Our baby," Kayish whispered and kissed my forehead in nth time. "Yes, our baby." I whispered back.

"Okay, now we are going to hear the baby's heartbeat. Are you ready?" We both nodded our head eagerly waiting to hear our baby's heartbeat.

She moved to the monitor and pressed the button, immediately the room filled with the normal rhythm of our baby's heartbeat, it was the music to my ears. We smiled looking at each other, unknown emotions flood through his face that I could clearly read, regret.

He is regretting because he missed our first baby's everything but he doesn't know that I too missed their everything. Whom shall I blame?

"The baby is doing well in her momma's womb but Riya you have to take care of your health more attentively." She removed the pair of gloves from her hands and set them on the table.

"Don't worry doctor I will take care of her." Kayish replied thoughtfully pecking my lips.

"Okay fine. I will give you medicine. Nothing more, just don't get stress and take the medicine on time." She wrote something on plain paper and handed it to us.

"Sure, thank you, doctor." Kayish shook the doctor's hand politely.

"Where is Sweety?" I asked Kayish while we both walking out of the room after finishing all our formalities.

"She is in a safe hand." He squeezed my hand.

"Huh?" I gave him a confusing look.

"I met our colleague Sara Mane in the hallway, she is here to meet Dr. Stella Quartz." He shrugged his shoulders.

"Ohh!" that is what I managed to say but the question didn't fail to arise in my mind about what her doing here. I mean she is from London and from my assumptions she has no relative here in New York.

We walked further towards the hallway until we met Sweety who was playing happily with Sara, her mouth was smudged with full of chocolate. Oh, God! Why everyone gives her chocolate, I groaned internally.

"Relax! One Chocolate won't harm her." Reading my mind Kayish answered as a prophecy.

"Hi, Sara. Nice to meet you." I smiled and stretched my hand for a handshake.

"Hey, Riya!" She sounds unsure, but why?

"Huhhm." She shook my hand but said nothing except that 'huhhm'.

"You okay, you look pale." I asked because right now she seems to like to lose all her colour, and point to be noticed, it happened after meeting me but I had nothing to do with her. She was my neighbour once a time when I was living with my so-called parents. Other than that we don't have any history and she is a nice girl.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine." She Laughed nervously and her eyes glued somewhere behind me.

"Sara, come on. It's our time to meet Dr. Stella." My body shuddered by hearing that familiar voice. I snapped my head in the direction of him and more like to my dismay I meet him after a long time of my life span.

He stopped on his spot like he saw a ghost whilst his eyes were widened like a panda who unable to believe I'm right in front him, more likely healthy and alive. He must have gotten disappointed because I still have my breath; the cursing words he had given four years ago didn't work on me.

What a bad luck?

Voluntarily, I dragged Sweety from Sara and hid her behind my back as all of a sudden I wanted to protect her from the prying eyes. Sensing my uncomfortable state, Kayish picked her up in his arms but to my surprise, he is calm like a sea. Aren't they like a wolf and hunter?

"Riya." He called my name when I was about to turn my heels to walk away from his sight. I feel disgusted standing under his stare, I really hate him to hell.
