When he asked me if Luke’s death would change my mind, I panicked, but I couldn’t let him know that I was worried about Luke Skywalker. So, I stayed silent and never said another word. I just looked at him and waited for him to elaborate on his statement.
“What do you think, Isabella? Should I kill Luke Skywalker?”
“And what about your sister? Do you still she will be okay with it?” I responded with a question and Jimuel flinched. At that moment, I realized that he valued his sister’s happiness more than anyone else. “I’m sorry if you suffered in the past because of werewolves, Jimuel. If you are not going to kill me now, then, will you put me back into the cage?”

I had several questions but he didn’t dare to answer any of them. He just stayed silent and stared at my face. Then, he raised the tip of his eyebrows before opening his mouth to speak.
“Why? Are you excited to go back to the cage?”
Excited? It was much more like being terrified. It was frightening at first but I learned how to handle it too well. I already accepted my fate in the hands of Jimuel, and death was inevitable.
If only the world wasn’t so cruel to me. Why the Moon Goddess give me a second chance to live only to be killed by a hunter like Jimuel? Then, a sigh escaped from my lips.
“Rest for now, I will be back later,” he said after letting me use his bed.
As I was lying in his bed, I could smell his scent on the sheet. He always smelled good, and then while I was tossing and turning on his bed, I suddenly felt comfortable. Why? I should be wary and terrified!

After several days of being curled up inside the cage, I was finally on a comfortable bed, but regardless of the soft mattress, I couldn’t bring myself to sleep.
I was lost in my thoughts when the door suddenly opened. It was Jimuel again, and there was a tray in his hands. It had food on it, and I wet my lips while staring at the food on the tray.
“Is that for me?” I asked.
“I’m sorry for starving you, Isabella but I was blinded with anger when I learned about your true identity,” he said.

For the second time, he freed my hands so that I would be able to feed myself, but being chained for a long time made it challenging for me. I glanced at Jimuel and tried to read his facial expression, but ever since he had me, he only gave me two kinds of expression.
Cold and ruthless. I knew he would never hesitate to kill me if he wanted to. I could still feel his intention to kill me, and it seemed like there was a dark bloody red aura around him.
“Let me feed you. Open your mouth or you will starve,” he said while putting the right amount of food on the spoon.
It was embarrassing but still, I opened my mouth and let him feed me. As he was assisting me to eat, Jimuel looked different from yesterday.
After eating, he set aside the tray and then he grabbed a chair, and placed it closer to the edge of the bed. Then, he crossed his arm as he started questioning me about the people in Pembroke.
“As I have told you already, I don’t have anything to say to you, Jimuel. When it comes to family, my mouth is shut. So, if you want to kill me, you have to do it, because I wouldn’t hesitate to kill you once I am out of here,” I warned him.
But then as I was thinking about it, I was almost tempted to tell him about the pack that belonged to Aric Stormheart. After he tried to unalive me, I would have my revenge, but the killing didn’t happen yet.
“Start talking and stop wasting my time, Isabella!” he shouted while glaring at me, and I was startled.
I clenched my hands into a fist even if I wouldn’t be able to do anything against him. All I could do was glare at him, and then I felt bad for Selene who believed I would be able to do some great things in the future, but I couldn’t even fight against silver.
Damn!
“I told you to just kill me!”
Using his strong hand, he quickly wrapped it around my neck and my mouth gaped open as I tried my best to breathe. He was trying to choke me to death even if he knew it wasn’t enough to kill me. How could he be so cruel?
“Stop commanding me, you bitch! Stop asking me to kill you because I might just do it!”
“You are a coward, Jim. Just accept it for yourself!”
“I am not a coward, Isabella. I am just waiting for the right timing to kill you because I want you to suffer before dying,” he told me. “I waited for this so long ago, Isabella. So I cannot miss this chance to make you suffer. I need to get my revenge!”
“Jimuel…,” I mumbled his name.
“The likes of you killed my Mom, and the memory of that day is still vivid in my head. I still remember how she tried to get away from that beast but he was so strong, and my Mom couldn’t do anything about it. Can you imagine watching your Mom being killed in front of you, Isabella?”
“I’m sorry, Jim. I can’t change the past but not all werewolves are savages. There are good werewolves,” I told him.
“I don’t think so, Isabella,” he shook his head to deny my claim that not all werewolves were the same.
“Jimuel, please! Will you please listen? Have you ever considered the consequences of your actions now? Alright, let’s say we are savages, then what do you think will happen when my parents learn about my disappearance? Do you think they will stay put and not do anything? You are just giving them a reason to hurt humans like you,” I tried to convince him that taking me captive wasn’t the best idea to avenge his Mom’s death.
And then, while we were having a conversation, we both heard a massive explosion out. I sniffed the air and I could smell other werewolves nearby. For a moment, I panicked and tried to stand up.
“They are here! Go, Jimuel. Leave this place and make yourself safe,” I told him, even if I didn’t know why I wanted him to be safe. “Go!”
“Fuck!” he cursed.
