Damien's POV



l saw my precious little sister dressed in white beaconing on me to come to her with her face beaming with joy.

We were somewhat in a lovely garden, l could see different lovely creatures and the ambience was peaceful. For the first time in a while l was happy. Seeing my sister full of smiles made me elated.

l looked around and l was so much loving this place.


"No going back" I said to myself.

I ran to hug my sister but it seemed the closer l got to hugging her, the farther she seemed. Then suddenly l heard her call my name,


'Damien! Damien!! Damien!!! you have to go back its not yet time, you have to complete that which you started." I started crying and wailing.

'No! no!! no!!! l don't want to go back, please sister, l love it here already."

This time around l heard another voice that sounded more like thunder,

"Son, you have to go back now!"

Who could this be? It must the Goddess I said to myself. I was shouting and screaming.

'No! no!! no!!!"

When l opened my eyes, it was a dream.

I made up my mind and vowed to myself that l was going to do anything it takes to make Antonio pay for his sins even if that includes losing my life because as it is, l have lost everything, l have nothing more to lose.

As l said these words, l could feel my wolf Zack burning with rage and howling

'Revenge! Revenge!! Revenge!!! We must get our revenge."

I managed to get hold of myself as my body naturally responded to the powerful or should I say magic filled blows l received from Antonio.

It was night fall, one hour to the exact time l asked Leila to leave her cell. Thank the stars l woke up in the nick of time so our plans won't be ruined. I got myself prepared, grabbed a few weapons, arming myself as l readily anticipate any opposition from the guards on night duty. I quietly tiptoed trying not to make a sound and mind you, I'm a general and l am familiar with the tracks in this pack but still I have to be careful.

From a distance l could hear two of the guards on duty discussing about the fate of Leila and how Antonio will be the greatest in all the wolves pack in history due to his powers. Just as he was saying that, another guard walked in who also over heard their conversation and warned them to stop such conversations as it will only endanger their lives should Antonio or any favor- seeker in the pack get to hear their conversations.

They all agreed and changed the topic to how they would handle their women once they are married. I noticed they were enjoying their conversation with the bottles of alcohol that followed so as to keep them awake and at alert.

'Damien this is only chance of escape you have" l said to myself. I just needed to create a distraction. Thank the stars there were bottles at the area where l was watching them from.

I needed to create this distraction multi- directional. I threw the bottles to different directions and the guards started moving to the directions from where the sound came and l quickly made my way through the gates. Fortunately for me, someone left it opened.

I quickly ran to the area facing the tunnel where Leila would come out and l stood at a safe cover patiently waiting for her as l prayed the Goddess to also grant her safe escape as I was also granted.

As I stood in the thick dark forest waiting for Leila, since I already got a hint of Alpha Xander's whereabouts, a lot of thoughts flooded through my mind.

'What if Leila gets caught? What if Antonio or Amelia discovers my disappearance? Come to think of it, if I drop Leila at the location where Alpha Xander is, what if I get attacked because everyone knows I am a general of Antonios'. Will they believe anything I have got to say? Should I just go back to the pack and face the consequences of my actions? Damien think, what should you do? Oh yes I have got a plan, I will have to drop Leila at the proposed destination and look for shelter somewhere else that is safe first then later on, when its convenient, I will go meet Alpha Xander and tell him the whole truth. How I got involved in these whole shit and how I was used and deceived by the devil and his seed by that I was referring to Antonio and Amelia. If he listens to me and forgives me well, I will thank the stars but if otherwise,I will accept it in good faith. Hmmm, probably that's my punishment for all the atrocities I had committed."

Just as I turned to look at the portion of the camp facing the tunnel, I saw an image of a person looking like almost a skeleton.My instincts told me to be prepared for anything, so I took a fighting stance, fully ready for a fight with my wolf on the alert.

A closer look made me discover that the image is feminine.

'Could that be Amelia? that imposter, she will be done for already"I said to myself as if I could defeat her in a combat.

However, I haven't really had a one on one with her but from the way I have seen her fight in battles, I can tell she is a formidable force and a hard nut to crack. A serious one at that.

'Oh! Leila it's you" I said as I finally recognized the pale and lanky looking person though still beautiful even in that sorry and unkempt state.

'Thank the Goddess you escaped safely. Although you look more dead than living, if not for your unmatched and astonishing beauty, you can easily be likened to a malnourished and maltreated ghost in human form."

She glared at me and I flinched. I'm also to be blamed for her sorry state.

'We have to go now!"
