Lelia

Hera was a wonderful teacher. She didn't try to push or force out my powers, instead she coerced it out.

She asked me to treat it like an entity with feelings not just something I possessed.

So far, I could stop them at will when they reacted to my emotional state.

She hadn't told us anything about how my brother and I split up but at least now we knew how she met mom.

It was obvious that she missed my mother. Sometimes, she would stroke my hair and stare at me for a while with a small smile on her face but I knew she was seeing mom.

'Time flies weirdly don't you think my little Selen?"

That was what she called me. We were getting ready for another round of training. The men were at their own training, going about it since the crack of dawn.

It's been three weeks since Hera came and Liam had sited Amelia twice. Some of them were getting paranoid.

'What do you mean?"

'I'm not an immortal but the closest thing to one, Sometimes, years could go by unnoticed and sometimes days would feel unending."

'Yeah. It's crazy. I think it depends on what happens in that time, the things you do, the people you're with and the experiences you have."

'Hmm. You may be correct my little Selen. I never thought I'll say this, but I'm glad Xander came to meet me that day."

'Yeah?"

Xander had told me everything that happened.

Hera nodded and patted my head.

'It made me meet you. I thought I lost both of you."

I smiled at her.

'Alright. Emotional time over. Let's get to work."

I laughed and got up.

'Did you practice mental control like I asked?"

Hera circled me like I was a prey. She'd asked me to practice my response to things and situation, setting my mind in the right frame at night, for two weeks now.

'Yes."

'I shall be the judge of that."

Her body began to glow, it was like light was trying to burst out her skin. I looked away when she became too bright.

'Lelia."

I turned, not believing my ears but as my luck will have it, Carlson stood in her place.

'What the fuck?"

Can she shape shift? Is that freaking possible?

'Did you think you could run?"

I got my emotions under control but I could feel my powers trying to rise inside me.

'I'm not running." I replied calmly.

'Then, your hiding. Hiding from guilt that should be yours to carry."

'Guilt?"

'You can't possibly have forgotten that you killed a quarter of your pack?"

'What?"

What was he talking about? I didn't kill anyone.

'Can you say that if you had been in the pack and Alpha Xander was not searching for you we'd have lost?"

'No but…"

'There is no need for any buts!! Almost hundred lives lost because of you!!"

My powers where gaining control. The wind picked up.

'It was not my fault."

I gained control over my powers, tucking them in tightly. The winds died down.

'Oh? But I beg to differ."

I turned and saw Amelia.

****

'It's all your fault."

I was beginning to panic. Was it the real Amelia or not?

'The world doesn't revolve around you and yet, it seems that way. I can't figure out what's so special about you that makes these things happen to you."

Was she the real one? Besides, what the fuck does she mean?

In my momentary weakness, my powers took control.

Black mist raised from the ground, putting the field on darkness.

'I always tried to be a good sister. Even when you kidnapped and hurt me, I still saw you as my younger sister."

The darkness began to receed.

'But now I see that nothing will ever change between us. You'll hate me no matter what I do."

Amelia laughed, 'is that little speech supposed to make me pity you? Forget the fact that you keep taking things from me? I have to tell you that it's not working."

This girl…the sun began to penetrate the darkness. Sweat rolled down my face from the effort I was putting in controlling my powers.

'It's not my fault that you're jealous of the little happiness that I had."

'You bitch!! I'll clip this wings you seem to be growing."

A hand grabbed my shoulder. Thunder rumbled in the sky.

'Never turn from your foe in battle Leila said Carlson.

He gripped my wrist tightly, 'now come and atone for your sins."

Lightning hit the ground some feet away from us. The darkness vanished but the sky was filled with dark clouds.

'No…I'll kill her first." Amelia said.

Grabbing my other hand, she began to pull me towards herself.

Carlson's was stronger and he pulled me.

'Let go of your sister. I would teach her a lesson."

'No. You were too freaking easy to kill. I'll do it, maybe kill her if I'm bored."

'Amelia!!" Carlson roared, his eyes red with anger.

It felt like I was in a nightmare. They dragged me front and back, glaring and cursing at each other.

I hung my head, staring intently at the floor. I noticed movements.

The argument between my father and sister became background noise as I stared at the vines that were growing rapidly.

This was new.

I watched them grow towards the feet of my supposed family members in fascination.

I tilted my head and it followed, moving in the direction of my head. I paused, tilted my head again and the same thing happened.

I could control them!!

With my newly found control, I allowed the vine to slowly wrap around their feet.

Amelia stamped her feet, trying to free her foot from the vine still arguing.

Slowly, it went higher, growing stronger and thicker.

Amelia looked down when it had reached her knee.

She screamed.

Carlson jerked back, trying to free his foot when he realized. But, the grip of my vines were too strong. Amelia brought out her sword to cut it off.

With a flick of my now freed wrists, they dangled upside down.
