Atlas POV
Disoriented, I struggled to stand from the charred ground, my ears rang and a muffled silence enveloped me. Through the thick smoke and raging flames, I strained to see and catch a hint of Mia's scent. Bryn's voice echoed, chanting spells to clear the chaotic scene. Finally, I spotted Mia and Thora lying motionless on the ground.
My heart pounded wildly as I sprinted to Mia's side, her consciousness fading. Gasping for breath, she managed to utter, "Thora... She's still alive... kill her." Determination surged within me as I turned towards Thora, struggling to rise. A deep growl rumbled in my throat - a desire for vengeance taking hold.

With the help of Bryn, Flint, Crimson, and Bram, we gathered around Thora, ensuring she would never cause harm again. Bryn's gaze locked with Thora's helpless eyes, and she chanted a spell. A surge of power coursed through Thora's body, causing her to stir as I gripped her with my claws.
"Kill her for the suffering she's caused, especially to your mate." Bryn spoke as I lifted Thora’s body from the ground. Biting into Thora's neck, I tore out her throat, swiftly separating her head from her body. I tossed her remains to the ground.
Bryn continued her incantation, igniting Thora's lifeless form in a blazing inferno. As the flames danced around us, I shifted back into my human form. We all knew that Mia was the one who essentially ended Thora's life with her earlier blast. Now, we had ensured she would never resurrect.
I went to Mia, and I lifted her fragile body into my arms. "Atlas, I'm..." Mia began to speak, her voice filled with exhaustion. But then, she went limp in my embrace, her body growing still. Panic surged through me as I called out her name, my voice echoing through the forest.
"Her wolf is in a deep sleep," Brutus, communicated telepathically. "The power within her, the bond we share, it has almost completely vanished. For now, she is just like a human."
I held Mia tightly against me, the weight of her vulnerability resting heavily on my chest. "Her wolf will wake," I reassured Brutus in my mind, refusing to believe that Mia would not recover. "She may not, and if that happens, we must be there for her. She will need us more than ever."

"You fought until the very end, Mia," I whispered against her, my voice filled with admiration. "You held on, not allowing her to break you. You are amazing and so strong. Rest now, and I will do everything in my power to ensure your wolf wakes."
As if sensing the urgency of the situation, Crimson, found a blanket and gently placed it over Mia in my arms. The fabric provided some warmth, but her body still trembled while we slept. We made our way out of the forest, confirming Thora's demise one last time.
Once inside the car, I held Mia close, my arms wrapped protectively around her. I tried to keep her warm. The scent of the forest still clung to us, but Brutus insisted that something was amiss with Mia's scent.
"Her scent, it is off," Brutus declared, his voice filled with concern. I leaned in closer to Mia's body, inhaling her unique scent, hoping to find some answers. And then, Brutus dropped a bombshell.

"Mate is with pup," he revealed, shocking me to the core. I gasped, the sound catching the attention of everyone else in the car.
"What is it?" Flint asked, curiosity lacing his voice. I struggled to find the words to convey the unexpected revelation.
"Brutus insists Mia is pregnant," I finally managed to say, my mind reeling. "But how?" I muttered, my confusion evident. Flint sighed, breaking the tense silence that had settled over us, and cleared his throat.
"Please, don't tell me I need to give you sex education," Flint joked, his voice laced with a hint of amusement. Confused, I muttered, "No, I mean she was not in heat." The air was thick with tension as I struggled to comprehend the situation.
"I'm only giving you this lesson since you were raised human, but for werewolves, heat can be triggered by certain situations," Flint explained, his voice steady. "Like when Mia was held captive, it's not that she enjoyed Leo kissing her or anything, but that may have triggered her heat. And then, with the crash and the wolfsbane, it would have made it hard for you to sense her heat. Assuming this is when it all happened. But based on her healing fast, I figure you slept with her."
My heart pounded in my chest, the sound of it echoing in my ears. "If your lycan senses it, then she is pregnant, Atlas. And since he can sense it, that means the pup is fine for now," Bryn chimed in, her voice filled with concern. The weight of the unknown hung heavy in the air as we raced towards the Lycan kingdom.
"I hate to add stress, but we have no idea about Mia's condition until we get her to the palace so I can examine her better," Bryn continued.
"I already understand. I've read the history on the breeders, and they had their wolf to try and help keep them strong. But Mia's wolf sleeps. This pregnancy may very well put her in danger yet again," I spoke, my voice trembling slightly.
"We will get her home, Atlas, and we will find a way to keep Mia and the pup safe," Bryn promised. The roar of the engine filled my ears as we sped towards the Lycan kingdom.
Once we arrived, Leo had already prepared a room for Mia. As we rushed her into the room, Bryn asked us to stand back so she could examine and dress Mia. I hated not being next to her, especially when she needed me the most.
"What happened at the cave?" Leo asked me. "Mia happened," Flint responded before I could. "We didn't consider the fact that she had the power of the other white wolves in her. She was basically like a bomb and took your mother down. All we had to do was make sure she was finished off," I admitted.
"How is her memory?" he then questioned. "She remembered me, but she passed out before we could talk much," I explained as Bryn walked back over. She was typically cheerful, yet you could see the worry etched on her face.
"What is it?" I asked, my voice shaky. "Mia is indeed pregnant, not far along, so the assumption of this happening after her crash is most likely correct. As you already know, Atlas, she is like a human in many ways right now. Although she has experienced her wolf sleeping before, she could at least sense her wolf. But if she wakes, she won't feel her wolf at all right now," she started.
"If," I stammered. "She is in a comatose state, Atlas. Her mind was severely messed with," Bryn explained.
"Then send him into her mind," Leo interrupted, his voice full of emotion. "Send Atlas into the depths of her mind to bring her back because if you sense the damage that is done, if he does not pull her out, she could remain like that," Leo insisted as he walked over to the table.
"I had already prepared the ingredients when we did not know how her mind would be. All you have to do is cast the spell," he explained to Bryn. "Thank you. Atlas, get in the bed with Mia. I will cast the spell and then leave you with her," Bryn explained as Leo left so we had privacy.
"Mia is okay to be intimate as well, Atlas. I only say this as it may be one way to help her. I trust in your judgment with her. The potion Leo made will put you in a state in between sleep and awake. What you need to do is try to pull Mia forward as she is lost deep within the depths of her mind. You can see and hear her when you close your eyes once taken and I cast the spell," Bryn explained and chanted several words and handed me the vial.
"Bring her back to us, Atlas. No matter what it takes, bring her back," Bryn explained, and for the first time, I saw the tears in her eyes. "I promise I will," I said to her as she left, so I was alone with Mia.
I pulled her gently against me, her body pressing softly into mine. With the potion in hand, I took a sip, and suddenly, my mind was transported to a dimly lit, cramped room. As I scanned the room, my eyes landed on Mia, who sat huddled against a wall, her head buried in her hands. The room seemed suffocatingly dark, amplifying the weight of the situation.
"Mia," I whispered, cautiously approaching her. "Please, stop playing games with me. I can't bear much more of this." Her cries tore at my heart as I sat down beside her, careful not to trigger any further distress. "I didn't come here to torment you, Mia. I came to bring you back home. Thora is dead because of you," I explained, hoping she would understand.
She lifted her head, opening her eyes to meet mine, but immediately, she clutched her head in pain. "Please, tell me what's wrong, Mia, so we can help you wake up," I pleaded. "It hurts, Atlas," she murmured, her voice filled with agony. "It hurts when I try to focus on my memories. How do I know if you're real?" Her uncertainty pierced through me.
Reaching out, I gently took her trembling hand in mine. "Focus on my touch, Mia," I whispered. "Can't you feel the warmth it brings?" Her response was disheartening. "I feel nothing," she whispered, her words heavy with despair. But then, a thought struck me. Since I was still awake in the real world, I slowly moved my hand under her thin nightdress, resting it on her belly.
"How about now, Mia? Can you feel me?" I asked, my voice filled with hope. "Not just me, but can you feel the little life growing within you?" Her body began to quiver, and her eyes met mine. "Yes," she responded, her voice barely audible. "Do you remember when you unleashed all your power and said 'my forever'? And when I held you before you passed out, you tried to tell me you were carrying our pup? I understand now what you were trying to say," I explained, my voice tinged with realization.
She nodded, tears streaming down her face. "I felt so lost, Atlas. I heard your voice within my fragmented memories, but I couldn't remember who it belonged to. But then, I felt something within me, something that connected us and helped me hold on. I felt our pup, a symbol of our love, and it kept me from forgetting," she cried.
"You will wake up, Mia. I will help you get better. We will get married and start a family with our pup," I declared. "I just need you to focus on coming back to me, Mia. Focus on my touch." As I moved my hand against her, hoping our connection would bring her back, I held onto the hope that our love would guide her back to reality.
"Mia, when I open my eyes, I'm unsure if I can return to where you are. But I know how to wake you now. I just need your permission," I began, but she interrupted me.
"You already know, Atlas. You've always had my permission. I belong to you, just as much as you belong to me. Help me reconnect with my body, Atlas," she said, her voice filled with trust.
I opened my eyes once more, taking in the scene. I undressed myself and gently removed the night dress Mia wore. As I touched her, I could feel the warmth of our love, the connection we both craved. My lips traced a gentle path across her skin, hoping that this would be the key to awakening Mia.
In my mind, Brutus demanded, "Mate her." This time, I gave in to his request. My hand moved towards her sensitive area, ensuring she was ready. It felt strange, as she was still asleep, but I had a peculiar intuition that this was exactly what she needed to awaken.
As I pushed my fingers into her, I finally felt a small response from her. Moving my lips back to hers, I kissed her softly, whispering, "Wake up for me, Mia." Breaking the kiss, I positioned myself, longing to see her mesmerizing eyes looking into mine.
"I want to witness the beauty of your captivating gaze," I whispered. With that, I thrusted into her.
I heard it right as I filled her. Her sweet voice whispered my name. Her eyes fluttered open and she looked at me. My love, my eternal forever.
