AMELIA’S P.O.V
Blake sat beside me. He claimed it was because he loved my company but I knew it was because he wanted to make sure I didn’t write anything that gave away our location. He didn’t fully trust me yet and I couldn’t blame him but I was a lot smarter than he gave me credit for and I had a plan. I just hoped that Kaden would be able to understand everything that I had written.
“Can you read it out?” I asked Blake. “I want to make sure that it is direct enough and that he understands everything.”
“Of course,” he took the paper from my outstretched hand and opened it up.
Kaden,
I heard that you were looking for me. You always had a funny way of trying to prove that you are the hero.
Life has a funny way of giving you what you want and what I want is Blake.
One day, I hope you understand and I hope you learn to forgive me. I left of my own accord. I asked Blake to come get me.
Very often, I would find myself dreaming about Blake, about our love and what could have been had you not taken me from him and very often, I realized that he was what I needed.
Everyone knew we weren’t meant to be. It was why your mother hated me. It was why Natasha came as well.
You are a good man, but you are not my good man. I hope you can move on, I hope you don’t hurt much from this. I hope you can get rid of your mark and have someone else mark you and love you.
One day, you will realize that I did this for the right reasons and I did this for us. I am safe, I am fine, you don’t need to know where I am. I apologize if you feel any pain down our bond but I can’t keep my hands off Blake, not when I have been made to do so for so long.
Understand that I am not trying to hurt you. I just got tired of pretending when I was with you. I got tired of pretending to love you so you wouldn’t hit me or hurt me. I got tired of pretending to be happy just so I could live. I couldn’t do it anymore and now I am safe and away in a place you will never find me.
Good luck,
Amelia.
Blake said nothing after he finished and I waited hoping he hadn’t seen my hidden message in it. Every second that ticked by seemed to feel like an eternity and I began to wonder if maybe he had seen through me when suddenly, he smiled. The corner of his lips tipped up into a small smirk and he pulled me to my feet with a kiss that knocked me off guard.
“You are amazing, Amelia,” he whispered against my lips. “I will have this sent to him immediately and maybe when I return, we can celebrate.”
He winked at me and all I could do was smile as he grabbed his phone and called someone. He left the room to send the message and didn’t return for another half an hour. By the time he got back, I was already seated in the kitchen staring out the window.
I heard him approach and I stilled myself for his touch. His hands settled on my shoulders and he placed a kiss on my neck. “You are a dream, Amelia, I can’t believe that I have you all to myself now.”
I forced a smile on my face. “It feels like a dream come true.”
He turned me around to face him. “Let us make it a little more magical, don’t you think?”
He kissed me before I had time to react and I forced myself to kiss him back. My chest was in knots and my heart was in tangles. Even though I knew I didn’t mean any word I wrote in that letter, it still felt like I had betrayed Kaden and Blake couldn’t and wouldn’t understand that. He was just happy because he thought I had picked him.
He lifted me by the thighs and placed me on the counter, spreading my thighs as he did. The moment I heard his belt buckle, I pulled back.
“Blake,” I warned and I could see traces of annoyance in his expression.
“What are you waiting for? You could fuck Kaden but you can’t fuck me.”
I frowned. “That’s not fair and you know it.”
“Then what are you waiting for?” he exclaimed. “I came for you, I brought you here and you won’t even fuck me. Do you love him? Is that what this is about.”
Yes. “No, it is the bond, he already marked me and even though I want you, the mark makes everything weird,” I thread my hands through his hair. “When we make love, it has to be because we are both free. I don’t want your bond with Brittany and this stupid mark to get in the way.”
I could tell he wasn’t happy but he didn’t protest anymore. He grumbled a few choice words under his breath before pressing a kiss to my forehead. “I understand, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have a little fun.”
He spread my legs and got on his knees.
“Blake, I don’t like this,” I tried to protest but he cut me off.
“Kaden just didn’t do it right for you, I’ll make you feel good, I promise.”
I tried to clamp my legs shut but his hold on my thighs was too strong. “I really don’t want to do this. I have bad experiences-”
“Let me make those experiences better,” his hands moved to my waist where he tugged down my pants.
I weighed my options in my head. I could either stop him and risk losing everything I had already worked so hard to build or I could just let him and allow him think I loved him. It was a hard decision but I needed to get out and for that, I needed him to trust me so with a sigh, I lifted my hips so he could pull my pants down completely and let him spread my thighs.
“I promise you, I will make you feel so good that you’ll forget all about Kaden.”
