'Wake up."


'Liam?" I asked through the mind link. My mind still clouded with sleep. Opening my eyes, I discovered that it was still really dark. Xander was asleep beside me, his hand tightened on my waist like he could tell I was awake.

'What's going on?"

'Get Alpha Xander and come to the border. Amelia is here."


I shot up into a sitting position.

'What?!"


Xander woke up.

'Leila…"

'I'm coming…we're coming."

Xander sat up and stroke my back. I watched him as he sniffed the air, a look of confusion settled on his face, he blinked and focused on me.

'What's wrong?"

'We need to go to the border. Liam said Amelia is here."

'So that's what it was."

'What?"

'The strange scent."

Grey, Damien, Liam and Hera were waiting for us at the border.

'Where is she?" Xander asked once we got close to them.

'Directly on the line dividing us from the forest. I think she's still shocked but she'll pick up my scent soon" answered Damien.

'Hey, you good?" Liam asked, standing beside me.

'Yeah just surprised. Who found out first?"

'Damien. He asked Grey to come get me, once he did, I linked you."

Xander nodded, 'I need to make this pack legal soon. We need a pack link. Damien, Grey, thank you."

They nodded. There was no point in saying anything, it was a known fact that they patrolled every night. If they weren't here, Amelia would have had the element of surprise.

'This means that our time is up. Later we'll discuss this better but, we need to send scouts to Antonio's packs."

'Yes Alpha" we chorused.

'First, let's deal with this bitch. Damien, you know that she will end up dead, are you prepared for that?"

I was with Xander on the killing part. It was the only way to get justice for our fallen members whether she pleads or not.

Damien nodded, 'neither my wolf nor I have any connection to her Alpha. Do as you please."

Xander nodded and gave his shoulder a path.

The pain will be minimal for him because they didn't perform the mating ceremony. Also, Damien and his wolf were on the same page concerning their mate.

'Alright. Our visitor is on the move, don't underestimate her or let your guard down."

Seriously, how strong was his sense of smell?

'Yes Alpha."

'Hera, ensure that she doesn't leave the border. Try and sever her family mind link with Antonio"

She nodded and disappeared.

'Damien, you'll be the only one she'll see. She will still scent Leila and I but her mind will be focused on you."

Damien nodded.

Xander gave my hair a tender stroke and that was it. I smiled, happy that he wasn't cuddling me.

'Liam and Grey stay at Damien's left. The moment she's engrossed in their conversation, we strike."

With a nod, we parted ways.

I followed Xander, giddy with the knowledge that I was getting my revenge.



Damien

Amelia looked rough. Although, she didn't look exhausted, her clothes, hair and body showed that the road had not been kind to her.

'Damien" she called and I stopped a distance away from her.

'Amelia. Why are you here?" I asked going straight to the point.

'Why am I here?" She repeated, 'how could you run away? With that bitch of all people?"

I tilted my head, confused, 'are you angry that I ran or that I ran with Leila?"

Amelia narrowed her eyes, 'irrespective of everything, you are my mate…"

'But you don't want me as a mate."

'Don't interrupt me Damien."

I chuckled, 'where do you think we are? Your father's pack?"

'You forget that I can have your sister killed." her lips pulled up into a viscous smile.

How did the goddess pair me up with such an evil brat?

'And?"

Amelia blinked, confused at my indifference. I almost wanted to smile at her confusion.

'Where is Leila?" She asked, switching tactics.

'I should know this because?"

An ugly scrowl covered her face, 'don't toy with me Damien. Where is she?"

'What will I get from telling you?"

'You'll be Alpha of course."

'Did your father make you Luna of any of his pack while I was gone?"

She frowned at me.

'No? Then how can you make me Alpha?"

'When I hand Leila over, I'll get what was promised to me. What is mine by birth right" she answered through clench teeth. She was getting frustrated.

'I don't recall saying I wanted to be Alpha."

Amelia marched to my front.

'I don't give a fuck about what you want. I'm asking you kindly, where the fuck is she?!!"

'You're in my personal space Amelia." I said staring at her.

Her eyes flashed with rage, her left hand raised, I saw the moon reflect on her blade, 'you mother fucking bastard!!"

'Hey lady, didn't he say you're in his space?" Grey asked. He caught her hand that held the dagger.

Amelia's eyes widened in shock.

'What the fuck?!" Her eyes darted to Liam who stood aside and back to Grey. '...how?"

Alpha Xander's plan was working nicely.

'Let me go!!" Amelia screamed trying to free her hand from his grip.

'I can't really do that. You're trespassing."

'Trespassing? I just wanted to see my mate. We had a little fight and split ways. I got lost but our mate bond led me to him. I'm sorry if I broke any rules, I'm just tired and want to be with my mate." Her voice was soft. She was trying to play the victim.

Grey looked at her for a bit before facing me. 'Is she your mate sir?"

'No. I just knew her from my former pack."

We decided to play along with her.

Amelia glared at me. Tears forming in her eyes, she drew Grey's attention.

'He's really my mate sir. He is just mad at me."

'Are you saying that your mate doesn't recognize you even after you did the mate bond?" asked Liam.

I was amused. Watching Amelia bite her lips, I knew this silly conversation was reaching it's end.

'Let me go sir."

'You don't want your mate anymore?"

Amelia growled, 'Fucking idiot, mind your business and let me go!!"

Liam smirked and Grey released her hand.

Amelia jumped back but we had her cornered.

'Three men against one little me doesn't seem fair." She pulled out her sword.

Wise decision. Shifting would have meant instant death for her.

'Killing my sister, kidnapping his sister and disrupting the peace of his pack when we committed no crime against you. Now that doesn't seem fair, does it Amelia?"

Amelia frowned realizing how fucked she was.

Revenge was sweet.

'Please don't tell me you're giving up" said Liam.

'As if."

'Good. I want to mess you up a little before we kill you."

Amelia laughed, 'I'll like to see you try."

Gripping to her dagger and sword, she attacked.

With how in sync the three of us were, fighting Amelia was almost disappointingly easy.

She attacked Liam with her sword, trying to keep him occupied so she could sneak an attack with the dagger.

I went for her back, she used her dagger to stop the strike. I hit it away and aimed for her chest. Amelia pushed Liam back, added her sword to deflect my blow.

Grey slashed her mid section, she jumped quickly. Only a shallow cut appeared on her stomach.

'Fuck!!"

Amelia made to dive for Grey but Liam was already behind her. His hand gripped her hair.

'You're fast but not fast enough." He pressed his sword to her neck.

'Drop your weapons and slowly get on your knees" I said.

She glared at me with so much hatred in her eyes. I smiled sweetly in return. She dropped them and lowered to the floor.

'Alpha, she's ready for you" Grey announced.

I watched Amelia's eyes widen with fear as Xander walked out.

'... how…I killed you…I killed you!!!"
