When Jimuel dragged me to a vacant table, I couldn’t complain. Then, he ordered for hot chocolate and blueberry cheesecake without asking for my preference, but fortunately, I liked the blueberry cheesecake.
So, while waiting for the orders, I had no choice but to be nice to him, although, I tried my best to ignore the creepy smile on his face. I couldn’t explain it but to me, he seemed untrustworthy, or I was just overthinking again.

“Why are you so gorgeous today, Isabella?” he asked all of a sudden. “I mean, something had changed in you. Was it the contact lenses? Your eyes looked bluer than before, and it’s more expressive now.”
I smiled at his compliment, and although I wasn’t as frightened as the first time I met him, he still gave off that weird feeling. Aside from that, Luke warned me about Jimuel.
“Thank you, Jimuel, you look handsome as well,” I said but he just smirked.
“I know, Isabella. It runs in the blood, so how about spending tonight with me?”
“Where?”
“In my bed,” he said without any hesitation, and I clenched my jaw upon hearing his dirty proposal.

“I’m sorry, Jim, but I am not that kind of a woman. I don’t do casual sex,” I told him and he crossed his arms in response while leaning on his chair.
“Why? Is it because of Luke Skywalker? Is he great in bed? I heard you work for him now. Does he pay you well? I can give you more, Isabella. Besides, I always get what I want,” he claimed, and I wrinkled my nose while listening to him.
For a moment, I wanted to tell him that I could give him more money than he could imagine, but then, I chose to restrain myself because a waiter bringing our order was approaching. But seriously, I was really disappointed with Jimuel!
“I thought the rumors were just rumors, Jimuel, but you just proved to me that they were right. By the way, I am not someone you can possess just because you want to have me. Thanks for the cheesecake but I hope we don’t bump into each other again,” I said while taking the cheesecake from the plate before walking away from him.

I could leave the cheesecake there but then, it would be a waste since I already thanked him for the treat. I left him as soon as I realized that Luke’s warning was not a joke.
I searched for another coffee shop to have coffee, and when it was time to go home, I just hailed a cab. It was almost seven in the evening when I got home, and Luke immediately approached me with a disappointed look in his eyes.
“Where have you been, Isabella? I have been searching for you!” he complained.
“Then, do your job better next time, Luke. You are my bodyguard, so you should stick with me all the time,” I reminded him.
“So, where did you go this time? I told you it’s dangerous to be alone!” he yelled in a controlled voice.
“I just had coffee,” I replied.
“We have coffee here,” he said while shaking his head. “Did you just lie?”
“What are you talking about? Am I not allowed to visit my favorite coffee shop in town?” I asked him while trying not to stutter because he appeared too scary at the moment.
“To have coffee or to meet that bastard? Don’t try to deny it, Isabella. I saw you with Jimuel, and it seemed you were flirting with each other!”
I wanted to argue but then my eyes went blurry as tears started rolling down my cheeks. But before he saw me crying in front of him, I ran away from him, and I didn’t bother to look back regardless of what he kept calling me.
I went straight to my room because the pain was killing me. I could hear my wolf whimpering inside me, and it felt like my bones were about to break. Then, all of a sudden, something inside me changed!
My body became hot! Was it the heat cycle that the doctor mentioned before? Previously, since I was wolfless, I hadn’t experienced it in my first life. Instead of lying down and feeling sad, I hurried to look for the box of suppressants, but then, I couldn’t find it!
How could I survive the night without the suppressant?
My wolf growled and my canines were growing inside my mouth. When I glanced at the nearby mirror, I saw myself in the process of transforming into my wolf form. I was in the middle of shifting when the door suddenly burst open, and my eyes widened upon seeing Luke.
“Luke,” I mumbled his name before everything went dark.
Although I was unconscious, I could hear him calling my name, before he helped me into my bed. His voice was filled with concern, but in my mind, I was more worried about my condition.
When I was about to transform earlier, my clothes became tattered so he probably saw my nakedness when I resumed my human form. Oh shit, how could I face him again?
I couldn’t explain what happened because it wasn’t the first time I transformed into my wolf form, and nothing like that happened before. I was just fine before why did I lose my consciousness earlier?
After regaining my consciousness, I was torn between him the truth or not, because to be honest, I was enjoying the attention he showered toward me. He was so concerned that he didn’t leave my side.
In the end, I fell asleep, and the next time I opened my eyes again, the room was too bright, but then, I saw him again. I frowned as I glanced at the wall clock. How long was I sleeping? I was supposed to hide the fact that I was already awake but then he saw my eyes moving.
“I am glad you are awake now!” he exclaimed.
“How long was I sleeping?” I asked.
“Hmmm, all night?”
“W-what? You mean you stayed here all night?”
“Yes, I couldn’t leave you alone when you suddenly passed out. Are you feeling okay now? Hungry? Come on, let’s eat something.”
“I need to take a quick shower first,” I said while rolling over from bed and walking toward the bathroom, but when I heard him gasp for air, I turned around, and this time, I caught my reflection in the mirror.
I screamed as I ran to get the blanket to cover my nudity. How did I forget about it? Gosh, how could I face him like an honorable lady when he already saw my nudity?
“You don’t have to be shy with me, Isabella. I already saw it all,” he mentioned as if it wasn’t a big deal.
“What do you mean?” I asked even if I already had an idea of what he was going to tell me.
“You were naked when I carried you to the bed,” he informed me in a nonchalant manner.
“Luke Skywalker! You didn’t!”
“But I did. Why are you acting like that? There was nothing embarrassing about being naked because we were born that way. And besides, your naked form was gorgeous, Isabella,” he said and I stared at him in disbelief.
“Did you really have to say that to my face?”
“Why not? Look at yourself in the mirror, sweetheart. Aren’t you gorgeous?”
