"Dad will pick you up from your school." Her face lit up and she started to jump up and down squealing in her baby voice.

"Daddy is coming to see me!!!!" She squealed repeatedly with happiness.


"Okay, come. Your bus has arrived." She put her bag immediately. I made our way towards the bus as soon as we climbed out of the elevator.

I held her tiny hand within me while she was walking by herself. I feel bad for not being able to carry her in my arms.

My doctor suggested me not to lift anything heavy until the completion of my first trimester.


"Bye, Mommy!" She waved her hand when the bus started to move. "Bye!!" I waved back, the moments felt like it's her first day.

After that, I prepared myself for office. After a fine 30 minutes of traveling between the traffic, I reached the office on time.


I glanced at my wristwatch and it showed 10 AM. I don't think I'm on time. "Good morning, mam!!" Payal greeted me as usual when I walked past her.

"Good Morning!" I greeted her back and walked towards the elevator.

"Mam." The security guard called me, stopping me in my track.

"Yes!!" I raised my eyebrows at him.

"Please use a special elevator. Sir strictly told us to inform you." He said unsure of his words.

"And why?" I folded my hand, waiting for his reply.

"We were not given the reason why. We were informed to pass the information only." He explained. Arguing with him not going to make sense.

"Okay," I said and entered the special elevator he asked me to use. I don't know what is special in this elevator except for the fact that only he and the clients are permitted to use this.

"Hello, Mam!! This is your juice." A girl I haven't seen her before in this office handed me a glass of juice.

"I was informed to give you a juice once you arrived." She reasoned out for my unasked question when I gave her a blank expression.

"Thanks." I dismissed her.

What did he get into his mind? I twisted my lips before took a good look at the glass. It's my favourite Mango juice. I gulped down the whole glass not having the mind to ignore the juice.

Come on!! I started to crave for more food, it's common in pregnancy so you can't blame me.

"Hi!! I hope you are doing well." Harith wrapped his hand around my shoulder for a warming hug.

"I'm fine," I said once we pulled apart.

"This is for you." He gave me a bouquet of red roses.

"Aww! Thank you!! So nice of you." I inhaled the smell of fresh roses before setting them on my table.

"Okay then, I'm leaving. I just wanted to check you in person. I have an important meeting to attend." I nodded my head as comprehension and watched him until his back faded out of my sight.

I'm expecting someone's visit here but she has not arrived yet, her place was empty when I passed her place.

All of a sudden I felt hungry and my stomach grumbled loudly letting me know that I need to quench my baby's hunger. Thank God no one is here. I closed the file and made my way towards the cafeteria.

When I reached the food café, I heard some murmuring from the employees who were not aware of my presence.

"Do you heard that our boss hired a new P.A?" One of the employee's statements got my attention.

Usually, I'm not interested in butting myself into other's business but when it comes to Juliet and her job it's my main concern.

"Yeah, I heard that too. It seems he fired her again. Last time, Miss. Kader was there to support her, but now who is going to help her?" Another girl asked while sipping her tea.

"Who knows?" They both chuckled and continued their business whatever they have been doing before I came.

I turned my heels and made my way to Juliet's cabin and there I saw a new girl who was arranging all her stuff on the table.

"Where is Juliet?" I knocked on the table more than necessarily making her jump out of fear.

Her eyes widen in shock when she saw me eyeing her up and down. "I don't know. It's my first day." She replied in a panicked voice, at that time I feel bad for treating her like this.

It's not her place to answer my question. I know where I would get the answer.

I furiously walked into his office but dead stopped in my track when I saw Juliet was standing right beside him having a file in her hand and not to mention wearing a thousand watts smile on her face.

What's the reason behind her smile?

"Is everything okay?" They both turned their head to the source of my voice and found me standing in front of them as watching their drama with the folded arms.

"Riya!!!" Juliet called my name before running towards me.

"I'm so happy, it feels like I won a jackpot!!!! A Fucking jackpot!!!" She engulfed me for a bone-crushing hug.

"Juliet!!! You are crushing me." I managed to say. Instantly, she unwrapped her hand as gradually releasing me from her strong grip.

"My God! Are you planning to kill me?" I intake how much air I can able to fill my throbbing lungs.

"Oh! Ohh... I'm sorry, Riya." She said sheepishly, those thousand watts smiles are still on her face.

"What's the matter?" I asked narrowing my eyes at her. I didn't get the point of why is she smiling ear to ear when she is the one who lost her job. How it could be happy news to her?

"Riya!! I got promotion." She jumped like a child clutching the file very close to her chest which reminding me of Sweety in the morning as to how she jumped out of happiness when I informed her that her dad is going to pick her up from her school.
